Are you comparing high maintenance boards to high maintenance broads? I have found one to be much easier to manage then the other.

03/05/2012 - 1:23pm Good for him

He gets the opportunity to play FBS football and most likely Michigan will never have to play against him.

03/05/2012 - 1:11pm Per usual, nice work Brian.

Per usual, nice work Brian.  I love how the seniors know that they are not just playing for themselves now, but also for the future of Michigan basketball.  They have totally bought into the program and deserve to see that banner.  Be nice if the NCAA bracket stays as is, a sweet 16 rematch with Duke would be explosive.

03/04/2012 - 9:00pm Terrible news

Thats tough to recover 100 percent from. He has a ton of potential and i believe he is true fresh with a redshirt left. Being so young, he will be able to take his time recovering.

03/04/2012 - 8:40pm Travesty if he doesn't

The point position runs the entire offense while the center usually relies on teammates to get him the ball in favorable positions. If the stats are comparable, i would be very surprised if Burke doesn't get the nod. Bonus is that he has propelled his team to a better regular season.

03/04/2012 - 8:35pm Considering all that the

Considering all that the coaches have already accomplished without the explosive and fast twitch athletes most other top teams have says a heck of a lot. They also had to run a smaller then ideal line up for the last few years. The coaches sure have coached the hell out of those young men.

03/04/2012 - 8:31pm Both are great

But the football team was more impressive because of the turnaround from the previuos years record. And to do it all with a totally new coaching staff.

03/04/2012 - 6:57pm I don't know...

But i think his wrestling style would translate well.

The first of many. Hail.

03/04/2012 - 6:41pm Awesome job.

The team has had a great year and deserves the reward.

Reminds me of some last shot heartbreakers that have gone against us the last few years.

Bad foul. Late whistle with no contact.

03/04/2012 - 5:56pm Be nice to see a foul for

Be nice to see a foul for obvious flops like NHL does. Close calls wouldn't get the foul but stuff like the Green flop is more thesbian in nature then basketball.

03/04/2012 - 5:52pm Holy pants

Buford is hot hot hot.

03/04/2012 - 5:47pm Great stuff

Thanks for the hardwork. I appreciate it when you guys give a feeling on the recruit's interest in michigan.

03/04/2012 - 5:42pm In the bonus already? Sweet.

In the bonus already? Sweet.

03/04/2012 - 5:40pm Big shot by Bufford. They

Big shot by Buford. They need to hit outside to spread msu out a bit.

03/04/2012 - 5:32pm Yeah, Russell did a great job

Yeah, Russell did a great job of being strong and balanced during the match. He took advantage of Marion's aggressive moves and really just looked superior throughout.

03/04/2012 - 5:25pm I think msu is going to miss

I think msu is going to miss Thornton and Wood quite a bit next year.

03/04/2012 - 5:21pm Green has a potty-mouth.

Green has a potty-mouth.

03/04/2012 - 5:16pm I believe they said he is

I believe they said he is only the 11th wrestler from the big ten to win four straight. And the first in a while.

02/23/2012 - 3:58pm To be PC

Westling is real, Big Time Wrasslin' is not.

02/15/2012 - 8:04pm Jake Ryan

The guy is a tackling machine. I would count on him being able to get into a good position and then be physical enough to finish the tackle.

02/03/2012 - 5:04pm Back points

1 point for 2 seconds

2 points for 3-4 seconds

3 points for 5 seconds.

You can only get 3 back points during a single pinning hold. A 5 point takedown is 2 points for the take down that goes directly into a pinning position and is held long enough to get the 3 back points.

01/30/2012 - 2:44pm Great pick up

Lots of good things have been said about his abilities and the pipeline school he comes from.  Considering his size, experience playing offense, and what some evaluators think is very rough block shedding technique; is their anyways he could be groomed into an offensive center?  He seems to have the size and foot speed for it, just another thought for debate if nothing else.

01/08/2012 - 9:44pm Matchups

Matter.

01/08/2012 - 9:36pm The

...teams with 1 loss that have not already lost to LSU this year.

01/08/2012 - 9:28pm I also will not watch

...this game represents to me, ESPN and the media kissing the ring on the SECs hand. They already played this game. It is pointless. Not to mention that there are better teams then Alabama.

11/12/2011 - 5:23pm Great observations

Thanks for taking the time and effort to write this up.  I wouldn't worry about the lack of effort from a linemen playing both ways.  The pad level is always a concern, but then again it's a concern for most tall/large players.  Glad to hear Drake is athletic enough to play all over the field.

10/17/2011 - 6:10pm Whether he whines about dirty

Whether he whines about dirty play is irrelevant.  Your post was full of the derps.

09/13/2011 - 10:22am OL

Blocking a LB well is very difficult for most linemen.  I wouldn't undervalue the block just because the LB is a smaller person.  Most times the OL have to anticipate where the contact with the LB will be made(since LBs flow depending on their reads) and then make the blocks in space where the smaller and quicker athletes hold the advantage.

09/13/2011 - 10:16am Lucky Bombs

He has a hard enough time throwing a pass intentionally accurate.  Do you really believe he is intentionally trying to throw inaccurate and somehow throws the ball to where he wants on each of his long completions?  I can understand trying to stik up for him, but he isnt throwing "rear shoulder" passes on purpose.  He isn't accurate enough to consistantly do it proper.

09/12/2011 - 1:17pm Not objective, but he is correct.

Denards strengths are not taking drop steps from under center, sitting in the pocket, and throwing long passes accurately downfield.  It is akin to asking Tommy Rees to run QB draw, QB power, or option.  It doesn't make that much sense to ignore a players strengths and try to highlight his weaknesses.

09/11/2011 - 5:30pm I don't know

But he is important to the defense.  He is an agressive football player, a high energy athlete, and a team leader.

09/11/2011 - 11:55am Some rythms

..you don't want to establish.  Like hitting the line slow or running with eyes down and missing the hole.

09/11/2011 - 11:53am Great explanation

Did you look this up or have expereince as an official?

09/11/2011 - 11:21am The defensive holding

call was the worst one for me.  If our DB turned his head to the ball there wouldn't have been the pass interference penalty.  I have no problem with that.

09/04/2011 - 3:40pm O-line

Give it up for the guys upfront.  They opened the holes that created running success.  Yesterday, I wouldn't have mattered who ran behind them.  To highlight this was Toussaint and Shaw both breaking big runs.

09/03/2011 - 5:19pm Kick coverage

The problem isn't with the coverage guys, it's the kick.  There hasn't been enough hang time on the kick offs which means the returner gets the ball well before the coverage can get down the field in their lanes.

07/26/2011 - 11:15am Speculation

The Freep doesn't need anyhting more then speculation to run with a story.

07/24/2011 - 3:02pm No and yes

Yerden is from Parchment (small city north east of Kalamazoo).  And yes he broke the deadlifting record.

07/05/2011 - 3:26pm Disagree

If anything, I think Coach Rodriguez over strategized for the players is his system.  You will find very few football coaches who question his genius, but imo his handling of personnel was the offenses achilles heel (example: using Smith in short yardage situations).

07/02/2011 - 9:32pm This post

06/24/2011 - 5:07pm Sensitive

When did people start being so sensitive?  I see nothing wrong with what he wrote, nor is it different from the tone of "hello" posts for similar hyped prospects.
