somebody spilled something at mid-court.

Perhaps Paul Bunyan was a bit excited at seeing a forest so large...

Looks more like something Babe the Blue Ox would do.

Man you have to hand it to the guy he gives back and has made Oregon the talk of sports with their sports stuff.

Here is an article by Rosenberg about Nike's influence on Oregon. Its pretty intense how much control they actually have.

More like someone barfed into the court from the sidelines..

At the very least it is original. Something that has never been done before with court design.
Uniforms, Courts. Maybe Oregon will debut the floating stadium next.

nothing special about a bball game between two middling teams in a pubic arena.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
everything that happens in a pubic arena is special.
(note: i'm almost prepared to believe that wasn't a typo, given the preceding "bush" comment.)

Am I the only one that's reminded of this?
I think Phil Knight might be the real life Bruce Wayne.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:14 PM ^
I'd hate to play on that thing...

January 13th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
That is the most amazing basketball arena I have ever seen. Anyone who isn't at least thinking that is a liar.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
Looks like cheap finish to me, or someone went completely insane with a floor sander.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
Oh what the world would be like if Phil Knight had any sense of aesthetics at all.
Or wasn't born?

January 13th, 2011 at 9:00 PM ^
There's a Chrysler Arena? Weird.

I thought the brown was darker, this isn't toooooooo overdone. I think it looks nice, def not the levels of Boise state/EWU. Maybe it will look darker on T.V?
January 13th, 2011 at 9:00 PM ^
I like the arena, not the floor.
January 13th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
I kinda dig it.

we have 3 seconds on the clock, and we need a three. Go out to the third mountain, turn and receive the inbound, then cross-court to the 7th branch on the 5th tree from the endline, shoot the trey and we win. 1,2,3, GO DUCKS

This isn't so horrible. At least it doesn't make my eyes bleed like the red turf. Yikes!
January 13th, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
Didn't the Vikings try something similar with their field this year??
January 13th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
Where's the gigantic nike swoosh? What about the enormous mug of Phil Knight? Kind of disappointing if you ask me.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
Every thing aesthetic about Oregon athletics disgusts me.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
Y'all are some haters I think it looks badass. Just like 90% of their footballs uniforms.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
on picture. Looking at it on TV, it actually looks really good, I think.

Everyone over 45 years old at Crisler would have a heart attack if Michigan did anything like Oregon's opening "ceremony"
January 13th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
Yeah, WOW. That was something else to say the least!
January 13th, 2011 at 11:09 PM ^
And that is exactly why they should do it. As long as we aren't talking literally.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:09 PM ^
That was so stupid... I can't believe they televised that. We debuted the new Big House and they didn't make a huge deal on TV like that. I mean we get it, the court is cool and new and weird looking, now stop dancing on it and play a game. Save it for a halftime show.
This has gone on for like 45 minutes now
