I am here to get an award. I am not here to talk about a blog or emails. It's an award I say. It's a celebration of my service to the greater good of the common man. Do you understand I am getting an award. Well it's an award for our athletic department. Now get the fuck out of my way I have important shit to do for my fans.

I give the writer a lot of credit, it really pissed off Dave Brandon that he asked him about this at an awards ceremony that he was getting an award at. That's probably how he got such a nasty response.

You know, I had a lot of problems with Brandon coming into this year ("No! BostonWolverine! Really? I completely disagree!" I hear you...).

But even if I didn't, the way that he has absolutely botched every single media interaction in the last 2 months is enough for me to want him out the door.

Honestly, more than anything, it's pure hubris. He's a shitty athletic director, and he was a shitty CEO.

But really, above everything else, he's just a son of a bitch.

David Brandon soooo wants this to go away.  He is using a typical technique: when he hears something he doesn't want to hear, he belittles the source.  At this point, the only question is whether he will collect his golden parachute or not.  I really hope ESPN hammers Michigan with FOIA requests and it turns out that he has erased a bunch of emails he was required by law to keep.

I would love to see David Brandon shuffle away from Michigan with his head down.  He is in severe need of a large dose of humility.

"If I don't see something, then it doesn't exist." It's a form of solipsism.

He's been surrounded by corporate brown-nosers and asskissers for so long that he's lost the ability to deal with criticism like an adult.

Assuming he ever had that ability in the first place, that is.

This guy is such an unbelievable asshole. Almost want to feel bad for him because the pressure seems to really be getting to him. Then he goes and opens his mouth and all my sympathy dries right the hell up.

I want can't wait to hear the stories of DB after he leaves Michigan similar to when a coach gets fired or when a "bad guy" player (i.e. percy harvin) gets traded. I am sure some of the supporters will change their tune and dish out some good stuff.

Brian may have to start a Main Page series: "Douchey DB Story of the Week"

That sounds like something he would say.

When Brandon was the CEO of Valassis in the 90's he said the the internet was just a fad.
