One thing this game reinforces is how overrated home field is in college football. Statistically, it isn't remotely as significant as it is in college basketball. People have been freaking out about the road games U-M has to play, but even Bama and OSU don't play better at home than they do on the road. The last two losses for both were at home.

Wiscy isn't that good. They are on a hot streak and playing consistent. We all know they eventually and sooner than later will shit the bed. Hopefully it's against Michigan. They don't have the talent on offense to beat Michigan's defense. Nope, not going to happen. Defense is descent but yadi yadi to that too. Badgers suck the fat one.

MSU is clearly not as good without Cook, and their D has some weaknesses to exploit. But...two bad mistakes gave Wisky 14 points.

And Wisky played very well...but I still don't think they're as good as wins over LSU and MSU might indicate. I think they will struggle against the gobs and gobs of elite talent we have at skill positions

Wisconsin's pretty good, especially defensively. MSU needs QB. Maybe they have a Hornibrook on their roster, but considering they stuck with O'Connor, I'm guessing their backups are atrocious.

Notre Dame lost to Texas and is struggling with Duke. My guess is ND is a tire fire and MSU is just slightly above said tire fire. Didn't Whisky just struggle to beat a cusp D1 team last week?

All I ask is the boys in Maize and Blue never to come out underestimating their opponent as they did against Colorado.

next week will likely determine our road to indy aside from the result of The Game. If we win, we may see them again I'm indy. Iowa not looking great the passed few weeks. msu is very vulnerable. UW's only threat might actually be UNL.

But they have Corley!!

On the positive side, I think Wisconsin is fairly good. If our run D stays strong we'll be good, though hornytoadster (or whoever their QB is) looked really accurate.

...which is another way of saying that Wisconsin won by that margin, in large part, because of MSU mistakes. A win is still a win but it's not like they went in there are dominated all facets of the game.

So I'm not sure Wisconsin looks a whole lot different to me than they did last week: a good Big Ten West team (relatively speaking) that we play at home.

MSU looks like a 7/8-win team right now.

I thought the 2014 season was canceled. It was, right? I can't seem to remember :P

In all seriousness, that ND game sort of illustrates the point I was making, as the final score was more a reflection of our incompetence than ND being amazing. That's what I saw in this game too: a good-but-not-great Wisconsin team beating an MSU team that wasn't doing itself any favors.

I think they're both good. With the MSU dominance over us the last decade I wouldn't get too excited on how good or bad they look until they play Michigan.

MSU moved up in rankings based on beating a ND team that now has 3 losses, and whose "best loss" was to a Texas squad that got beat by a Cal team that nobody thinks is that strong. The Badgers shot up in the rankings based on beating LSU which clearly has major issues. This is why you shouldn't have rankings prior to mid-October.

So my post was deleted for saying we will be more than ready for lil bro after last years debacle. And for saying that we will have no problem with Wisconsin. Wtf?

Unfortunately, it's seems that most media pundits want to discount our wins as PSU not good, we "struggled" with Colorado who is "not good" according to the media, and I feel that next week we'll win and the storyline will continue with "UW not as good as thought" since MSU/LSU are trending down.
