Yawn.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
I tend to agree, but this guy doesn't usually throw shit against the wall to see if it sticks.
EDIT- Maybe related to this? Would be hilarious.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:25 PM ^
Whatever it is, it can't be the end of the world. Look at his message. It sounds so smug. I don't care how good his connection is, people like them who write messages like that are not to be trusted.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:55 PM ^
Yeah... I've thought from the very start that there is a 0% chance that other teams aren't employing the same tactics if there is even an immeasurable amount of advantage to be gained.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:20 PM ^
Right. Just because we got caught cheating means everyone else must be cheating in the exact same way too!
(Look, I'm not sure how big an advantage it actually gave us, or if it's even against the rules! I'll let other people figure all that out. But ... come on now. "If we're doing it, then other teams must be doing it too?" Damn, the contortions we go through to convince ourselves we didn't do anything wrong ...)
October 24th, 2023 at 5:32 PM ^
I did not state that we did nothing wrong, nor did I state that "everyone" is doing it. I stated that there is a 0% chance that others aren't doing something like this if there is an advantage to be gained and grey area to be explored. And it was in response to the post that reporters are sniffing around OSU for similar activities.
So kindly piss off.

Dennis Franklin is not “da man”
October 24th, 2023 at 7:09 PM ^
Well, the real Dennis Franklin is "da Man".
This one? 🤔
October 24th, 2023 at 5:45 PM ^
I mean they are.
Just look at the rule itself. If they were serious about ethics they would have forbidden theft of signals . But they didn’t.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:46 PM ^
Correct. Stealing signals is fine, it's the method in which they're stolen that comes under fire...
If an employee of the program "sends" non employees to steal signals is this now a crime or a loophole? And are students allowed to film/steal signals and relay that information to staff members?
The whole thing is bullshit.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
Stop saying we got caught cheating. Do you know that for a fact? Everything is rumor right now. It is not we. It is one person. It is "we" when coaches conspire with other coaches and analysts to gain advantage. You are trying too hard to slam UM. Some idiots are saying OSU lost only because of this. Many are trying to point out that those kind of extreme takes are not true. It does not mean there is nothing wrong here. This could be an advantage but it is unclear how much of an advantage it is.
October 24th, 2023 at 8:00 PM ^
Do you know how many former players/coaches have said it's actually near universally done everywhere?
October 24th, 2023 at 11:16 PM ^
Then explain to me how all these football insiders have said that this goes on elsewhere? Brady Quinn, former Notre Dame quarterback, "A lot of coaches that I talked to don't want to talk about it and don't want to talk about it for a reason. Anyone who's out there who says 'Oh that doesn't go on this is just Michigan!' they're lying to you or they're ignorant to how the game of football is today, at least at the the college level." A former Notre Dame quarterback is no doubt a Michigan homer! I'm sorry you must not be refreshing Twitter, Youtube, ESPN, and Reddit constantly like some of us are, but some big voices in college football have basically confirmed this is nothing new.
October 24th, 2023 at 11:22 PM ^
Please stop using "we" Dennis - it makes it look like any of us reading this, or rooting for the same team as you, are in it with you.
We are not...

Glad people understood. I'm on mobile and couldn't find a friendly .gif or video.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:26 PM ^
I frequent a discord community for fantasy football run by a big OSU fan. He stated today that he’d be “shocked if most schools are not doing this”. I was surprised by this take from him, now I am wondering if he knows something as he is somewhat connected.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:35 PM ^
So if OSU gets busted, imagine how bad the beatdown will be this year if they can't steal our signals!!!
October 24th, 2023 at 8:36 PM ^
Maybe instead of playing each other, we could have a sign stealing contest!
October 24th, 2023 at 9:26 PM ^
This seems to be what happens every time my family plays euchre
October 24th, 2023 at 7:54 PM ^
They have henshkes. We have STALIONS
October 24th, 2023 at 6:37 PM ^
Givler posted his big scoop. It's that Connor Stalions once bought a ticket to a Clemson game lmao
October 24th, 2023 at 7:10 PM ^
OK, this is the last straw. Cheating against OSU and PSU is one thing, but Dabo Sweeney is a deeply religious man of God. Fire Harbaugh!!!
October 24th, 2023 at 7:27 PM ^
Great. Let's offer to vacate all our historical wins over Clemson and move on.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:46 PM ^
This is the big news? This makes it look like he was doing for many. May be this buckeye is helping us? Damn.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:13 PM ^
Nothingburger. His "breaking news" is that Connor Stalions bought a ticket to a Clemson game.
SOURCES: Michigan's alleged sign-stealing operation extended beyond just Big Ten foes. Buckeye Huddle has learned that Michigan staffer Connor Stalions also purchased a ticket to a 2022 Clemson home game.https://t.co/Dqd8SnnLCO

Wait until we find out this was just the dudes side hustle.
Like, the information from the Clemson game was sold to South Carolina.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:44 PM ^
Ha ha ha. Wouldn't that be hilarious?
October 24th, 2023 at 8:38 PM ^
He also went to the past two SEC championship games, but not, sadly, to the Big XII championship game last year.
October 24th, 2023 at 8:39 PM ^
I don’t know if this is true, but if it’s found that he did it with schools outside of the Big Ten, then it does change the jurisdiction somewhat. The NCAA could just hand the investigation to the Big Ten, they say it’s no big deal and move on. However if he’s done it to out of conference opponents, then the NCAA could get pressure from SEC and ACC commissioner’s to drop the hammer because Michigan not being in the playoffs will absolutely increase the chances of Georgia, FSU, or anyone not named Michigan of winning it all. I would much rather have our fate determined by the Big Ten than the NCAA with pressure coming from other conferences to keep us out.
October 25th, 2023 at 12:38 AM ^
the NCAA could get pressure from SEC and ACC commissioner’s to drop the hammer
They don't want that. The last thing they want is for the NCAA to think it has the authority to investigate anything. They especially don't want the NCAA thinking it has the authority to dole out punishments.

October 24th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
The rumor I've heard, and this is just rumor, is that they are suspicious Michigan hacked practice footage. I don't believe it because that is a real crime and the punishment is real jail, that is just the deep web rumor I have heard.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
How does one do that?
October 24th, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
It's stored on a computer and you hack the computer. I highly doubt THAT happened and to make that accusation you would need rock solid proof.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
Rock solid proof is not needed for guys like Thamel and Mandel. They take word of mouth and spew it as fact and then we're guilty in the court of public opinion.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:36 PM ^
Dude, if the footage isn't properly hidden / secured, it's quite possible that no "hacking" (should be "cracking") would be required. Think of people who put their passwords on sticky notes under their keyboards.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:39 PM ^
Next stage in grief: Denial.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:42 PM ^
You try too hard to be a dick. Be yourself. Most people will eventually come around that you are a dick. Just let it play out naturally.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:49 PM ^
Im not being a dick. Literally everyone besides Michigan media think that this is very bad, and that there will likely be more leaks. The amount of tribalism is ridiculous. There is so much circumstantial evidence that there was some shady shit going down. the extent to it? It remains to be seen. However going “well it wasn’t TECHNICALLY hacking” isn’t as enlightening as you think.
October 24th, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
I mean that's a lie that everyone besides Michigan media thinks this is very bad. Say what you want about the people I'm about to list to those who are like, "wtf are we even doing here?" in the media have been Cowherd, Gottlieb, Brady Quinn, Finebaum, Greeny. Just off the top of my head. Again, say what you want about the people listed but it's incorrect to say "literally everyone besides Michigan media think that this is very bad."
October 24th, 2023 at 4:58 PM ^
Colin Cowherd and Doug Gottlieb are clown hot take artists. They are not insiders or even knowledgeable of this arena. They are generalists in the media landscape and state things to generate ratings, not being correct.
Insiders to college football, folks who cover it, have had mixed reactions, but it CERTAINLY hasn’t been “nothing to see here”.
The national media isn’t infalible, they could be wrong. It’s possible that they come out of this and go “Connor was going completely rogue, and in reality it was only in person scouting for a few games. The staff has ZERO knowledge of Connor’s methods”. However, I just haven’t seen evidence that this is the case.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:03 PM ^
“clown hot take artists.”

October 24th, 2023 at 5:04 PM ^
How about Deion Sanders? Do you not take him seriously because he agrees with the Michigan fan base?
October 24th, 2023 at 5:27 PM ^
I tend to ignore the moral compass of a man who defrauded a state with a fraudulent school and chocked out the principal on audio tape.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:03 PM ^
Or you ignore him because he doesn't support your narrative.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:08 PM ^
You're doing the exact thing that you accuse everyone else of doing, except from the other side. You have zero evidence of any wrong doing. We've heard nothing from the NCAA itself yet. Nada. Everything we've heard has been from the media or the rumor mill or some guy who knows some guy. So when you are so certain of our guilt (and it's baaaaad), you have as much actual knowledge as anyone else. You can cherry pick the media you think are legit, but let's face it: they're all in it for the money and the clicks and the views. You're a contrarian, and that's fine but you deserve to be called out for it when you have no more actual, credible information than anyone else.
