Did he really have any other choice ?? Unless he was going to transfer, I don't see him getting drafted

He was smart to announce his decision on Twitter. He gets really inaccurate when he has to use anything more than 140 characters. :-D

I'd call that owning us. Just like I'd say Urban owns us despite three of the games being incredibly close. Does it annoy the piss out of me? Yes. But I'd be much happier going into the Game next year with a first year qb who's a redshirt freshman rather then a 5th year senior who's been on just about every big stage in his career.

Wellll-come Baa-ack.The defense against Barrett is simple: scrape on the zone-read or let him dance in the pocket until one or more of our defenders pound him into the turf.  Letting him throw is optional.

Damn!

Nah, just playin'. Barrett can't hit the broad side of a barn. He won't learn how to do that in spring and fall camp. Don Brown's defense will shut that noise down at home next fall.

Immediate reaction on the Twitters from the Ohio people was "that's nice - where should he play?"  Not a universal round of excitement by any means to this news and a LOT of people are hoping he gets moved, a-la Braxton Miller, to WR to make room for Joe Burrow.

I was reading those accounts a little bit ago - there was some stuff that made me laugh actually, including a few people who actually predicted his draft round as "7th at best", and that was the OSU fanbase. I imagine much of this is bitterness in the aftermath of the Buckeyes deciding not to attend the Fiesta Bowl (which was rude, quite honestly). The bloggers and beat writers were much more upbeat about it, as one might expect.
