Submitted by markusr2007 on

Here is the announcing crew for Michigan @ Wisconsin, as well as other games, tomorrow:

http://awfulannouncing.com/schedules/2017-week-12-college-football-anno…

Noon EST -  Michigan at Wisconsin (FOX):  Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, Jenny Taft
(Compass Media) Jesse Agler, Chad Brown

Gus & Joel:

Jenny Taft:

Jesse Agler:

Chad Brown, PAC-12 Analyst ?:

Gus and Joel are known quantities up in the booth. I liked their work during the OK State vs TCU game.

Big upgrade over Matt Millen and the Glen Masonry job at Maryland last Saturday.

Sparty vs. Maryland gets Tim Brando-ooh & Spencer Tillman this week, so:

can get carried away but generally makes every game interesting to watch.  Klatt is honest and spot on in most of observations, quickly becoming one of the better color guys in the business.

Guys, you know what? There's a website called Awful Announcing.

Check it out here: http://awfulannouncing.com/

No, I don't think all announcers are awful.

Tim Brando? Yes, awful.

Matt Millen doing color analysis? Yes, awful.

Bret Musberger? Terrible

But who cares, right? To each his/her own.

I'm just sharing what Awful Announcing recently posted.

As a Michigander, I can honestly say his Lions tenure has no bearing on my opinion that he sucks. He routinely misuses words, bags on players, and makes erroneous statements. If he was any good, would be be on BTN? Think about that for a moment. I admit to being entertained when he says things like, “this guy is going to be great at the next level.” Heh. Stay in school, kid.

I am a fan of Gus Johnson’s enthusiasm for calling football games. I’d rather have Johnson on the call than some boring announcer void of expressing excitement.

I like Gus too.  It's just that he sounds like he's going to give himself a hernia every time the QB drops back to pass.

Jenny Taft played lacrosse at Boston University. Her husband, Matt Gilroy, captained Boston University to the 2009 NCAA hockey championship and won the Hobey Baker Award that year. Her father won two NCAA hockey championships at Wisconsin and captained the 1976 USA Olympic hockey team.

Pardon my language but he is the worst. He goes crazy after every play and is yelling into mic. For every play it’s like a ohhhhhhhh (yelling) he carries the ball for 1 yrd.

But I think this is actually Fox's best crew for game calling. Gus is a fire-plug and gets so dang excited hiscalls are a good listen. Hopefully, Michigan can give him a lot of material to get excited about! Plus, College Game Day at Madison makes this game the super hyped game of the week and maybe even the game of the year to-date? Old school November B1G football ... the Meeeeechigan Wolverines versus the Wisonsin Badgers. Manball and we love it. Go Blue !

I've always found Gus to be hilarious.  However, I watched a game he was doing a couple weeks ago and for the first time ever, I started to get a little annoyed and wanted him to take it down a couple notches.

Feeling that way was either a one time fluke or maybe I'm turning a corner.  Some things can be funny for so long before they start to get annoying.

Listen to brandy and dierdorf.  Always give the O line being former M Oline guys.

Not Ufer but M homers no doubt. Dierdorf very critical too, if need be.
