NCAA says Bret Bielema can't crash Michigan's spring practice
This is stinkin hilarious. Because they are college coaches (high school coaches are OK) and this is a quiet period, Bielema, Butch Jones, and Mike Dantomino can't attend Michigan's practice on Friday.

Kinda like Tom Joad, "Where there is disrespekt, I'll be there."
That's pretty funny. I remember I watched it for at least a season or so. I probably remember it being better than it actually was.
I think the premise is really interesting, though.
How is going to Michigan's practice going to help any other program? It seems like it would just make this practice a bigger "event" then it already is, and furtherpromote Michigan.
This was my favorite response, from an Arkansas fan, who was responding to someone who made a dig at Bielema:
@JasonKiessel @BretBielema why do u think coach b tweets this stuff? TO GET UNDER UM FANS SKIN! ur just too stupid to realize it. #dumbass

The reality here is that Bret - if he saw this tweet - probably thought "under the skin?" and then "Mmmmmm......injection marinades". The conclusion is the same, of course - he likely got right into his car and drove to the nearest Golden Corral, except now specifically in the mood for turkey or beef of some variety.
Now what are the vendors at IMG going to do with all those hot dogs?

Is there any precedence for coaches attending the practice of another NCAA team? Just curious if this never allowed or the NCAA just felt extra dick-ish today.

What if we built some sort of cage that we could put visiting coaches in?

This has to be the NCAA setting up the new 'Harbaugh Rule' to outlaw spring practice trips. It makes zero sense otherwise... So Emmert says the trip is perfectly within the rules, but then turns around and says other coaches can't go to IMG to watch a college team practice that is open to the public. Essentially, the trip is legal, but a coach traveling to a high school is illegal. So, since the entire coaching staff traveled to a high school, is the trip legal? Sometimes, the NCAA just can't stay out of its own way...

Saban's 'bump rule' coming into play... Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing a bunch of college coaches attending thinking they'd see something.
I do really hope, though, that the bleachers are filled with Floriduh HS coaches, either with thier kids, or not. Turns it into another coaching clinic, which can translate to coaches talking about what they learned from Harbaugh when their own season opens up.
Let Bret and Mork be on the field with Harbaugh. Keep your enemies close.
NCAA knocked him out....
is funny as fuck.
Might even be funnier than fuck.
But you guys sure make me laugh.
Doubt they'll be able to keep them from getting in. Dantonio is an expert at hiding in the weeds. He can crawl onto the field itself and you wouldn't even know he was there. Bert, from looking at him something in my gut tells me that he has some kind of extaordinary burrowing ability. I can see him popping up like the gopher in Caddyshack.
You are right, Alabama didn't know they were there either.
still amazes me he left Wisconsin for Arkansas. Recruiting against the SEC v.s living in a state known for there cheese...seems like an easy pick for him
Maybe they should just go to Tennessee and molest some coeds instead.
The NCAA seems to be OK with that.
Suck on THAT, Bert!
I imagine he is laying in bed wearing his tighty whities scarfing a case of donuts down while crying uncontrollaby after Ncaa wouldnt allow him to go...
the doughnuts part and leave the bed/tighty whities part to you. Why'd you add that part anyway?
Game, set and match - HARBAUGH!!!
I continue to not understand the NCAA one iota.

Too bad. Was looking forward to the gifs and memes from Bert Bileman and Marcus d'Artagnan sitting in the stands.
