I'm amazed he lasted this long.  Miami has been mediocre or worse now for, what, almost a decade?  He's basically been a shade over .500 for most of his tenure, never in contention in the ACC, and hasn't really recruited all that well, which is stupidly simply at Miami.

head coach. They could take Jim Caldwell right now.

Does Miami have the budget to bring in a big name coach? I'm skeptical they will make an offer big enough to lure someone like RR. More likely they go after someone like Fuentes.

I read today that they can't come close to South Carolina money and, in a discussion of Herman, that they wouldn't be much of an upgrade on Houston money.

They have the facilities and the budget of a high mid-major or P5 bottom feeder with the expectations of a top-15 program.  It's honestly a horrible job.

Ever mentions that Miami isn't the Miami of Schnellenberger, Johnson, Erickson because they can't cherry pick their schedule anymore and have to play twice as many good programs as they used to including having to go on the road. Burn that whole program down wouldn't care

This is how the 75,000 seat Sun Life Stadium looked last Saturday, five minutes before kick off. This game featured the a 4-2 Miami team versus a #6 ranked 6-0 Clemson team, so I would imagine this will probably be the best attended home game for Miami. Miami vs. Clemson

If Michigan played in Toledo, UM wouldn't have the attendance records it's had for the past 30 years.  Put a stadium in Coral Gables and hire a good coach and Miami would draw 60-70k every game.

I'm surprised how many ppl on this board are not aware of the recruiting advantages and passionate fan base Miami has locally.  A Dade high school all-star county team would crush an all-decade all-state team from MIchigan.  And all of those kids grow up Hurricane fans.

and still in the heart of it's fan base. There's nothing comparable for Michigan, maybe Novi/Northville.

A stadium on campus would be very expensive to build. Land is scarce. The estimates are way up in nine figures. We spent $226 million just to renovate. Where does a relatively small private school get that kind of money?

People were worried about Golden bailing on Miami after the big recruiting violation story broke?  Supposedly Golden wasn't told about it before he was hired... Ahh, those were good times.
