Confirmed: The Peters era has begun

Harbaugh confirmed Peters is the new starting QB going forward. Probably doesn't need a new thread, neg me if you want.

My Sherlockian powers of deduction tell me that the only possible explanation for not playing with Peters... ahem, I mean for not playing him sooner, is that the Peter...s principal was in play, and that the appropriately named quarterback must have Les Miles'd Sarah Harbaugh!!!

I did speculate peters would start once. It was not just what Peters did, it’s what the entire team did when he came in. They all believe he is the starter, and that’s the difference.

but the QB position is clearly the most important spot on the team. We obviously looked completely different...and even though Rutgers is probably not the best measure, we resembled an actual offense that has the potential to be much more than we thought.

from a coaching perspective is whether Pep & JH can prepare him better and game plan differently with Peters as the starter. Peters will surely have ups and downs as a RS Fr starter. They can coach him thru those moments, but can the the offense be even more potent with deeper passes and tougher intermediate throws going forward? Not just better execution of the same plays but lethal seam routes and other timing plays.

And we immediately set ourselves up with unrealistic expectations.

I'm as glad as anyone that he looked good, but this was Rutgers. He's a freshman. He'll struggle at times. Let's stay away from the ledge when that happens.

And he is off to a good start. But I caution myself that Minnesota will have game film of him to study, unlike Rutgers. Next week should be an interesting test for him. But color me happy right now.

I like what Peters did. He looked pretty good - not perfect, but pretty good.

But what I really like was the 334 yards of rushing and 4 TDs, with two guys over 100 yards. Peters was good enough that Rutgers had to respect the pass, and UM made it pay on the ground.

Will be very interested to see the UFR. Until then, a "Well done" to Mr. Peters and the offense.

One thing I love about peters skill set is him throwing the ball at a variety of velocity, trajectory, and angles. Even though it was against Rutgers, I think Peters forces the opposing defense to take our passing game seriously, which in turn helps out the run game. Positive performance to build off of going forward

Chris Balas said that he had inside information that Peters was shit and McCaffery was way better. Chris Balas said: "Brandon Peters will never see the field as a starter for Michigan". Right, Rivals just stinks from a knowledge basis.
