Badgers D is dominating. Another team from the south getting introduced to B1G football - the total experience this time, outdoors in NYC ( we can claim it as part of our footprint thanks to Rutger)
December 27th, 2018 at 6:42 PM ^
Neither team looks good. Miami will struggle in the cold, which is why I took Wisconsin.
December 27th, 2018 at 6:47 PM ^
Bowl season has been a series of clunkers. This is no different. Half of Miami's offense came on one play. Still, Big Ten is showing last season's bowl record was no fluke.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
And here I thought Miami had its swagger back.....really anemic looking team
December 27th, 2018 at 6:50 PM ^
Easy to root for the badgers, though richt is as clean of s coach as you will find in that environment.
December 27th, 2018 at 6:50 PM ^
Well at the half its 14-3 Wiscy, with dominating stats in all categories. Still, it's early.
That said, this sort of seems like it might be turning into a "the ACC sucks" referendum.
Last night the ACC's 5th best team suffered its worst loss of the season (including games against Clemson and Georgia) to the B1G's 10th best team.
For this to be Miami's worst lost of the season, Wisconsin needs to win, and by a margin more than 33-17. However as long as Wisconsin scores two more touchdowns in the second half and wins, it will almost certainly be worse than Miami's worst ACC loss.

“For this to be Miami's worst lost of the season, Wisconsin needs to win, and by a margin more than 33-17.”
Done.
December 27th, 2018 at 8:34 PM ^
Nobody can spin Miami scoring 3 points into anything other than a disaster. Didn’t they play Wisconsin a few years ago in chilly (not cold) weather and get handled then too?
December 27th, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Wisconsin and Miami played in the Orange Bowl last season, with the Badgers winning by 10, 34-24.
December 27th, 2018 at 9:02 PM ^
On top of all that, the ACC usually has very favorable bowl match-ups. Their bottom-end teams are often playing teams from outside the Power 5.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:00 PM ^
There is nobody there at that game
Yankee stadium only holds 52k and it looks so empty. The bowls are really hurting when it comes to attendance.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:35 PM ^
Would you rather go to the Tangerine Bowl or the Corporate_Insert_Name_Here wtfever toiletbowl that nobody knows what it is and the name won't be the same next year.
Most bowl games are nothing but a scheme to rent a stadium, sell a sponsorship for $$$ with 2 teams that most people don't give a shit about watching
December 27th, 2018 at 8:47 PM ^
That was the type of game that only the players families show up to.
December 27th, 2018 at 8:48 PM ^
Pinstripe bowl has a challenging track record if I recall correctly. Lots of cold weather, too much snow, lower ranked teams so it is mostly an excuse to go to Manhatten and hang out and maybe offer two striving teams an ability to practice for three more weeks. I might go one day but primarily because it is in NY.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:06 PM ^
Isn't Richt's kid his QB coach? Might be time to fire his progeny.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:10 PM ^
Excellent game plan by Paul Chryst tonight, playing to Wisconsin's strengths on offense while minimizing what Jack Coan is being asked to do. Defense was ready for Miami, with coverages mixed up and confusing Malik Rozier the whole first half. If their kicker didn't have the yips, this game would have been all but over by now. This would be a major coaching win for Wisconsin tonight, with all the injuries they've had this year.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:13 PM ^
At least 3 missed blocks in the back on that punt return.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:14 PM ^
Another turnover. Bowl season continues to induce eye cancer.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:24 PM ^
It appears Jonathan Taylor didn't receive the tweet that "bowl games are meaningless."
Damn, I wish that kid was on our team.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:30 PM ^
Got one better enrolling early.....
December 27th, 2018 at 7:25 PM ^
Freakin beatdown...Mark Richt is not impressive in year 2
December 27th, 2018 at 8:06 PM ^
one of the reasons is because he runs a clean program. that's why he got kicked out of UGA, he wouldn't take those last few steps to compete in the SEC. lo and behold, suddenly kirby whats'-his-name is killing it on the recruiting trail. coincidence? me thinks not.
December 28th, 2018 at 6:37 AM ^
Lol at the idea of a clean program being run at Miami. I am a product of the 80's during the Catholics vs convicts days.
December 28th, 2018 at 1:15 PM ^
Or maybe he just isn't that good of a coach. Didn't they just get rolled by a clean program?
December 28th, 2018 at 12:01 AM ^
It's actually year three for Richt in Miami.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:25 PM ^
Anyone else find these two announcers extremely annoying?
December 27th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
have you considered adult beverages? could help.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
I have to hand it to Wisconsin. They seem to do well in their bowl game more often than not. And I have no memory of them involved in pedophilia, finger fucking or wife beating.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:33 PM ^
They flashed a stat at halftime - Paul Chryst is 3-0 in bowl games. Beat Miami last year in impressive fashion, barely beat a Western Michigan team in a no win game for them, and beat USC out in San Diego.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
Seems like they've done well in Pasadena too. And that goes back to Alvarez days.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:49 PM ^
Just one little qualifier, because I think it's important: What Nassar did has been federally classified as rape since 2000. Nassar is the biggest serial rapist in US history.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
And failure to follow up on the early complaints is the bigger crime imo. That goes for all three really.
December 28th, 2018 at 8:53 AM ^
Agreed. I have no ill will toward Wisconsin. Chryst seems to be a standup guy, although he could be a stand in on Mike and Molly. Every dam year they produce running backs that Alabama would take, and literally come out of nowhere. For all the talk of football in the south being so fast, being slobber knocked repeatedly is a great equalizer.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Mark Richts offense makes Harbaugh’s offense look like basketball on grass.
Yeesh talk about leaving your defense out to dry.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:33 PM ^
Mark Richt has definitely lost control of this bowl game.
Did I do that right?
December 27th, 2018 at 7:39 PM ^
You forgot the snark
December 27th, 2018 at 7:38 PM ^
Why are the Wisconsin players so excited? This bowl game doesn’t matter.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:41 PM ^
They're kicking Miami's ass they have every right to be stoked. Hope we look this good.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
Sorry forgot the /s for sarcasm in my post. Just trying to be like the bowl games don’t matter holier than thou crew that is forming on this blog.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
Normally my /s meter is pretty good but registered 0 on this one sorry my bad
December 27th, 2018 at 8:00 PM ^
All good!
December 28th, 2018 at 9:26 AM ^
It doesn't matter like our bowl game huh.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:41 PM ^
Wisconsin should go to the opposite sideline and take the turnover chain - could create a new trophy game.
December 27th, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
pass interference...
December 27th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
Wisconsin win was a great win this year
December 27th, 2018 at 7:45 PM ^
Yes it was. Though they are a different team w/o Hornibrook sucking back there...
December 27th, 2018 at 7:44 PM ^
B1G = 2-0
