ON 9/11!!!

09/14/2018 - 10:53am Hey man, punter shenanigans…

Hey man, punter shenanigans are NOT funny around here.

Too soon.

09/11/2018 - 1:29pm 1. If Rutgers actually ever…

1. If Rutgers actually ever did #fencethegarden they'd be a national powerhouse.

2.  Dammit, I need more info on the Villanova rematch, I want to go to that game.

09/10/2018 - 11:56am For the booing:  didn't M…

For the booing:  didn't M have to use a timeout and then get a penalty after the timeout anyway?  That plus residual crankiness from week 1 (I thought) made the booing pretty understandable.

07/10/2018 - 4:33pm I'd give this guy a few reps…

I'd give this guy a few reps at TE, too.

"Here, go run to the end zone and be really tall."

07/10/2018 - 1:49pm 1) Obviously, this is…

1) Obviously, this is awesome news.

2) Now, why isn't MAAR getting one of these?

06/01/2018 - 1:14pm Villanova Q

Has anyone seen where the 'Nova game will be played?  I've seen both the Pavillion and also the Wells Fargo Center.  The first one has a better atmosphere, but visiting fans would actually have a chance at tickets if it's at the big arena.

05/29/2018 - 3:14pm slightly OT

Is anyone planning on going to that game?  I'm local but haven't seen a thing about tickets yet.

05/10/2018 - 11:13am LeBron

James spent most of his career dragging crappy teams to conference and NBA's pretty remarkable.

05/02/2018 - 11:21am Livers

Michigan won 2 games directly from his inbounds ability, plus 3 more in the tourney (games after Houston).  His rotator cuff is a legitimate weapon.

05/02/2018 - 11:19am yes

04/23/2018 - 10:27am No diggity is a perfect song

That is all.

04/16/2018 - 2:12pm Livers

And don't forget, he's the best inbounder in the history of basketball*.

04/09/2018 - 4:13pm Wow

That second still pic is a fucking renaissance painting.

04/02/2018 - 3:38pm Ring-er??

Ugh, I almost forgot that existed.  Sad, I used to F5 Grantland almost as much as this site.

04/02/2018 - 12:00pm SIBMIHHAT

I get this, but isn't a better category "Should I be mad if I see him put up a three?"  Like I'll be upset when Bridges makes one not because it was lucky (obviously) but dammit, run that guy off the line.

04/02/2018 - 10:04am for real?

I'm the opposite.  I remember thinking in 2013 it was basically a toss-up game.  Tonight feels like playing Basketball 'Bama.

03/26/2018 - 11:55am Co-sign

My bracket says M over Villanova...but if I had to bet my house I think I’d swap the winner.

03/23/2018 - 1:49pm 3 point video

Is awesome for many reasons, but check out 1:20 in.  Everyone starts walking back in sync when Moe's 3 goes up.

03/23/2018 - 9:32am lol

Ibi Watson says hi.

03/20/2018 - 12:07pm ACE

I laughed for literally 30 seconds at "TOUCHDOWN BILLY TAYLOR" and very nearly crashed my car.  Dammit, guys!

03/15/2018 - 11:34am get it

Irrationally excited for the Penn/Kansas game.  Go 16 seeds!

03/08/2018 - 7:32am I mean

If Pop thinks you are a good’re probably a good coach.

03/04/2018 - 8:36am Self-own

Honestly, I didn’t sound too different during football season.

03/01/2018 - 8:37pm actual "Arenas"

Honest question- have you heard of the Palestra in Philly?  It's basically Yost for college basketball; or Cameron Indoor without the Duke A-holes.

02/25/2018 - 9:25pm Seriously guys?

I love a lot of these, but most of them are NOT for newbies.

OP, get some Johnny Walker Black and see how it goes.  It's a blend, but a damn good one.  Scotch and bourbon can be in the uncanny valley from each other- I started on scotch and all bourbons tasted "wrong" to me at first. From there you can try some single malts and see how much "smoke" you like.  My own favorite is Talisker, but there are many many wonderful bottles to try.

02/21/2018 - 1:48pm autobid

It's a private school in Central NJ...they're good for a few autobids a decade.

02/05/2018 - 11:15am dude

Rogue One?

02/01/2018 - 9:38pm It's ok

I had a colicky newborn and DVR'd the 2nd half.  I did have the best Sunday morning of my life, however.

01/25/2018 - 7:20am Yup!

I am as well. Mostly we listen to the AD talk about how awesome he is.

01/16/2018 - 1:32pm MAAR

That photo was all over Twitter after the game, for good reason.  I hope it lives on here as meme for years.

01/15/2018 - 1:49pm respect

I was literally teethed on scotch and it's still my #1, but there are a lot of really wonderful bourbons out there right now.

Jack Daniels will always be disgusting, however.

01/09/2018 - 2:04pm yoo!

Mike and Allison Spratley!!  Good times.

01/09/2018 - 12:27pm Chiming in

Bravo and thank you, Ace. I suddenly came down with IBS a few years ago; it’s about 1% as severe as your situation but still left me miserable, depressed and debilitated.

You have our unconditional love and support. I hope you continue to tell your story.

12/17/2017 - 3:52pm Lol

With a slash line of FB/TE/ATH, was there ever any doubt he would end up with Harbaugh?

12/12/2017 - 12:42pm hurrah for grad transfers

Michigan has been on both ends of them, so I have to say that I love the grad transfer rule.  It puts an emphasis on playing school, can land students in better situations (going up OR down a competition level) and could potentially really make the team better quickly. It's a win/win for the student and school.

Of course, I'm convinced the NCAA will kill it as soon as they can, for reasons.

12/08/2017 - 1:43pm Outback Bowl D-line

I haven't seen this written elsewhere, but isn't there a silver lining for the team if Hurst doesn't play?  Assuming Chase doesn't also go pro, it's a great way to see how different lineups play looking forward to 2018.

I really, really want to beat ND next year.

11/30/2017 - 3:07pm Uh

The 2017 team might have won 11 games with "Wilton Speight 2.0".  We can only hope for that level of competence.

11/27/2017 - 2:54pm damn

+1 insightful, and sadly probably true.

11/25/2017 - 10:01am JOK

WTOL just reported that O’Korn is much for the Peters/Speight miracle.

11/21/2017 - 3:50pm I can top that

If Michigan wins- because Speight makes a Willis Reed level appearance- I may ascend directly to the heavens from happiness.

11/02/2017 - 2:42pm After Rutgers, I would be OK

After Rutgers, I would be OK with this.  Run behind Cole and a pulling Grapes-of-Wrath until they stop it and then bomb play action over the top.

10/27/2017 - 10:40am uhh

(whispering) Should Kinnel or Metellus have blue circles?  Or are they "fine" and only stick out because they are playing on this D?

10/26/2017 - 10:13am obviously

It'd be impossible not to, he's turning into a generational talent. I wonder if we end up playing Gary inside some next year?

10/24/2017 - 12:31pm Ha!

Looks like the main page just stole your thunder.  That is a great article, though.

10/23/2017 - 12:16pm I be like dang

Much will be said about 1) Michigan's problems in this game and also 2) Penn State's refusal to own up to their past, and rightly so.  However, I'd just like to say that PSU was a fucking buzzsaw in this game.

They are the Braylon/Hart offense, BUT with a faster, stronger (!!) version of Hart, and also coached with a "Harbaugh against Rutgers"-level of genius and cruelty.

10/16/2017 - 1:22pm wildcat time?

Do we think anybody knows the Pepcat plays from last year?  This would be a great time for that package- we have no QB anyway and a bunch of talented running backs.

10/11/2017 - 12:32pm fucking hell

What makes this even worse is that both of the things we love (M and US Soccer) are suffering from the same problems.  Structural problems combine with bloody fate to give us situations where there are old guys (O'Korn, Kugler; Bradley, Duece and Altidore), a bunch of underseasoned kids, and not much in the middle.

As I watched the end of the matches last night with a combination of a knot in my stomach but also a wry smile ("of COURSE it would end like this"), I realized the last time I felt that combo was September 1, 2007.

Fun times!

10/02/2017 - 1:07pm hot take?

Maybe, but here goes:

If Speight really broke multiple bones in his neck (only a rumor, I know), then I hope he starts putting a resume together for "Pro-Style QB coach".  I want to see him upright at reunions a few decades from now.
