I would much rather have an experienced WR coach than a grad assistant. We have so much talent at that position I really do not understand how we have refused to put any resources toward that position.

First he says Denard's a poor thrower, then he completes two absolutely perfect pases.

As soon as Gallon catches that first pass, he immediately says "Michigan's gonna score" and Gallon's stopped 15 yards from the end zone.

Then he completely whiffs on the TD call.

And he does all this in the same monotone voice.  Where's Tom Hammond when you need him?

Chad would probably be a great coach, and I'm all for second chances, but the dude had domestic battery and assault convictions in both 2000 and 2012.

I wouldn't touch him in a normal climate, and especially not with all the crap going on in EL. If an NFL team wants to give him a shot that's fine, but a college team would be incredibly tone deaf and potentially dangerous. I do believe that he is remorseful, but you can't take that chance.

Perhaps my reading comprehension is bad, but did that article say that we are basically swapping WR coaches with Indiana State?  He was the WR coach at ISU, and the article says that he's coming to Michigan since Joe Hastings took that job at ISU?

I really like Roy Roundtree, but it seems like we should be able to bring in more experience rather than trade coaches with a Missouri Valley Conference team.

We are going from a grad assistant with zero previous coaching experience, to a grad assistant with three years WR coach experience. Both have been coaching since 2015, so depending on how you value 3 years WR G.A. position at Michigan vs. 3 years WR coach position at lower divison level. At worst they break even.

The article is not super clear, but my understanding is that the ISU position is an actual position coach rather than a grad assistant. So Michigan gets a position coach as a grad assistant, Hastings gets a position coaching spot, and Roy gets to come home. Win-win-win?

He's coached the position for the last few years and has played in both college and NFL at the same position. Not a sexy hire but it's baby steps, who knows maybe he'll do really good especially with recruiting and joins the staff.

So pumped!!  Maybe he can bring back the Donald Duck impression and joins the Maize Rage again.  And his "I'm Hoongry" answer in the press conference after he set the record was tremendous.

There are few Wolverines I've enjoyed rooting for more than Treezy.

A Michigan grad, played in the NFL, and 3 years as a WR coach...and some people are upset???? Let's judge him after next season, but I am excited. At the very least its a MAJOR upgrade over last season.

Welcome home!

I can't believe with all the help provided from the internet that Harbaugh hasn't figured out he needs coaches for all the position groups.    When can we fire this guy?

Some posts here just make me shake my head. Obviously Roundtree is qualified by virtue of his experience and his skills. He wouldn't be on staff if that wasn't the case. Harbaugh is a better coach than any of us, and were it not so, we'd be making the millions instead of him. It's great that he's coming back to Ann Arbor!
