Wife Day Open Thread

Wife Day (I.e. bye week) is upon us. Considering all that our mgowives have had to tolerate from us this season, how will you be expressing appreciation for your better half today?

all day. Good day with just me and the toddler. h Her favorite activity, grocery shopping, is on the menu. Then it's clean up the kitchen and maybe take the toddler back out to get mommy a new shirt that she really wants and some flowers to go with it for when she gets home.

My wife is essentially the wife upon which the whole thing is named... And she has no idea that it's a thing. And, of course, if I'd try to tell her, She'll probably say something like "okay, have fun with your imaginary Michigan friends."

Kids are going to their aunt's house for the day. AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING

Moving my wife's mom from one apartment she hoarded (as in way too much stuff) and trashed to a new apartment. Now, let me go find my haz-mat suit and 100 boxes.

Wife Day just so happens to coincide with my anniversary this year. So there's that. The kid is spending the night with the in-laws, too. Look out, kitchen table!

Cooking some ribs over here and it's her day to sleep in. Keeping an eye on the weather to maybe take my kid to The Rock game to give her the afternoon off.

as he's doing the pregame of Michigan @Sparty 1979, and preparing a turkey to put on the smoker for the next several hours.

F the weather, it won't stop me!

I feel sorry for those who hate thier marriages. My wife is the shit and will be right next to me watching football all night. FYI, you don't have to stay in marriage you don't like. It's a choice!

work out, but I bought my wife a dress and a pair of shoes. Going to lay them on the bed this afternoon with flowers and a note to be ready at 5:45. Have dinner reservations which will cost 10 times what any dinner should, then to see Ben Folds with the GR symphony orchestra. Then a few drinks, and if all goes as planned, go home and the real fun begins.

Didn't work out that great the first time, but it wasn't the size so much as the cut. This one would be hard to screw up. As far as the rest of the night, sure, I'd rather save my money avg just go to chipotle, but I love my wife and I love Ben Folds. I'm also likely to get "expensive date night with the kids away at grandma's" sex out of the deal (always the best kind). I really can't lose tonight and I wouldn't trade any of you.

Figuring out which job offer puts me on the career path that allows the family to move back to Ann Arbor or to Minneapolis in three years, also which house to buy to the same ends. Milwaukee is great but it's not a family-raising city.

that she agreed to watch her friend's kids today despite agreeing to volunteer at work. So, I'll be babysitting a 6 month old and 4 yr old today with the help of my 6 yr old.

In my house wife day is Sunday through Friday every week.  It helps that I don't really watch NFL.  So for me, it doesn't matter if Michigan plays or not.  It's still one of the precious few college football weekends of the year.

And yes, I love my wife and we have a great marriage!

Wife and I are going to the Slippery Rock game and then hoping to watch some of the band invitational. My high school is performing in the invitational. Then we are going to the UNH game at Yost hoping for a much better effort than last night...At least JT Compher showed some fire on the bench at end of the third with an aneurysm of leadership.
