11/18/2014 - 11:33am Especially this part...

The inevitable final act in this epically disastrous season should come in two weeks, when Hoke is fired. The only thing that could be worse would be keeping him.

11/17/2014 - 7:31pm But...

That was because Harbaugh broke his arm against Sparty. Before the injury, we were 3-1 and had beaten #1 Miami in the season opener.

11/17/2014 - 7:15pm 0:45

Steve Everitt sighting on the sidelines.

11/17/2014 - 6:30pm We forgot about Randy Edsall

Randy Edsall says Michigan's football crowds are big but not loud

11/17/2014 - 6:12pm Josh McDaniels could be a good hire, but

I hope they hire Schiano. Don't wanna hear his name even mentioned for the Michigan job.

11/17/2014 - 4:55pm If anyone is interested

Here's the DDA Board Presentation, which was done before the groundbreaking. It has lots of renders and info.

11/17/2014 - 4:46pm Logo is not permanent

The roof will be LED-lit and can change colors and display images.

11/17/2014 - 4:29pm Here's an interesting read

Here's an interesting read before he got the Eagles job...

11/17/2014 - 4:16pm There are probably certain

There are probably certain aspects of the college game that Kelly misses now that he’s 11 games into his NFL career. But recruiting is not one of them.

Kelly was asked about how he, personally, is holding up going into the bye. And he made it clear that he prefers the NFL calendar to the college calendar.

"My schedule, the day the season was over, was a lot worse than my schedule here because you're planes, trains and automobiles recruiting from Sunday night until Friday afternoon and hustling back and practicing, getting a practice in Friday afternoon, practice Saturday, practice Sunday, get back on a plane and fly around the country chasing down recruits," he said.

"Maybe a misconception is when you're a college coach and the last game is done and then the bowl game comes, you don't have a month off. I would argue my schedule was more hectic from a recruiting standpoint than it was here. So I'm looking forward to being in the office every day and watching tape. That is the fun part of our job."

11/17/2014 - 3:26pm And the B1G tourney

New Detroit arena will be in the mix to host many events

• On the importance of hosting the Big Ten hockey tournament in 2015 and again in 2017: "We are Hockeytown. Our legacy is important in the world of hockey. To get (the Big Ten tournament) off the ground, you need to be in big-time hockey cities, college hockey cities, big-time professional hockey cities, amateur, it's all here. We're sort of the center of that universe. It was a real exciting for us to get this, especially coming out of the blocks."

• On sharing it with St. Paul, MInn., where the inaugural tournament was held last year: "The preference is always to have it yourself, if you could. We're talking to the Big Ten about 2018, because the four years will be up. The new facility will be open, the whole (arena) district will be open, and the city will be dramatically different. It's dramatically different than two years ago, when we were first awarded this tournament. It's much more exciting here, much more vibrant. As a lot of the college kids come here -- and this tournament will grow and grow and grow -- everyone is going to see this as a fun opportunity and part of the college experience, and our city is going to have much more to offer."

• On the possibility of hosting other NCAA tournaments, such as wrestling and the college hockey Frozen Four: "All kinds of NCAA events."

11/17/2014 - 3:18pm My Conspiracy Theory

I think the Pistons will eventually move downtown. Not sure how long it's gonna take(my guess is sometime between 2020-2025), but Gores will end up flipping the team for profit. Gilbert could sell the Cavs before that, allowing him to buy the Pistons. I've even heard some rumors that Tom Wilson(who now works for Ilitch) could come into play.

BTW-The new arena will have an underground practice rink(see above) so it will be a lot easier to have both teams playing there.

11/16/2014 - 10:58pm Incidents under Hoke...

And he forgot Toussaint and Stonum.

11/16/2014 - 10:16pm You must be a lawyer...

This is not enough detail for you?

11/16/2014 - 10:02pm It's becoming increasingly hard to root for this team

I'm at the point now where I just want the season to end. A bowl game would serve more as a punishment than a reward.

11/16/2014 - 9:50pm Do you really need more evidence?

Clark, who had a bloody nose, then remained quiet when Curran asked follow-up questions. Despite a large welt and blood on her face, the victim repeatedly refused going to a hospital for medical treatment and didn't want to pursue charges against Clark. "I advised (the victim) in Ohio when a domestic violence victim does not want to pursue a criminal charge against the offender, and there are signs of physical violence, we are guided by law to charge that offender with domestic violence," according to Curran's report.

11/16/2014 - 9:34pm Get rid of him!

And it happens right after Larry Foote said we need "more guys from the hood".

11/16/2014 - 7:38pm Got my hopes up... I thought it said

Coach Hoke Resigns

11/16/2014 - 6:09pm edit

wrong topic

11/16/2014 - 6:05pm I wouldn't, this coaching staff blows

It's not like those 15 BWW Bowl practices helped us...

11/16/2014 - 3:59pm Cam Cameron being discussed for OC lol

On the bright side, Hackett is from the Schembechler clan and will hopefully get rid of all the Carr cronies.

11/16/2014 - 3:48pm Beaver is a complete joke

Sam is considered credible on recruiting and inside info from the current coaching staff. I wouldn't count on him for CC info.

11/16/2014 - 2:43pm Harbaugh doesn't have a close

Harbaugh doesn't have a close relationship with anybody in the media, all these reports are just opinions. Nobody knows for sure, we have to wait for Hackett or the new AD to make him an offer.

11/16/2014 - 1:43pm lol

Michigan football/men's basketball beat writer for MLive Media Group. Likes Diet Coke. A lot. Also loud. Usually right, unless I'm wrong.

11/16/2014 - 12:50pm It is big

Schlissel this week pretty much agreed with what Harbaugh said about Michigan football and academics. It would be a perfect fit.

11/16/2014 - 12:11pm I think ND was after him, but

I think ND was after him, but he picked Florida.

11/16/2014 - 12:06pm Florida looks like a perfect fit for Rich Rod

He always recruited that state, but just imagine being able to land the top athletes there with his system.

11/15/2014 - 8:07pm Question about Wisconsin

They've changed coaches and coordinators, how are they so consistent with their rushing game?

11/15/2014 - 7:34pm QB is the toughest spot to shore up

Just look at Florida and Texas. It's been a while since they've had a competent QB.

11/15/2014 - 7:30pm OK... maybe not

11/15/2014 - 7:22pm I would still take him over

I would still take him over Hoke. He's at least made it to the B1G championship game.

11/15/2014 - 2:16pm Sorry

Fixed it.

11/14/2014 - 1:55pm Come home Jimmy

Jim Harbaugh always wants changes and always wants something new. He gave hints of this at Stanford, and he always was getting something new because college is such a transient place. Freshmen turn into sophomores, juniors turn into seniors. The planned obsolescence of each player seemed to work well with Harbaugh’s mindset. He knew he had the best toy under the Christmas Tree in Luck, and he was able to nurture and enjoy him for four years. But he was able to trade in the rest of his toys for new ones on a consistent basis.

Recruiting a QB at Michigan would be the easiest thing in the world for him. Come to the school where Tom Brady played and I coached Luck and Kaepernick.

11/14/2014 - 1:15pm Bring back memories of the good old days

Hall owning Kyle Orton.

11/14/2014 - 11:04am Thanks for the info

BTW-A documentary about the Red Army team comes out today.

11/14/2014 - 12:34am OSU stuff was much ado about nothing

He should have been the coach in 2007 and we wouldn't be in this mess right now. We'll never know the full story, but  when Lloyd reached out to RR, it probably had something to do with him not wanting Miles here.

BTW-Thank you alum96, you have done an amazing job breaking down all the CC.

11/14/2014 - 12:17am Hockey

It's my favorite sport and I try to watch every game I can. Also, as a big Wings fan, I'm looking forward to seeing Dylan Larkin for the next four years. He looks like the type of player that will finally bring us the 'La Decima'.

11/13/2014 - 2:53pm Michigan FootballMichigan

Michigan Football

Red Wings

Michigan Basketball/Hockey

11/13/2014 - 12:48pm Charlie Weis started by going to two BCS Bowls

How did that work out for ND?

Still no elite-level road wins in year four. About to be 0-5 in red letter games, in the last five. Blown out by MSU two years in a row(let's not forget about the stake incident and apology). Worst loss in history against ND. Morris incident, the aware, but not fully aware etc...

11/13/2014 - 12:22pm He's never won a conference

He's never won a conference title anywhere. In year four, we are still looking for an elite-level road win.  If he was anything more than above average, we would have seen it by now.

11/12/2014 - 8:24pm McAtee scored the game

McAtee scored the game winning goal against Sparty to bring back Big Bear. I have a feeling, next year we'll finally win the Big Ten regular season title.

11/12/2014 - 5:47pm Yes!

11/12/2014 - 2:44pm He used to come on the Stoney and Wojo show

Not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. Great football player, but no someone I want representing my school.

11/12/2014 - 2:09am Bill Martin spend a lot of time figuring things out

Instead of hiring the coach everyone wanted and look where we ended up. Jim Harbaugh not only won, but he did at a great academic institute. It's a perfect fit, stop overthinking it and get it done!

11/12/2014 - 1:59am (No subject)

11/12/2014 - 1:12am It would probably be someone like Butch Jones

Better than Hoke, but still not what we need and season ticket sales will plummet.

11/12/2014 - 1:08am We'll be in the red either

We'll be in the red either way, but tickets are gonna plummet if they keep Hoke. The only thing that could save us, is a "home run" hire. People are not gonna buy tickets if we hire someone like Schiano.

BTW-Take a listen to this season ticket holder(starts at 27:45) on the Jamie Morrris show:…

11/11/2014 - 11:27pm I wouldn't be surprised either

It happened in 2007, they got in because West Virginia lost to Pitt.

You have to root for Oregon, ASU, FSU, TCU and Miss State or Bama to win out.

Miss State could lose to Alabama or Ole Miss or SEC title game.

Oregon could lose to Oregon State or PAC 12 title game.

Alabama could lose to Miss State or Auburn or SEC title game.

TCU could lose @ Texas on Thanksgiving Day.

Arizona State could lose to Arizona or PAC 12 title game.

Baylor could lose to Kansas State.

11/11/2014 - 10:46pm He was selling them a winning

He was selling them a winning program and has failed to deliver. This is year four for god sakes. These kids are looking around because our record sucks. Not because bloggers and message board posters are negative about Hoke.
