Does anyone wonder why Stafford is even playing in this game? It would seem that giving Rudock a chance to get some playing time would be the smart thing to do. This game is meaningless. It's against a team playing their backup QB. It hurts the draft position to win this game. Then there is the whole Stafford possibly getting injured issue...and when the Lions are paying him top dollar, you would think they would want to protect their investment...ya know, kinda like what GB is doing.
I am typically not a conspiracy-theorist, but I do think that the NFL is fixed...and I believe the Ford Family is on the wrong side of the leverage. Nothing else can explain the calls that have gone against the Lions time after time for years. The only decent thing to do in that situation is to sell the team so that the fans can watch a team that does not have the powers that be working against them.
Caldwell is shown on the sideline multiple times per game with his mouth closed...eyes open...(deer in headlights, etc.) What exactly is he doing? To me, that is not a head coach. He might get paid like a head coach, but he does not have the duties of one.
I think we are being generous by calling him a head coach. Does he call any plays? Does he actually talk into his headset during the game? The absolute only reason he has a coaching position is because of Peyton Manning. There is no other reason. And for the Ford Family to extend him this year just shows how clueless they really are. Caldwell doesn't do anything. He stands on the sideline not saying a word until the coordinators press a button and speak into his headphones informing him to call a timeout.
It looks like the U.S. has improved their negotiation skills.
Michael Peter Fay (born May 30, 1975), better known simply as Michael Fay, is a United States citizen who was the subject of international attention in 1994 when he was sentenced to six strokes of the cane in Singapore for theft and vandalism at age 18. Although caning is a routine court sentence in Singapore, its use caused controversy in the United States, and Fay's case was believed to be the first caning involving an American citizen.[1] The number of cane strokes in Fay's sentence was ultimately reduced from six to four after United States officials requested leniency.
Aren't all 3 of the players freshman? I don't know the depth of UCLA, but if they get suspended they will probably just be changing their view of the court from the bench to the couch. Hmm from the bench to the couch, that sounds like a dramatic reality tv segment.
It would seem the next logical step the NCAA would take is to begin to partner with memorabilia dealers. They could then give stipends to players who sign memorabilia. That would also take some heat off the NCAA for not properly compensating players. I'm not sure how big the memorabilia market is, but it probably is nothing compared to how much they make off of tv contracts...so in their eyes it would be a great way to pro-actively diffuse the argument for players to get paid...although I guess the NCAA doesn't really need to have the "approval" of anyone to do what they want.
If I had the money I would buy it, but I would negotiate to make sure that everyone on the offensive line carried me to and from the stadium in a chair with a sceptre.

that is the only reason i do
This what the Lions want you to think. It is not over yet. They are going to get the ball back. And win this. and then lose next week. Mark it
The Lions probably think that they are really just protecting their investment by running the ball instead of throwing.

Make them throw the footballs like a QB.

LOL The Lions will now win to secure the last draft spot out of the playoffs. The Lions love living on the brink.

The Lions lose...to save us from losing a meaningful game later!

That's how the Lions get their wins.
Literally any other team would've beat us today! YES! That's progress right?
He's the only coach who could fill Mangino's shoes...literally. He could.
Why should your opinion of my opinion be viewed as fact?
edit: sorry, I forgot you have more points than me /s

a season that never got started
so does that mean we could be in the top 10 next week?
Good idea
Did you forget last year? We were right in the discussion for most of the season...and would have been in the playoff if we beat OSU.
Anyone hear the dig towards Michigan in reference to OSU and Wisconsin still having to play Michigan? Hope our team heard that.
I have a feeling UCLA will be playing a game in China every year now for a while...

Take one with them smiling, and then one with them not smiling.

In my opinion, that is a major error on Hoke's part. A coach should want to know what is going on even if he isn't making the playcalls.
that's game
China is negotiating the rights to all 3 players.
