Remember the good times of 2018
Full disclosure.
The last two games sucked hard. But this season was full of a lot of fun.
Nobody can make the 3rd place jokes anymore because Michigan beat MSU, PSU and Wisconsin by a combined score of 101-27 this season. A lot of people said this schedule was impossible and predicted an 8-4 and even some as bad as a 7-5 season.

WD you gonna credit the woman on twitter who made this exact post last night on twitter? Because I know you saw it...

Great post! The last 2games sucked but the projected record and what this team did was really an overachievement in my opinion.....but others may not remember it like that.....weed is now lawful to smoke...short term memory haha

The only good win was vs PSU. Wisconsin, MSU, and Northwestern were all pretty bad this year.
December 31st, 2018 at 6:23 AM ^
NW did win the West so "pretty bad" is a bit harsh. They weren't elite or anything, but going into NW and getting a win was a good win for any B1G team this year.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:37 AM ^
Akron and Duke also beat Northwestern this year. Dont let the fact that Northwestern won a garbage division make you think they were a noteworthy win.
December 31st, 2018 at 7:46 AM ^
NW only lost one regular season B1G game. I'll give you a second to figure out who it was that beat them. Hint: the team that beat them came back from 17 points down on the road.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:24 AM ^
As irritating as the Northwestern game became - and in a hurry, mind you - the fight involved in the comeback was something that I don't know we had seen from many Michigan teams in a while. I don't know about others, but I did smile at the "never quit" and the scratching and clawing and eventually winning that one.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:18 AM ^
Part of what makes the OSU and Florida game frustrating: that game felt like a team on a mission to come back. Then, against OSU, those same guys seemed lost as to how to get back in the game.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:19 AM ^
Here we go again... "If we beat them, they must not have been good because a priori we suck." Tiresome.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:43 AM ^
Wisconsin and MSU were 7-5. I'm glad we beat them but those arent great records.
Northwestern was 8-4, lost to Duke and Akron. Dont let the fact that they won a terrible division cloud your judgement.
PSU at 9-3 is a nice win, especially given how we blew them out.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:37 AM ^
Beating Sparty in East Lansing - especially by two TDs - can't be scoffed at.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:43 AM ^
We were pretty bad last year but it doesn’t prevent the teams who beat us from calling it a good win. It is a good win for them to beat us any year and it was good for us to beat Wisconsin, MSU, and Penn State this year.
I hate how the year ended but there were some good wins and good times this year. I understand I have a choice how to spend my money and time and I will continue to choose spending money and time on all things University of Michigan. There will be ups and downs but I will continue to support because the entire university means so much to me. Maybe someday it will change but not because of how many games the football team wins or loses.

Remember how fun it was hooking up with the chick
dont think about the fact that it ended with aids
December 31st, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
Dude.
December 31st, 2018 at 12:28 AM ^
Just shut it all down.
December 31st, 2018 at 12:32 AM ^
Can people stop with the insane overreactions? Now, 10 wins is comparable to AIDS? WTF
December 31st, 2018 at 8:51 AM ^
In this analogy, I think that "10 wins" is the hot chick. The last two losses are the AIDS.
December 31st, 2018 at 12:57 AM ^
I mean I would compare it more to asking a girl out she says no (ND) it doesn’t go well with her BF, she agrees to go out with you (games 2-11), then you plan to bring her home to your parents finally just to find her Thanksgiving weekend sleeping with the dude you hated in high school (OSU), and then you think you’re back on good terms and she’s caught sleeping with the guy you bullied for 3 years in high school (Florida).
December 31st, 2018 at 1:21 AM ^
This made perfect sense to me. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. So, im gonna go sleep now.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:25 AM ^
Why anyone gets back with someone who slept with someone else behind his or her back is beyond me. Are we saying that The team doesn’t learn from its mistakes and gets fucked over the same way, twice?

WD, more like EeeeWWwww!!!!

Remembering the good times is what Michigan fans do best. With no Big Ten championships since this year's freshmen were fresh out of diapers.

I got married it was great
December 31st, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
Nice congrats!
December 31st, 2018 at 12:25 AM ^
Those 3 teams ended up being very average, they looked like trash against weak nonconference opponents and won the B1G games they were supposed to.
December 31st, 2018 at 12:36 AM ^
The beginning and end sucked, but the middle was pretty good.
A lot like life.
December 31st, 2018 at 12:46 AM ^
Underrated.
December 31st, 2018 at 1:09 AM ^
Any Michigan post that says “Remember the good times of 2018” that does not have Mo Wagner breaking Nick Ward’s ankles in it is invalid.

This...

Good stuff WD. I will carry several good memories from this season. The steamrolling of Wisconsin, PSU, and MSU was extremely fun. The last two games will unfortunately stick around too - but I will endeavor to invest more energy in remembering the 10 straight wins.

I think "Easy credit ripoffs" comes before Hangin in a chow line. And I think we only know that line because of the Chapelle Show.

Chappelle lied to us.

Good Times
Any time you meet a payment
Good Times
Any time you need a friend
Good Times
Any time you're out from under
Not getting hassled, not getting hustled
Keepin' your head above water
Making a way when you can
Temporary layoffs
Good Times
Easy credit rip-offs
Good Times
Scratchin' and surviving
Good Times
Hanging in and jiving
Good Times
Ain't we lucky we got 'em
Good Times

I always thought the line was "Hanging in a jury" as a play on 'hung jury.' I stand by that.

As a fan, my goal as each new season starts is that we play for, and win, championships. As a dad, my goal is to make great memories with my 9 year-old son along the way. In 2018, we went to LA for the sweet 16 and got to watch the men’s basketball team rip through both opponents on their way to the final four and the national championship game. We also attended 3 football games in the big house against Nebraska, Penn St., and Indiana and a men’s soccer game as an unplanned bonus this fall. Michigan won all those games, which was awesome.
What was even more awesome was sharing those experiences with my kid. The crowds, the atmosphere, singing the victors, the big plays, and the thrill of competition. The planes, trains, hotels, and sense of adventure. Creating great memories.
As a fan, we fell short in 2018. As a dad, 2018 kicked ass. Bring on 2019 and Go Blue!

It's hard for guys who aren't dads to keep things like college football in perspective. I want michigan to win every game they play, but a lot of the posters here act like spoiled toddlers who lose a toy and throw a temper tantrum when we lose. Sad.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:17 AM ^
What bothers me the most about what you rightfully call the "posters here [who] act like spoiled toddlers" is their anger. Not disappointment, not sadness, but anger and utter hatred. I suspect -- and certainly hope -- that they are a small minority of Michigan fans and, especially (assuming with no basis that they are fellow alumni) Michigan grads.

I used to follow the Superfan guy on Twitter, until I realized he's a fucking whiny baby
December 31st, 2018 at 3:22 AM ^
Beilein and Michigan beat a team TWICE with 2 players drafted in the top 12. Jaren Jackson looks like the next Kevin Garnet.
But Harbaugh needs better players to beat Ohio State lol.
