How is Fitzgerald Toussaint not on this list? Unfathomable.
November 18th, 2010 at 6:30 PM ^
He wasn't on it last week was he?
November 18th, 2010 at 7:03 PM ^
He was probable
November 18th, 2010 at 6:34 PM ^
Wasnt fitz listed as probable last week..
When I looked at it first I had to go back and scan it several times just to make sure I wasn't missing his name, lol
November 18th, 2010 at 7:00 PM ^
Hyah, probable to score a bunch of touchdowns. What!
November 18th, 2010 at 6:54 PM ^
SHHHHHH!
November 18th, 2010 at 7:49 PM ^
Fitzy heard this comment and promptly blew out both his ear drums. He's out against Wisconsin. Probable for Ohio State.

This is the key sentence from Chengelis' write-up:
November 18th, 2010 at 6:33 PM ^
Mouton and Martin WILL be needed! The question is, is a 75% Mouton/Martin better than their backup? I have to think with Wisconsin's run game, keeping fresh bodies alone would be reason enough to necessitate these guys.
November 18th, 2010 at 6:33 PM ^
Fitz isn't on the list.
November 18th, 2010 at 6:53 PM ^
they are needed
November 18th, 2010 at 6:55 PM ^
Questionable: Taylor Lewan: Head
...haven't people been saying this all season long?
(Seriously though, get better soon -- the donkeys are getting out of control around here.)
November 18th, 2010 at 7:04 PM ^
and never saw the field, we should be prepared to see Mouton and Martin on the sidelines for the whole game.
Losing Lewan and Shaw is as unnerving as a post-Gittleson dinner poop.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:07 PM ^
Personally I have would have anyone who is at all injured sit out this game. This means anyone included on the list along with any other players who have lingering injuries. I would rather see everyone up to full speed when we face the bucknuts.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:27 PM ^
Winning one of these games would be huge...sitting this one out may be a luxury we can't afford. My gut, which ain't worth much, is that we have a better shot against Wiscy. Sure hope Lewan and Martin are able to contribute.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:14 PM ^
Lewan, I hope your head gets better really soon.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:17 PM ^
Dorrestein is pretty steady and a Senior playing in his last home game. If Taylor can't go, we can still have great line play.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:50 PM ^
Huyge is the one who will replace Lewan at LT (Huyge was starter at LT at beginning of season)
November 18th, 2010 at 8:23 PM ^
dorrestein and hyuge are ok, but neither is as good as lewan. it'd be a huge boost to have him.
November 19th, 2010 at 10:23 AM ^
While I agree that Lewan has proven himself to be an upgrade over these guys, I feel a lot less nervous about having him out than I would about a lot of other positions. Our O line finally has some depth, and we were doing quite well there before Lewan broke into the starting rotation. Also, while Lewan is a beast, he has also made some mistakes that have stalled drives. If his head is affected, his judgment will not be improved. Letting some experience guys get the start if Lewan is questionable is fine by me. I want him ready to ride some buckeye donkeys.
That being said, if he's good to go there's no reason not to have him in there.
November 18th, 2010 at 7:50 PM ^
What is the upside to declaring a previously injured player 100% until he performs in a game?
I ignore the percentage and track the coach speak about how involved people were in practice.
I believe Mike Martin is performing all practice drills as usual, Mouton is being held out a little, and people with bruised brains aren't allowed to hit or be hit.
Mouton being a senior, I think he'd need to be in crutches to not play in this last home game.
November 19th, 2010 at 10:25 AM ^
Good point. I think Jonas will be hard to keep off the field.
Also, I've been wanting to +1 you for your avatar for a long time now and finally have the mgopoints to do it. So...there you go. Nicely done.
November 18th, 2010 at 8:24 PM ^
must be healthy. I hope he practiced effectively this week. From what little I have seen of him he will be needed. Go Fitz. This is by no way to slight to our other backs. V Smith has been at least as effective as Minor or Brown circa 2009
November 18th, 2010 at 8:25 PM ^
If they are needed? You mean if we are actually in this game?
November 18th, 2010 at 9:58 PM ^
When we are in this game, yes, they will be needed
November 18th, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
As much as Taylor, Shaw, Martin, and Mouton will make a huuuuuge difference in Saturday's game, and I want nothing more than to see us win while in attendance, I would half-rather rest all four to ensure their availability for next weekend's game against osu.
Winning out would be a dream, but I would rather have a W against osu than Wiscy.

Magnus that is your thumb and not my head...

Wonder if Lewan got injured on the play when he picked up the Smith fumble? I saw the replay and it looked like he landed hard and hit his head on the turf.
November 18th, 2010 at 10:57 PM ^
Based on what RR has done so far this season it's a pretty safe bet IMO that none of the players listed are going to see the field. I can't remember any player being listed as 50 or even 75% that played. I could be wrong (and i'm sure I'll be quickly corrected if I am) but it sure seems like if a player is on Rich's injury list they are really, really hurt.
Unfortunately.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:35 AM ^
Dorrestein was 75% for Purdue and played a bit:
http://mgoblog.com/content/michigan-injury-report-purdue
I'm pretty sure that's happened with some regularity.
Also, didn't RR say Fitz wasn't riding the bench because of the injury, but because the other guys were keeping him there (presumably: by being better)?
November 19th, 2010 at 2:33 AM ^
I thought that was about Cox?
November 19th, 2010 at 12:10 AM ^
How awesome would it be if fitz came out and started.....and dominated. Getting 200 yards on 20 attempts with 4 touchdowns.
A man can wish, but in all seriousness, it would be amazing if he came out and played well and helped us to a victory.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:43 AM ^
Both Martin and Mouton said they could've played last week but RR held them out. Just relax, those two will be out there.
November 19th, 2010 at 7:23 AM ^
if lewan is out and martin can't play extended minutes. patterson played well last week but i think he'll get steamrolled by those monsters on the wisc oline. get mr miyagi to ann arbor asap.
November 19th, 2010 at 8:21 AM ^
It's good see that Fitz isn't on that list anymore. Hopefully he contributes big time in an upset this weekend.
November 19th, 2010 at 9:38 AM ^
If Toussaint is healthy I'd like to see him get carries sometime early in the game so that if he can provide some kind of spark let's take advantage of it early...any running game we get from the tailbacks will make Denard's life a ton easier both throwing and running
