Attn: Delaney / B1G Refs...

Submitted by Cali Citrus Man on

We have not forgotten your intentional screw job last year in Columbus.  We have not forgotten the unprofessional behavior of Daniel Capron, Bobby Sagers, and Kevin Schwarzel.  You swung the game 17 poins with 10-15 blatant and timely calls and no calls.  Due to your actions the Ohio State Buckeyes were dismembered by Clemson by 5 touchdowns.  You cheated hard working student athletes like Jabrill Peppers, Taco Charlton, Jourdan Lewis, Jake Butt and many others out of a decisive victory over OSU.

We have not forgotten...

Below are only a few of the blatant and embarassing calls from the one sided debacle last year.

You owe Michigan a 17 point swing like you gave OSU.  We have not forgotten you and your disgraceful actions.

(Edit - for those saying move on - no.  You do not let injustice of this magnitude stand.  Call it out.)

Maybe if that game were officiated properly, OSU would have been saved the embarrassment of getting hilariously blown the fuck out to the tune of 31-0 for all the world to see. They clearly had no business beating Michigan or being anywhere near the playoff at all.

I'm seeing a lot of "the refs didn't throw 2 picks or fumble", but can these same posters honestly say OSU deserved and played well enough to win!? 8 sacks, fake punt from their own 27, zero offensive points in the first half... For all the mistakes Michigan had that day, the Buckeyes looked like a clown show, a total paper tiger, and were shown to be such when they ran into real Tigers.

that's the best part, imo. big bad ass 11 draft pick michigan, heisman finalist, genius coach haver michigan's biggest win in 2016 was a clemson game. that you guys watched at home. a day after losing your own bowl game to finish off the best season u-m's had since 2006 with fewer wins than nfl draft picks. but at least you guys can hang the "cemson beat ohio state" plaque in schembechler hall right next to the "harbaugh coached in a super bowl" plaque.

you may think throwing out the "oh you lost to clemson" line hurts my feelings, but oh man, it just owns you guys way harder than it owns me. michigan used to beat ohio state. sometimes often! now they hope someone else does it instead. tough stuff.

besides, most of what you said is true! which, again, is the best part. michigan was better than osu last year. no doubt. if michigan and ohio state had a re-match a week later, the score has a better chance of resembling 31-0 than it does osu winning again. osu basically needed its defense to score 14 points to keep the game close enough for their offense to string together a few late qb runs to force overtime at home.

the fact you guys are still posting referee manifestos 365 days later is so funny. it compelled me to be a dick about it. i just couldn't help it. no one here cares about meyer rubbing harbaugh's nose in his own pee at midfield in ann arbor in 2015, because blowouts come and go. but everyone here will remember 2016 and the refs and everything else for the rest of your lives. and that's uniquely hilarious and satisfying. but i guess clemson beat osu, so that took the sting off.

were you to be screwed like that after spending the entire 21st century in oblivian. Mich finally puts a better team on the field, plays a better game, mistakes and all, and an officiating crew made up of people from the State of Ohio Sports Hall of Fame decides to gift the game essentially to themselves.  And yes, the fact that those pricks could not save you from a total destruction by Clemson is a bit of shadenfreude.

Everyone knows OSU has had a better football program for a long long time.  They were even better most of the time back when M was springing all those upsets of Cooper, and not one of those wins could be attributed to the kind of gross screwing by officials, that happened last year.

So sure, you lose 15 of the 17 games played this century, finally win one, and have that one taken away.  I'm sure we'd see nothing but grace and dignity from you.  But then the fact that despite all this you have to troll this board, tells me otherwise.

Judging by his mgopoints he doesn’t troll. In fact his post is the only one that doesn’t sound like a whiny sore loser wrote it. Michigan fans are fucking insufferable. You wanna win a big game? Then fucking win it and don’t leave it up to the refs!!!! Don’t throw the ball to the Buckeyes in crucial situations and crumble under pressure when you have a senior laden team in Columbus. Don’t get flagged for throwing a fucking tantrum on the sideline and breaking your headset in the process AND NO, NO OTHER CFB COACH throws sideline tantrums like Harbaugh did last year.

Every. Fucking. Loss. Is the refs fault now. This is how pathetic this fan base is these days. Take some McGary advice and fucking win the game!!!!! Something this god damn program has been choking away for 15 years.

We were trying to WIN the game, when the refs blatantly interrupted.

There is a certain level of referee ineptitude that is acceptable, but when it far exceeds that level than we as fans have every right to kick and scream and whine and moan.

MSU this year was equally as bad and I could produce a film similiar to OSU last year.

The refs in the Wiscy game obviously hurt us as well, although it wasn't as blatant IMO as the 2 previously mentioned games.

Not every loss is the refs fault, but we have certainly been victimized far too often recently.

SO you think our fan base is pathetic, and I think BIG officiating is pretty pathetic as well.

I think Michigan outplayed the Buckeyes last year and put themselves in a position to win. They certainly had opportunities to put it away.  The one-sided officiating also played a part.

The officiating was absolute garbage and there was no denying that. And it favored Ohio State. Big time.

I don't believe in some Grand Conspiracy or any shit like but you have to think that that call on Harbaugh was pure unadulterated bull shit.  I've never seen a coach get called for that. Ever.  And you're gonna make that call in a game as big as this one?  You've got to be kidding me.  And if I recall correctly,  Urban made his way deep onto the field a number of times to bitch at the refs and never got flagged. That was one of the worst calls of the day and made me think that the refs were historically horrible and it harmed Michigan's chances to win the game.  I'm not denying Michigan made mistakes that cost them but the dismal officiating can't be ignored.

Can't believe you thought that call was justified.  This isn't basketball.

Dude, you're better than this. Your subtle trolls are often very funny and undeniable, but right now you're just acting like a dick. I've always respected you as a poster - but being a Buckeye fan - that can go away very quickly. Maybe you don't care, but the fact you have 10k+ points a rival's board tells me otherwise.

The post isn’t just about the osu game, which was a fix just by selecting osu fans to ref the game. This post is about the overwhelming amount of poor officiating that has befallen Michigan. It is undeniable that Michigan has been screwed time and time again by the refs. So we should just accept the horrendous officiating and move on? Had it happened to you and the buckeyes we’d never hear the end of it. Fuck the buckeyes.

I agree that was the worst officiated sporting event since the "Slickster" was a special guest referee for the Intercontinental Championship Belt in 1986. We won and everyone knows it. However, it's not going to help us win on Saturday and is, therefore, irrelevant. Let it go.

But, imagine that, I watched the video and damnit. It’s hard to say move on here. I believe some one else said it’s worse too that the big ten said review of officiating was good.

We made too many mistakes to win.  Simultaneously, the refs officiated the game in a biased enough manner to give OSU a chance to make plays (which to their credit they did) that they very well would not have gotten had penalties been called with a semblance of fairness.  These are both true things.

If anyone thinks the Big Ten and the Big Ten refs would ever allow Michigan to beat Ohio State in these circumstances, you need a reality check. Ohio State is the darling of the Big Ten and is lined up to waltz into the playoff. The Big Ten will not allow Michigan or Wisconsin to beat them. The Big Ten approaches this like a business- the best business is to have Urban Meyer and Co on the big stage. That’s why Wisconsin could not lose to Michigan- they need Ohio State to beat an undefeated Wisconsin in the conference championship. Just keep an eye on every controversial call in these next two games. They will all go in favor of OSU. Conspiracy theory? Absolutely. It’s just business.

Blame the stagnant offense and poor QB play...sems to be a reoccurring theme.  I guess you could have looked at last year, the warning signs were there.  Take it out of the Refs hands.

Hell no, this injustice is something I will not be letting go of for years to come. Especially when Urban Meyer's was asked about it and his body language and comment completely indicated that we had won that game.

That was a screw job and it hurts even today. M made mistakes and that is besides the point. Refs made key mistakes to screw over M. B1G did nothing after the game also. Biased pricks. I moved on but can't forget this one. I really wish we have a health QB this week in WS or BP. I also want Harbaugh to publicly declare war against OSU. I know he won't do it but I want that. I want OSU to knos it is coming. M beating them consistently will happen. I would like this game, with injuries all over the place, to be that Stanford team that beat up on almighty USC. Go Blue!

refs didn't make mistakes--that I could live with, excuse, roll my eyes and dismiss like every other incompetent thing the B1G does. The refs were biased. Big difference. They deliberately made decisions to favor one team over the other, and that's why this should have been the biggest college football scandal in 30 years.

Our QB's are getting killed without even a flag. The bias continues because Delaney is trying to get back at Harbaugh. Part of fighting city hall involves city hall fighting back.

Shit... Have you not noticed the media circle jerk over OSU for as long as I can remember? Now that Meyer is there it's even worse. I literally stay away from big sports sites because I can't stand all of the OSU shit that immediately pops up in my face. I don't think publicity has anything to do with why Delaney may or may not hate harbaugh

On 3rd and 9, when you have Curtis Samuel basically stuck behind a wall, don't let him run around and get 8 yards?

Or don't call horrible pass plays from your end zone?

Wonder if the commentators will bring up the questionable officiating from last years game and if so how they are going to go about siding with the conference's view...."oh according to UM fans there were some questionable calls in last years game but......"
