Moncrief Granted Release to Michigan
Just received a text from Auburn transfer Derrick Moncrief ( @hotboy_shoemane ): "Got the release to #Michigan"
I'm guessing the fact that he went and sent a text to Sam Webb about it means there's a pretty good chance.

Good job Malzahn. Even if he doesn't ultimately come here this is the right move for the kid.
Thank you.
Yep, great job. Make yourself look like an ass, and then give him what he wants anyway.
googling this revealed pretty much only the Michigan blogosphere had picked up on it at this point. He made it a complete non-story by quelching the embers before it hit national news.
That's precisely what I was trying to say actually
This might not have been a national story, but it was definitely an SEC story. I live in Jacksonville, FL and this was the first story that I heard on sports talk radio when I got in the car this afternoon. The primary focus was on Michigan's satellite camps. FWIW, one host was in favor of them (competition) the other host was not (too one sided, SEC coaches would never camp in Michigan looking for players).
Anyway, it looks like Malzahn came to his senses. He would look REALLY bad if he made a student athlete's career hinge on pettiness.
"He made it a complete non-story by quelching the embers before it hit national news."He could have made it a bigger non-story by not telling him "anywhere but Michigan" in the first place.
Make yourself look like an ass, and then give him what he wants anyway.
I do that with my kids all the time.
Even if Malzahn's reasons for initially blocking the transfer were dubious at best, it's good to see that he is doing the right thing now by allowing it.
So here is a gif of Gus, just 'cuz.
I am on the college football subreddit, r/cfb, and it was the top story on there for awhile and there are over 126,000 people subscribed to that subreddit.
What link made of russian characters?
6"3, 225 CB? Wow
Tommy Hendricks 2.0?
I would assume he would be a safety considering he was a safety coming out of high school, a safety in JUCO and a safety while at Auburn. The big thing in his wanting to transfer is the fact that in the new defense at Auburn they were asking him to bulk up and move to a more linebacker role and that wasn't even going to guaruntee him the playing time that he wanted
at Michigan.
Sounds like Michigan is the place he wants to be and that is awesome! I like that Harbaugh is generating a lot of depth that is at least somewhat proven. This way we aren't relying on an unproven freshman to come in and perform right away.
at the college level.
Really hope the whole story on this comes out. Why the change?
I'd assume that it was smart politicking by Malzahn as soon as he saw the story got out to the Michigan blogs. Possibly worried of it becoming national news?
Haven't heard about Sporting News since they outlawed magazines and newspapers, leaving us with only blogs to read.

This is a good thing. It can be tough to accept, because we all love the team, but it was a broken mess of a thing. Break it all down, then build it back up.
Harbaugh.
I LOVE Harbaugh's snese of urgency.
That was one of my biggest gripes with Hoke . . . there was no sense of urgency. Everything seemed so complacent while the ship was sinking, as if he felt it didn't matter, he was secure no matter what and could fiddle around for a while.
Harbaugh appears to be under no similar illusions. He gets that there is a small window of opportunity to get critical mass and get this thing rolling again . . . and he's going to charge through it.
Your typo made me think: "Harbaugh even SNEEZES urgency!"
in Six seasons we will be rooting for Brady again?! I dont like the ending.

And the luckiest fumble recovery rate in college football.
