He was smart to announce his decision on Twitter. He gets really inaccurate when he has to use anything more than 140 characters. :-D

Actual reaction from Hill and Long...

Yeah because Mo Hurst and Rashan Gary won't let there be any passes to defend.

I find myself unsure as to whether I'm happy or sad that he's coming back.

Is Zeke Elliott coming back?
The answer appears to be no.
You are happy.

Barrett's awful.
January 4th, 2017 at 4:46 PM ^
The dude is responsible for 100 tds, 3 total losses in his career, and a 3-0 record against Michigan. The dude has owned us, lets not act like he's Rutger's qb.

is due to the supporting cast.
Edit: His QBR breaks the top fifity, but barely: http://www.espn.com/ncf/qbr
Also, in the 2016 game, he completed 15/32 passes, with an interception and only one TD in regulation. Hardly "owning".

I did not know the Japan league had a draft.
January 4th, 2017 at 4:43 PM ^
Wellll-come Baa-ack.The defense against Barrett is simple: scrape on the zone-read or let him dance in the pocket until one or more of our defenders pound him into the turf. Letting him throw is optional.

Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a bazooka.
January 4th, 2017 at 4:45 PM ^
He has no future as a QB, in college or in the NFL.

if he fell out of a fuckin boat
January 4th, 2017 at 4:44 PM ^
can't wait for him to end his regular season next year on a big fat "L"
January 4th, 2017 at 4:44 PM ^
Damn!
Nah, just playin'. Barrett can't hit the broad side of a barn. He won't learn how to do that in spring and fall camp. Don Brown's defense will shut that noise down at home next fall.

Immediate reaction on the Twitters from the Ohio people was "that's nice - where should he play?" Not a universal round of excitement by any means to this news and a LOT of people are hoping he gets moved, a-la Braxton Miller, to WR to make room for Joe Burrow.
January 4th, 2017 at 5:01 PM ^
The sad thing is, him moving to WR and making an impact is as likely as Shane Morris doing the same. The guy is a decent athlete but nowhere near the level of the other guys they have.
January 4th, 2017 at 5:14 PM ^
Miller was athletic enough to play WR. I don't think Barrett can do that.
January 4th, 2017 at 5:45 PM ^
I was reading those accounts a little bit ago - there was some stuff that made me laugh actually, including a few people who actually predicted his draft round as "7th at best", and that was the OSU fanbase. I imagine much of this is bitterness in the aftermath of the Buckeyes deciding not to attend the Fiesta Bowl (which was rude, quite honestly). The bloggers and beat writers were much more upbeat about it, as one might expect.
January 4th, 2017 at 4:59 PM ^
Damn. He's probably going to be made into some amazing receiver now.
