Sometimes it just takes time and then it clicks. Keep plays he is comfortable with and let hm make the plays. Looked pretty good to me.

My Sherlockian powers of deduction tell me that the only possible explanation for not playing with Peters... ahem, I mean for not playing him sooner, is that the Peter...s principal was in play, and that the appropriately named quarterback must have Les Miles'd Sarah Harbaugh!!!

1. He's a RS Frosh. They do that.
2. The little I saw of the game I saw him making his progressions quite a bit.

I couldn't tell if he was locked on receivers or on a single side. But in either case, he does need to look off safeties more, which hopefully will come.

but the QB position is clearly the most important spot on the team. We obviously looked completely different...and even though Rutgers is probably not the best measure, we resembled an actual offense that has the potential to be much more than we thought.

Hey man they beat Purdue and Illinois so it's not like they're the worst team in the conference anymore!

Now that they have a guy that can throw the football accurately they can actually run what resembles a functional offense.
Feels good

If he can back those safety's away from 8 yards off the LOS, I'm happy.
Then we can run the ball.
Which will help his passing game.
It's a virtuous cycle.

And we immediately set ourselves up with unrealistic expectations.
I'm as glad as anyone that he looked good, but this was Rutgers. He's a freshman. He'll struggle at times. Let's stay away from the ledge when that happens.

OK, but we had a 5th year senior who struggled at times - lots. As did the guy before him. We're used to it. I think we'll be ok.

about film on Peters. M ran a very vanilla set of plays for him today. Only thing that they will see is the he made his throws better than O'Korn.

You did not need to watch 6 hours of film to know what he was going to do.
I knew what he was going to do. It was not based on surprise or deception.

I like what Peters did. He looked pretty good - not perfect, but pretty good.
But what I really like was the 334 yards of rushing and 4 TDs, with two guys over 100 yards. Peters was good enough that Rutgers had to respect the pass, and UM made it pay on the ground.
Will be very interested to see the UFR. Until then, a "Well done" to Mr. Peters and the offense.
