5:30am twitter drop of the roster.(no height/weights) Guess the cable subscribers, I mean Rutgers, will be happy now??
No depth chart as per usual.

This is also the depth chart - just add about 70-85 "OR"s to it.
You're welcome, Coach McElwain.

That would be the most troll job ever . . . list each position, and then for each position just list the entire roster with 85+ ORs in it.
Anybody could play any position, just like they did it in Harbaugh's back yard when he was a kid.
Why make it complicated?

Jordan Anthony and Ambry Thomas are both #1 on the defensive side of the ball. I am assuming one of them will be red shirting. Which one will be red shirting?

Does sharing the same number on defense mean one CANT play all year? Or just that they can't be on the field at the same time?
August 30th, 2017 at 7:58 AM ^
Just can't be on the field at the same time
August 30th, 2017 at 8:32 AM ^
They cant both wear the same number on the field at the same time. That's it. There's no rule against one of them changing their number, even during a game. As long as there is no "intent to deceive".

Ambry Thomas was wearing #1 in spring, however I think he has changed back to #13 for the fall and perhaps this is just an oversight on the roster revealed today. All the fall camp photos and videos show Thomas in the #13

the roster.
So here is the real question: What did JH do first this morning? Tweet out the roster? Or finish his glass of whole milk?
August 30th, 2017 at 7:44 AM ^
Probably changed a diaper.

He was finishing lunch.

Google confirms this. I don't recall, but apparently he commited as a PWO last November.

Nice try, Jim!

Hey, RutgersBro, whoever plays will play and be of football-playing size.
August 30th, 2017 at 9:02 AM ^
There is useful strategic information to be gleaned from the heights and weights of players? You may have been reading NJ.com for far too long, my friend.
MEanwhile, NJ.com files another FOIA request to discover the status of its previous FOIA requests.

No MGoBlue.com update yet. I'm sure WD will keep us posted.

No wonder Rutgers' fans (all three of them) are upset. I counted 11 players from Jersey and I might have missed someone.

A bunch of slow guys

Nate Schoenle changed his number to 81. It's better than 35, but I was hoping for another single digit number to match the rest of the young receivers. 5 would've been the only option, but Kurt Taylor took it.
Crawford - 1
Martin - 2
Collins - 4
Black - 7
DPJ - 9
August 30th, 2017 at 6:52 PM ^
Maybe I am just old-school, but I prefer receivers (and RBs) not to wear single digit numbers. They are a slight bit eaaier for the opponent to identify personnel and personnel packages
I've heard some coaches say they don't allow players to get single-digit numbers, cuz the kids argue and pout over them.

She can finally make her top 10, but she'll need to make roster cuts, can't wait for the article...Haha GoBlue!

Remember how pissed everyone was when RRod gave the #1 jersey to a DB?
August 30th, 2017 at 11:34 AM ^
The #1 is worn by three separate guys.
August 30th, 2017 at 3:37 PM ^
Four guys wear 3, two are arguably the most important on offense (Speight) and defense (Gary). The other two will also see the field: Nordin and Robbins.

Would have been nice to list eligibility next to each name

Just for that extra Florida dig.

Wow! Why did he reveal so much? Now Rutgers might beat us...
