Braylon Edwards drops the ball again

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Expected nothing less from good ol Braylon.

His take on John O'Korn.

Nothing like current players being bashed by guys who are supposed to have their backs. Khalid Hill took issue with it.

Wtf approved his scholarship and transfer????????

I can't believe nobody has mentioned this, but he isn't just bashing O'Korn. He is implicitly bashing Harbaugh as well, with the "who approved his scholarship and transfer" shit. Braylon needs to go sit the fuck down for a while. Know your place.

O'Korn doesn't deserve this. He is a good kid, a team player, and loves Michigan. He attended the grave walk last year and took pictures with fans. Michigan men don't bash their own. We encourage each other.

Ripping a college guy on here is one thing...none of us have the platform BE does...publicly calling him out, w his message no doubt getting to 1000's of people is an asshole move.. Especially from alum.

...this is a bad one.

Maybe question how there isn't anyone better on scholarship, but when O'Korn came we had room and lots of questions at QB.

Just too bad O'Korn answered the question with a resounding "Hell No".

Has 3 major issues IMO:

1. Attention whore

2. Alcoholic

3. In his feelings over JH not having him around the team because he's a cancer and a hinderence.  He also ran his mouth about Keoka being the worst player in Michigan history to wear the number one.  The players heard, and know about it, and can't stand him.  Pretty sure JLew and Delano clap backed last year in person.  Oh well.

Braylon knows better, say it to the TV screen or think it (I've done both), but don't put that out into social media.  This kind of crap has no place among UM football alumni.

easy target for a lot of frustration and disappointment. The Oline and qb play go hand in hand. And when you have a young team that can't handle looping stunts and delayed blitzes or the running backs make the wrong choices on carrying out fakes and outlet routes instead of staying in to pass protect, you lose two starting quarterbacks and stuck with another who would rather preseve his safety before he gets his body caved in on a missed block.

Whether the Oline is young or not by experience or time together as a unit, the issue becomes a matter of confidence and responsibility for not blowing assignments becase doing so kills your quarterback and offensive leader. You just can't live with that and succeed regardless of who is coaching.

We reflect our displeasure with the guy trying to make things happen after he comes in cold and can't appreciate the issues he's facing. The seniors get to play their last game ever next week at Michigan Stadium. They deserve our support and respect no matter who is the starting quarterback. We live and die with them weekly. We'll do so next Saturday regardless of our own confidence level.

I made a date back in the summer to have next Saturday off so I could watch this game. So, I'll be watching and praying for a Michigan win.

we're gonna play together as a team. We're gonna believe in each other, we're not gonna criticize each other, we're not gonna talk about each other, we're gonna encourage each other. And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know, it's gonna be Michigan again, Michigan."

One reason is for situations exactly like today, where the two QBs above him have been injured.

What was the alternative?  Burning the D-Caff's redshirt, when he's not likely ready and holding on to a <1% chance of winning the B1G?  Malzone?

Don't dump on the best available guy for being the best of the remainders.

It wasn't like O'Korn lost us the game. He didn't win it but I don't see how anyone can blame him for losing it. You could blame lack luster effort on 1 punt return, a few lucky throws, key injuries but not really O'Korn.

8-3 with 1 starter returning on defense, a lot of youth on offense and 2 QB's out with injury. The next 2 years should more than make up for whatever happens this year.

I remember in 2004 before the State game. All my Sparty friends were talking so much shit about how we were gonna lose, even some Michigan fan friends of mine basically conceded we were gonna get smacked. Then Braylon Edwards happened. You know the days when our team would win games they werent supposed to because they had heart and werent soft. I miss those days and an old head like Braylon is simple tired of being embarrassed by this program. Now i agree that you shouldnt call out individual players but the fact we have to play a guy like Okorn as classy as he is shows how far the mighty has fallen

Love that dude.  And gotta say, loved that play with him coming out of the backfield on that pass.  Great call.  Wish we didn't have so few great calls like that.

Bring on osu, I hope our defense destroys Barrett.

GO BLUE!!
