it happens eventually.
Conley and Kobe never got suspended from the NBA for gambling...

Please tell me you are joking.

I just hope all the lower level employees are seeing somewhat of a raise as well.

I not surprised or troubled that players are getting these contracts. I'm shocked that Mike friggin' Conley got this contract. Sinking that much in a mediocre player is poor roster management even if the cap is blowing up. They're treating him like a franchise player when he is most certainly not. Someone doesn't know how to G.M. very well.

If he's not a household name, then I don't have to know much about the NBA to know that the Grizzlies overpaid for this guy.

But that's me.

On a side note (which may get me negged), I actually like Conley. He's always seemed like a classy guy to me.

cash in then the money be kept by billionaire owners. The NBA is insanely lucrative right now.

want the players to make the money or why is the NBA lucrative?
I want the players to make their fair share.
The NBA is lucrative from a marketing aspect because of how many recognizable stars there are.

This is what it looks like when a league actually compensates its athletes what they're worth in terms of value. You NFL fans may be unfamilliar with the concept.
Therefore, even NBA bench players are signing more lucrative contracts than, say, Andrew Luck.

If that's what he's paid, he's worth it by default.
Also, the fact that more people in the world play basketball than american football, along with each team having 15 spots, means that an nba player should make more by default. So I agree w/ your second point.
And one of many
...because it irritates you to see the best in the world get compesated like it?
Do you happen to watch baseball?
