Patterson and Winovich to play in Bowl Game..may be others sitting out
Not much of a suprise, but Shae and Wino will be playing in the Peach Bowl.
Also, Harbaugh was asked if anyone else is sitting out the bowl game and he said he will let them announce it. So looks like the Bush and Higdon rumors may be true.
Saw this on Baumgardner’s twitter.

That's why it's disappointing that Bush might not be playing. A team captain ditching his team. Yeah, it's a lesser bowl game, but it's still ditching your team when they could really use your help.

Drew Rosenhaus told him not to play.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:36 PM ^
I hope that JH would not play much the players who have a chance to play in NFL next year. First, what is the point of creating an injury and costing the kid a lot of money. Also, give younger kids a chance to play and get ready for next year.
I would play Chase, Bush, Higdon, and may be others just a few series and then move on to younger ones.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
"you play to win the game"!! i've heard that somewhere.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
This. I love the guys that are or are probably leaving, but the bowl game is the first look at 2019, to me. Give the seniors and early-outs a few series to say farewell, and then on to next year.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
It would be great if the bowl game did not count toward eligibility. Allow redshirts and such to be rewarded for waiting out the year.
December 9th, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
To avoid endless amounts of stupid articles and comments saying that losing this bowl means anything about the program or Harbaugh moving forward.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:41 PM ^
So bowl games should be to see who has the better scout teams???
December 10th, 2018 at 10:18 AM ^
No.. they're actually about absolutely nothing at all. They're the Seinfeld of college sports.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:37 PM ^
It'll be fun getting to see new players get a chance to play. Hopefully a good preview of things to come!
December 9th, 2018 at 6:37 PM ^
I hope the wino knows he's going to have to use either a paper cup or a wineskin/bota bag instead of a bottle
December 9th, 2018 at 6:58 PM ^
I’m glad I’m not the only one who wondered why a wino was playing in the Peach Bowl
December 9th, 2018 at 7:13 PM ^
Yeah, I thought Moeller was never coming back.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
If it was like when I was in college, it'd be Ripple or Boone's Farm. And they'd pass the empties up the stands during the games.
Of course, since Wino was playing, he'd have missed that,
December 9th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
Bo would have kicked their gutless asses out of Ann Arbor permanently.
I miss those days...
December 9th, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
Take a hint from your point total and never post again

Anything with Curly +1

We need a different place to send people when they make posts like this--not to Oblivia, but maybe to. . . the Tool Shed; after all, that's what they are acting like. Someplace where they can marinate a while.
December 9th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
You are right - they are heroes for voluntarily sitting out their last game as a Michigan Wolverine on a New Years Day bowl game. Bo would have been thrilled with them.
You don't have to agree with the opinion - but why the hell does it warrant being removed from commenting?
Pathetic...

Great point Mike.
Anyone who sits out the bowl should pack their bags and not ever come back to Michigan.
5 years ago this was unheard of...What changed? And don’t tell me Jake Butt because Jake Butt has been one injury after another since high school. Injuries are always a risk in any game.
Prima donnas.

Money and lots of it.
Gonna be interesting to see what happens to the once revered bowl games going forward. Like it or not, it's not the same college game as it was 5 to 10 years ago.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:49 PM ^
Men back then also beat their wives and kids on the regular. Do you still miss those days?
December 9th, 2018 at 6:41 PM ^
Double post - haven't done that in a while.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:51 PM ^
Good opportunity to downvote you twice
December 9th, 2018 at 6:58 PM ^
And, if we’re being accurate, he would have then gone and lost the bowl game.

Chase is a Michigan Man, without question.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Unless Florida also has guys sitting out, I think they're gonna feast in this game. I doubt the kids who do play will be all that hungry with all their leaders saying screw it and the revenge factor will be huge for the Gators. Unless guys really step up, it looks like another offseason without momentum and plenty of ripping on Harbaugh for having his team finish on a losing streak for the third straight season.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:51 PM ^
It looks like you have this game figured out. What’s the point of even playing?
December 9th, 2018 at 7:05 PM ^
You got it. There is no point. The game is just a consolation prize for being losers.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:45 PM ^
Kind of like playing in the Rose Bowl instead of the playoffs because your team got crushed by a .500 team. Fucking loser.
December 9th, 2018 at 8:08 PM ^
wonder if we would be talking about this if there was a 8 team play off, dunno, maybe.
December 9th, 2018 at 8:16 PM ^
I would argue the kids playing will be hungrier. It will be their first extended opportunity to show what they can do.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
I hope shea comes back next year. We really need one of the corners to come back too. Wino is a michigan man through and through.
Also, bc im still not over dax hill. I heard that the coaches stopped by on wednesday and was still 100% committed and even told them he was practicing in the cold to prepare. Then alabama came in thurs night and he flipped without even telling the coaches. Really want to know what went on in that meeting...ah well
December 9th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
Saban the Godfather made him an offer he can't refuse.
December 9th, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
Money talks. You would think these kids would wonder why whenever a nfl job opens up why isn’t the nfl looking for Saban. That’s because he is not a good coach. Just a recruiter and a bunch of boosters with a lot of money.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:14 PM ^
Saban is, without a doubt the best coach in college.
Nobody recruits harder than Harbaugh & UM is loaded with boosters with a lot of money. Enough to finance overseas trips for the entire team.
How do you know that no NFL team comes calling for Saban? You been monitoring his email? Anyway, he is entrenched as a god in Alabama, & he sure as hell doesn't need the NFL.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:20 PM ^
His record at MSU and Miami does not support your claim.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:25 PM ^
He did just fine at MSU. They were respectable while he was there. Miami has absolutely nothing to do with my claim...
A huge part of being a college coach is recruiting, & he seems to be doing just fine in the x's & o's dept.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
Winovich is a legend. Hope he gets drafted high.
Whatever Shea decides to do he had a pretty good season and I wish him the best.
December 9th, 2018 at 7:17 PM ^
Shea throws a short ball. Not NFL ready. But arrogant
December 9th, 2018 at 7:39 PM ^
What in the world?
December 10th, 2018 at 2:45 PM ^
I've noticed a few short balls, so I won't argue with that point. But where in the world do you get arrogant? He's seemed very level headed and humble in every interview I've seen.
December 9th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
We will win this game even with some backups. It will also be good for the team since we will be playing some impact players for next year.
Go Blue!
December 9th, 2018 at 6:52 PM ^
Can't really blame someone for sitting out for the money But I can't help feeling there's a lack of feeling for "team".
December 9th, 2018 at 6:58 PM ^
I hate this trend of players sitting out - what happened to school pride and playing for your team?
December 9th, 2018 at 7:15 PM ^
Because exhibition games aren’t worth millions of dollars. It’s pretty clear that why this game is different than a regular season game. Bowl games are money making exhibitions so people can profit off these kids one last time and mean nothing
December 9th, 2018 at 8:05 PM ^
Exactly. One of the things that makes college football great is that, with the exception of the College Football Playoff, the regular season means more than the postseason.
