but if you had a deal where you paid the university hundreds of millions of dollars I'd bet you could put your stick pic avatar all over things too.

For me it was when we went from "hey look there's a little Jumpman logo on the jersey" to "sweet mother of God the Jumpman logo on the back of that shirt is so huge it blots out the sun"

But that's just me.

with you Yo_Blue, I don't know when this switch happened.  There was a small contingency that wanted the "basketball guy" off their lawn, but it seemed there overwhelming praise for the switch to Nike and Jumpman.  Now all of the sudden everybody hates everything, Harbaugh's game shirt is ugly, the fit is bad, the logo is too big, white pants are terrible, etc. etc.   Really weird.

And I dont have any issue with Nike whatsoever in promoting their brand.  It's just for me it's too damn big.  That's simple personal preference - I'm sure there are people out there (insane people I might add) but people who think it shoud be bigger.

I'm not an anti-jumpman guy.  I'm an anti HUGE jumpman guy.  FWIW I thought these were stupid too "hey look I'M WEARING POLO EVERYBODY.  LOOK AT MY HUGE PONY".  To me the enoromous jumpman is similar.

Do I begrudge Nike for doing it?  Nope - they paid for the priviledge.   But I dont' have to like it.

I wish they had a higher quality material for this shirt. Once I start wearing these shirts regularly they wear down so fast. The colors fade, the printing wears, and the shirt streches out.

I get that its the student shirt and they are trying to keep the prices low, but at least offer a higher quality option.

Rant over.

Really don't like Giant Jumpman. This is different than almost all of their other gear - and this is the shirt that is everywhere.

Thanks OP. Not going to shoot the messenger, but not liking these.

A year to skip the season shirt. That's fine since I've got about 12 others. Also, can we get blue shirts back at least once every few years? When was the last time, 2005?

Obviously students are already allowed to choose what they wear to the game, the season shirt just helps steer them. But even if you hypothetically limited all of them to wear only season shirts, you're just going to get a mix of blue and maize on the "blue" years" then. That's not better. And what about a freshman coming in on a blue shirt year?

The lack of one main school color in the season shirt rotation is silly, especially when the argument is "the student section wouldn't be as yellow". Twenty years ago, nobody cared if the student section was color coordinated, yet nowadays everyone wants to be Penn State.

I liked it better when they listed the program's accomplishments, instead of just putting the schedule on it.  Any program can do that, but only we can claim to be #1 all-time in wins.

I'm not one of the people that complains about the "basketball player on football uniforms" thing. It's just a logo after all, and a logo of a very famous brand at that. But the huge Jumpman as the background of the football schedule that otherwise does not mention the word football on that side of the shirt is a bit silly.

Did you know that Michigan has a deal with Nike to have Jumpman-branded gear?  You know, Jumpman, the silhouette of Michael Jordan from the 90s?  The athletic department isn't sure that you know so they want you to know.  So do you know?  Jumpman!

I like the jumpman logo behind the schedule.  *shrug* It's not like there's not a huge block M on the front where it should be.  The jumpman thing is a big deal.  Everyone understood that when the deal was announced and yet, so many seem to have forgotten.  They've even changed some their social media names/bios to reference Jordan (twitter, snapchat).  Of course they're going to advertise it.  Again, it's a big deal.

What the hell, Nike?  That looks horrible in every way except that it is a Michigan shirt.

Our rival schools continuously have better-designed shirts that aren't so geared to one specific season.  I know it feels gross, but search for the 2017 buckeyes shirt.  I know -- it's OSU -- but at least Nike put some serious effort into the design / did a fan vote.

Ours is just generic and blah.

Love the Block M with the wings hidden in it.  Also love the jumpman on the back.  It is not the dominant feature of the back of the shirt and it does not block any of the schedule, just adds a little more to it.  Now if they can make these in drifit so that they dont shrink weird or fade that would be perfect.

It seems like everything with this shirt is outsized. The block M (good look), the jump man on the back (not such a good look), and the price (ridiculous)...

I have always had the unpopular opinion that jumpman branding was garbage. I'm glad others are starting to see that as well. Maybe the selection of non-jumpman branded stuff will increase.

Front is great now that I've thought about it for a while (I just wish the M was slightly smaller and 2017 Michigan Football was bigger) Back is not as good for the big Jumpman prescence (as most people said). I've been buying each season tee since 2010 and I can say it is not my favorite, but it isn't too bad (The overbranding of Air Jordan being the main reason behind me thinking it isn't that good). I would like to point out that sometimes new clothing and equipment looks better and makes more sesne wehn you see it in person or on the field (Best example of this were the first night game alternates, they looked horrible when they were announced, but were much better on the field). So when I buy mine (I'm still gonna buy it since I collect them), I may like it more than I do now.
