Who are We??? A Question I've Always Wondered.

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on

Its summer, there isn't a whopping amount going on, thought it would be a good time to ask this question that I've wondered about since I joined the MGoBlog community. Very simply, I've always wondered in a more general sense (not about anyone specifically) who all of you are (categorically speaking of course). Would appreciate any of you who choose to participate in this unscientific study, feel free to answer with one of the following categories that best describes you:

1) high school student

2) University of Michigan student

3) student at another University or college

4) Michigan alum

5) Non-alum Michigan fan

I know many of you relish your anonymity but again, just trying to figure out a little more about who comprises the MGoCommunity.

And for the sake of fair play - I'm a 4, Michigan alum of over a decade.

I'm a 4, class of '07E, did the marching band thing for the last 3 years.  Now back in my hometown of Vermont where my family has gotten frustratingly green and white... mom's a sparty, dad's neutral, brother and sister are sparty as well.

My older sister is a 4, younger sister is currently at Little Brother, parents went other places, and the rest of the family is dominated by Green and White. Holler.

I grew up in AA, have one parent who is a doc at the U and started going to the Big House when I was seven.  The day I got accepted was one of the best days of my life (along with my wedding day and the birth of my son).  i never applied anywhere else.  I hope to be the parent of a 2 in another ten years.

school I to which I applied, too.

I am curious whether any current or incoming students still use(d) that strategy.  I called the admissions officer every day until I got my acceptance letter.  I had no backup plan at all -- I was All In for Michigan before I knew what the hell that meant.

4, BA '09.

And no one in my family had any connection to U of M before I decided to go there, so I don't have the lineage of a bunch of you.

Best years of my life...too bad I don't remember a lot of them.
