Who are We??? A Question I've Always Wondered.
Its summer, there isn't a whopping amount going on, thought it would be a good time to ask this question that I've wondered about since I joined the MGoBlog community. Very simply, I've always wondered in a more general sense (not about anyone specifically) who all of you are (categorically speaking of course). Would appreciate any of you who choose to participate in this unscientific study, feel free to answer with one of the following categories that best describes you:
1) high school student
2) University of Michigan student
3) student at another University or college
4) Michigan alum
5) Non-alum Michigan fan
I know many of you relish your anonymity but again, just trying to figure out a little more about who comprises the MGoCommunity.
And for the sake of fair play - I'm a 4, Michigan alum of over a decade.
Great thread!

I be a 3
Currently a 3, but probably going to grad school, so still a chance that I spend some time as a 2.
but technically a 5 since I am not currently taking classes, but I plan on finishing.
B.A. 2003, M. A. 2006.
I went from being a 1, to a 3, and am currently a 5.
I grew up in Ann Arbor, did everything Michigan - pre-school at Pound House, summer-camps, football/basketball games, youth band and orchestra at the school of the music. Just about everything was Michigan affiliated.
But when it came time for me to choose a college, I decided I didn't want to go to college with everyone from high school. And I didn't want to risk being caught partying in the same town as my parents. And I didn't want to have to deal with half the profs being friends with my parents.
So I ran away to California and went to school in Pasadena. Where my three best friends were a Buckeye, a Longhorn, and a Trojan. It was a long four years.

Same rules as before: As you can probably tell from the thread, a lot of the 1's, 3's and 5's have 2's and/or 4's in their family. I didn't want to do a full-on census (as I will be moving out of my dad's place, throwing a birthday party before I leave, and then starting 40-hr work weeks) but the numbers are here for anyone who's interested:
1: 3
2: 24
3: 18
4: 102
5: 39
I'm a 2, going to be a 4 this time next year.
4 sorta married to a 4 who I met while we were both 2's.

Grew up in Mich. but didn't become a loyal UM fan until I was stationed in Ohio (Air Force). After being around numerous Buckeye fans the choice was obvious.
