Thank God for Lloyd Carr.  The only Michigan coach to beat that jerk.

Sucks that Harbs won’t be able to say that.

12/02/2018 - 9:20pm Yup. In the not too distant…

Yup. In the not too distant future we’re all going to wake up and realize we’re simply watching minor league football.  And you have to wonder if the Toledo Mudhens could draw 100,000.

And we can thank the NCAA for all of it.

12/02/2018 - 3:12pm Shit the bed. It’s fucking…

Shit the bed. It’s fucking Groundhog Day.

12/01/2018 - 10:52pm Weber.

Hey thanks ass…

Weber.

Hey thanks ass clown.

12/01/2018 - 9:38pm Agree.  Our coaches are all…

Agree.  Our coaches are all about their dogma.  The current dogma is fundamentally better than the last couple regimes. But like all dogmatic fanatics, changing on the fly is not a strength.

Meanwhile NW looks way less outclassed with way less talent. WTF

11/27/2018 - 8:41pm Great summary. Not going to…

Great summary. Not going to relitigate or re-autopsy this debacle. My take is that Michigan has its best coaching staff in  over 15 -20 years, but it’s still not as good as either of the Tressel-Meyer regimes. The fact that Meyer is a shitty human really doesn’t help. They exploited our team’s specific individual weaknesses, we did nothing of the sort.

Maybe next year.

11/25/2018 - 1:01pm His win pct was up there…

His win pct was up there just fine but what I was speaking to was his willingness to be creative and even (god forbid) take risks in game.  IMHO we have been saddled with dogmatic ideologues (Carr, RRod - I actually have no idea if hoke had an ideology) and Harbaugh seems to be the latest.  They all had varying ideologies and they are all loathe to adjust them.

11/25/2018 - 9:39am Personal opinion.  His press…

Personal opinion.  His press answers were all acceptable.  These press conferences are a worthless exercise and rarely interesting unless it’s Mike Leach perhaps, he’s actually funny.

His in-game answers were plainly ridiculous.  They didn’t just run there best plays but they schemed them to pick on exactly who they wanted to ruthlessly, which is actually what coaches are paid millions to do. I feel horrible for Brandon Watson especially.  But they also picked on and isolated Gil a bit too. They were precise and persistent with this.  I could not find any equivalent evidence of this from our offense and the defensive adjustments were indiscernible.

I would contend we have had exactly one big game-day coach in the modern era, Moeller.  And fuck Les Miles forever

11/24/2018 - 9:41pm I think your point about…

I think your point about getting that last game of their college career taste out their mouths is a good one.  We’ll see soon

11/24/2018 - 9:22pm Agree, but how many of them…

Agree, but how many of them pull a Christian McCafferey and sit out the bowl game?

11/24/2018 - 9:14pm I shouldn’t. But damn

I shouldn’t. But damn

11/24/2018 - 9:12pm The main question concerns…

The main question concerns whether guys whose draft stock is undeniably high and are virtually first round picks would or even should  play in the bowl game (as Christian McCafferey) But you do raise a big question whether or not some of them should rethink there readiness in the first place.  Unfortunately the coaching hardly put these guys in their best position to shine today.

11/24/2018 - 8:49pm Virtually all threads…

Virtually all threads following a shit show like today could be deemed pointless, but  the trend it highlights will likely grow as the playoff format continues to push all the other bowl games towards insignificance. The result being only players with something left to prove to pro scouts will participate.  So the real question is why should they play and if a lot of them don’t why should we care?

11/24/2018 - 8:42pm I don’t think his stock is…

I don’t think his (Shea) stock is high enough to go early. He needs more time but he also needs to get Harbaugh to agree to leave the Stone Age on offense. I hope they negotiate.

11/24/2018 - 8:37pm I’d say 3 but with them…

I’d say 3 but with them shiitting the bed like this today I could easily see 5.

11/24/2018 - 7:43pm As long as OSU doesn’t get…

As long as OSU doesn’t get in WFC?

11/24/2018 - 6:59pm Both things are true. …

Both things are true.  Harbaugh has made M better.  And he and his staff can’t hold a candle to Purdue Maryland or even Minnesota or Nebraska in getting a team ready to play OSU.

11/24/2018 - 6:06pm He also did not call one…

He also did not call one corner blitz or anything of the sort.  Perhaps as vanilla an effort as I’ve ever seen, especially given how poor the original plans were working.

11/24/2018 - 5:51pm It’s the pit of hell when…

It’s the pit of hell when your greatest joy in the game is watching their starting left guard get carted off the field in garbage time because their satanic duchebag coach couldn’t call for the victory formation in a game that was out of hand 10 minutes previous.

Fuck them. All and every one of them.

11/17/2018 - 9:41pm QB runs were beyond…

QB runs were beyond maddening.  Haven’t seen so many contain breakdowns since ND. And Ramsey is not a dynamic runner.  Serious regression there.  DB didn’t seem to have a spy much at all on passing downs.

11/09/2018 - 9:39pm The analysis and what my…

The analysis and what my lying eyes saw are a bit askew.  I think it would be interesting to go back and see how long it has been since PSU has put up numbers that small.

11/03/2018 - 9:13pm Who in CFB wants to play M…

Who in CFB wants to play M now including ND?

10/05/2018 - 10:26pm Have no idea about the…

Have no idea about the Italian coincidence but if you aren’t willing to say the screwing is intentional then my question is: are you actually watching the games? The bastards are shameless.

For instance: Anthony Thomas fumbles against Illinois (while being facemasked) and it is ruled down and no fumble.  The Big Ten issues a swift apology to Illinois. Michigan watches MSUs home guy freeze a clock that should have expired and not a freaking word (although some changes were quietly made regarding clock operators).  The ONeil targeting call against Joe Bolden vs MSU was actually used by other conferences around the country as a great example/ training piece on what wasn’t targeting! No apologies forthcoming. This isn’t even the tip of the tip of the iceberg, and gee whiz no one seems to feel remotely obligated to explain how a tailback can be tackled and simultaneously flagged for holding. Make no mistake, two things are true, officiating is shitty, and simultaneously those same geniuses are purposely screwing Michigan.  And Jim Delaney could simply not care less, and with that pay package, he never will.

09/29/2018 - 9:31pm Both are true. The big ten…

Both are true. The big ten officials are below whaleshit. Let’s not forget how they totally fucked up the  national championship game in favor of Alabama last year.  And they are beyond fucking biased against Michigan with the O’Neill and Capron crews competing with today’s ass clowns for top billing.

09/29/2018 - 9:20pm I don’t get why it takes at…

I don’t get why it takes at least 3 (successful) drives by the other team to wake up DB and the D.

Meanwhile you can not blame our coaches for the terminally incompetent BT refs.  I’d love for the mathlete to prove statistically what a biased fucking we get win or lose every week.

My favorite quote today from the fox announcer: “ Never in my football life have I seen that call, unbelievable. “ And yup it fucking was.  It will never end.

09/29/2018 - 9:13pm It’s all about the matchup. …

It’s all about the matchup.  Not sure who had Perry on this one from NW but this is one of less offensive beefs I’d have with the coaching

09/15/2018 - 9:46pm Just another very typical…

Just another very typical Michigan game where the refs just simply have to be the story.

09/09/2018 - 8:20pm Agree with all except for…

Agree with all except for the clear and demonstrable anti M bias. 2016 OSU indelibly proved it.  Every single Vegas line should include some factor that is directly proportional to the importance of the game for M.

09/03/2018 - 7:52pm Here’s another problem.  It…

Here’s another problem.  It’s well documented that all of Michigan’s wins last year were against losing teams. So WTF is anyone to take away from beating (presumably) WMU and SMU or even formerly relevant Nebraska? If they don’t beat Wisconsin then this season is likely going play out as another flat ass disgrace as should be any 8-5 Michigan team. BTW they won’t face any teams with higher average rated recruits (during Harbaugh’s tenure) until OSU.  Time to coach, coach.

09/03/2018 - 7:24pm Do you take so damn long…

Do you take so damn long to make calls with an OC?  Name one FFS.  Jimmy if it’s you then make up your mind way faster or get a real one.

Mgmt 101.  I know it well and watching this shit show pisses me off. Fix this.

09/03/2018 - 9:50am Sick of hearing about our…

Sick of hearing about our elite defense.  All of its “elite” efforts last year were against losing teams.  They haven’t shut down any winners.  They’re not as horrible as our boring moribund offense but they’re certainly not great.

09/03/2018 - 9:47am Excellent work once again…

Excellent work once again. Mopping up after the “suck” job that is the “fucking” state of our “damn” football program is tough duty but you’ve done it well.

Was that efficient?

09/03/2018 - 9:41am I’m sick of hearing about…

I’m sick of hearing about our elite defense.  It is not.  It’s stats last year were padded during the wins (7/8) against losing record teams.  They got blown out at PSU and folded late in the other big games.  Who that was above average have they shut down?  Nobody.

09/02/2018 - 12:56pm Offensive coordinator…

Offensive coordinator committee.

Is there any chance that poor clock management was a symptom of Michigan having a committee debating calls when one person should be making them.  Or does it just take Jim that much time to make a decision?

09/01/2018 - 11:50pm That is the value (I guess)…

That is the value (I guess) of actually watching the game.  It has been often said that "figures don't lie but liars figure".   Well it is probably the first refuge of losers to cite all of the statistical reasons that  the steamng pile of shit they just left on the national stage really wasn't so bad.  But it really was. And if JH is not humiliated to his core by that effort tonight then I'd say he's long gone.

09/01/2018 - 11:38pm Yup, and who is the OC? Oh…

Yup, and who is the OC? Oh that's right, last I heard it was a f-ing committee.  Well maybe if they slowed the game down!

09/01/2018 - 11:35pm I really believed I could…

I really believed I could handle a loss going into this game. I realize it is tough to win down there. But at some point it really is "how" you lose.  If Don Brown wasn't schooled like a grad assistant/intern in that first half then what was it I saw? If the player discipline breakdowns  such as CWin gifting ND touchdowns with a free set of downs with a blatantly late hit on a play the team had stopped instead of FG attempts wasn't a coaching reflection, then what is? Clock management, is that what that was we saw tonight?  Was that a team prepared to play?  What the hell is all those millions of dollars of coaching salaries supposed to buy you?

Horrible. Embarrassing, and the sad thing is, ND will likely turn out to be not very good this year.

01/01/2018 - 10:43pm So this is what it has come to?

Looking for the shitty year that bests feels like this shitty year and having lots of recent choices to pick from!

Do to the utter fecklessness on O this does seems like a Hoke/Borges year to me.  However, the tendency to simply gift games away seems somewhat unique to me. I am fearful that we simply have yet another shitty benchmark year, which itself will be used to measure another crappy year.

Sure, coach Harbs is probably not fairly judged harshly on "program direction" unless next year is a reprise of this  most recent dud.  But dang its all fair game after that.

12/01/2017 - 1:54pm Wiscy

Beats Brutus. Brutus was nowhere near as tough as they were and M had Peters for most of the game. I think OSUs offense is grossly overhyped and gets shut down. IMHO

11/28/2017 - 4:54pm Why can't an independent review be done?

Take the last 2 Michigan - OSU games, subject the entire game to a review of calls made and not made.  Add it up, and see if there is any bias.

Why can't Warde have this done? Hell if he did a kickstarter campaign to pay for it, the funds would probably show up in 10 minutes.

WTF?  Why is this so hard?

11/28/2017 - 4:46pm I believe you

The pitiful existence you must lead to have to troll this board after a win no less. What valuable time and space you must occupy with these priorities.  You are probably one of those westboro baptist types that protests at marine funerals.

Ass clown.

ps. my wife is a Buckeye and she thinks you suck

11/23/2017 - 12:41pm Pro Style offense should attract

pro style talent at QB and the receivers.  JT Barrett may indeed make history tomorrow, but he will not even be drafted.  Urban Meyer has those QB recruits chasing fools gold.  He makes a shit ton of money and if lucky his QB graduates to a nice job at a car dealer.  Pathetic.

Meanwhile, I hope harbs is not ignoring an actual coaching competency prob on his staff.

11/23/2017 - 10:45am Solid descriptions, but

how about some theories?  Are the offensive line schemes too complicated, simply poorly developed, or is the talent simply incapable?  Nature, nurture, coaching, what?

11/22/2017 - 11:19am We beat Sparty

There last year.

We got jobbed out of the OSU game at their place that was essentially won last year.

We beat PSU at their home under yr 1 harbs

Hell,  Big Ten officiating is just as horrific at home as it is on the road.  O"neil, Capron, et al are horrible wherever they lay their hat.

Coach up the talented kids, develop a QB and it all comes together.

11/22/2017 - 10:07am Now that summons

up hatred in its purest form.  Those bastard refs made a mockery of sport, the concept of competition, integrity, competence, you name it, at level never before seen.

11/22/2017 - 9:53am Rather be hungry

Than hateful. The lion isn’t pissed at the zebra he’s simply hungry. I hope those Wolverines are starving gong into Saturday even if one can find absolutely no useful function, nutritious or otherwise for a buckeye.

11/22/2017 - 9:46am Lot of words

That I already agree with. M is still reaping the leftovers of the disaster that was the Martin-Brandon regime. Losses will always suck but perspective is important.

11/20/2017 - 6:14am I'm sure you'd let it go

were you to be screwed like that after spending the entire 21st century in oblivian. Mich finally puts a better team on the field, plays a better game, mistakes and all, and an officiating crew made up of people from the State of Ohio Sports Hall of Fame decides to gift the game essentially to themselves.  And yes, the fact that those pricks could not save you from a total destruction by Clemson is a bit of shadenfreude.

Everyone knows OSU has had a better football program for a long long time.  They were even better most of the time back when M was springing all those upsets of Cooper, and not one of those wins could be attributed to the kind of gross screwing by officials, that happened last year.

So sure, you lose 15 of the 17 games played this century, finally win one, and have that one taken away.  I'm sure we'd see nothing but grace and dignity from you.  But then the fact that despite all this you have to troll this board, tells me otherwise.
