This is epic...two amazing QBs!
November 19th, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
This almost as good as a Super Bowl- just insane
November 19th, 2018 at 11:56 PM ^
Big 12 game
Occasional defense...but not often. Mostly in the form of interceptions
Most exciting NFL game I've seen in years.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:13 AM ^
This is what the NFL wants - lots of yards, lots of TDs, minimal defense, and minimal big hits/players getting injured.
With all the rule changes, I'm sure we'll see yardage numbers blow the doors off in the coming seasons as the NFL "fully weaponizes" itself to providing a fun/immersive product that people enjoy watching.
As much as I love a defensive slugfest with lots of sacks, big hits, and TFLs - that isn't the future of the game of football.
November 20th, 2018 at 10:20 AM ^
Funny how I don't actually enjoy "basketball on grass." I don't enjoy basketball that doesn't bother with defense either.
November 19th, 2018 at 11:59 PM ^
These teams do not believe in defense. And terrible last throw to end the game. Just throwing a prayer into double coverage.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^
wow I hope they meet in the super bowl
November 20th, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^
Eh, fun to watch but also very annoying with the lack of defense. Really gonna try to have LBs and safeties try to check Tyreek Hill just cause he's in the slot? Put your best cover guy on him and forget about Sammy Watkins
November 20th, 2018 at 12:35 AM ^
Your best corner isn't covering Tyreek Hill.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:09 AM ^
There were three defensive TDs and seven turnovers in the game. There was enough defense to keep things entertaining.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:11 AM ^
That might be possible if Talib was playing. Their #2 corner was on a practice squad last year because the secondary is so ravaged by injury. Talib is back vs the lions.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:55 AM ^
Sam Shields was tasked with trying to cover Hill most of the night, because of his speed. Marcus Peters (who has been a disappointment so far this season) was on Kelce a good amount. The Talib injury has definitely hurt the Rams, especially in the New Orleans game.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:04 AM ^
Amazing NFL game!! Glad I stayed up late to watch it. Just think how boring the Lions game is going to seem Thursday.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
Best nfl game I’ve watched in a long time. I think We just witnessed the beginning of the next great QB duel.
Brady-Manning
Brady-Rogers
Goff_Mahomes
Going to be fun watching those two develop over the years
November 20th, 2018 at 5:08 AM ^
Brady and Rodgers have only played against each other twice. Not really a duel IMO
November 20th, 2018 at 9:13 AM ^
Well Goff and Mahomes wont play again for a long time unless it's in the superbowl. Since one is AFC and the other NFC and this crossover wont happen again for at least 4 years.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:08 AM ^
NFL and college are now the same.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
It has to be. You have to adapt to your players strengths. Both of these QBs came from air raid system so what the hell, throw it all day. College offenses are more exciting anyway.
Surprisingly the difference in the game was the defense. That rams Dline caused Mahomes a lot of problems
November 20th, 2018 at 12:37 AM ^
It's really a joke that it's taken this long for NFL teams to develop truly creative offenses. Nobody's playing school in the pros. There are no practice restrictions. What's their excuse for taking so long to have games like this?
November 20th, 2018 at 12:10 AM ^
That was insane!!!
November 20th, 2018 at 12:11 AM ^
That was definitely an entertaining game. Kept me up. Even crazier I had KC at +3. So I pushed....at least I was entertained.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
I needed close to 70 fantasy points from Cooks, Tyreek Hill and Zeurlein tonight and got it thanks to the craziness that played out. 9-2, cruising to a first round bye. Tyreek Hill with the 34th pick has worked out alright this year.
November 20th, 2018 at 7:54 AM ^
I was down 55 with my opponent still having Cooks to play...I won by 30 thanks to Mahomes/Gurley/Kelce/Zuerlein
November 20th, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
Was really hoping for a field goal to force OT and then a TD in OT, which would have been the record for points scored at 114 (current record is 113).
November 20th, 2018 at 12:14 AM ^
Couldn't help thinking of Jedd Fisch (working for the Rams this season). Would like to see him back next year as OC/passing coordinator.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:15 AM ^
Might as well get McVay to come be an analyst too, while were at it.
You know we cant force people to work at Michigan, right?
November 20th, 2018 at 9:43 AM ^
He's the Rams' "clock management specialist" ... we could really use one of those following that series of plays at the end of the 1st half vs. Indiana
November 20th, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
Just left the game...holy crap...I am exhausted. Not sure what I just saw...but start to finish it was such an exciting game. Man I love football.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:23 AM ^
NFL Blitz fully realized.
Just have these two teams play every Monday night.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
Wasn't really rooting for either team yet the game was electric, and one of the best NFL games I have seen in a long time. Not that into the NFL anymore. Tuned in to watch the QBs, but was very impressed with both teams, the pass rushers, and the QBs were superb, throwing dimes all over the field when they had time.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:38 AM ^
Three-team round robin: Rams, Chiefs, Saints
Winner gets Lincoln Riley
November 20th, 2018 at 12:26 AM ^
As a die hard Wolverines/Chiefs fan I’ve never felt more excited about the direction my teams are headed! Great game Chiefs but I’m 100% focused on beating OSU on Saturday! Michigan is, and always will be my first love when it comes to Football...hope we win with cruelty when toe meets leather on Saturday! Go Blue!
November 20th, 2018 at 12:28 AM ^
Ridiculous game!
Also turned around a 50 point deficit, heading into the game, into an 8 point win for my fantasy team thanks to a cool 90 from Goff, Hill and Hunt!
November 20th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
I think they mentioned that it was the first time in NFL history that both teams put up over 50.
November 20th, 2018 at 12:53 AM ^
Instant classic!
November 20th, 2018 at 12:57 AM ^
BEAT Ohio
November 20th, 2018 at 1:18 AM ^
Fuck John Oneil
November 20th, 2018 at 2:06 AM ^
BEAT John Oneil
November 20th, 2018 at 1:32 AM ^
Chiefs fan - that was exhausting to watch. And a number of if-only's for Mahomes, each of which could've made the difference. Home the team learns from this (and we see some defense in future games) and works their way to the Super Bowl.
November 20th, 2018 at 3:29 AM ^
I can’t stand watching a game where zero defense is played.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:23 AM ^
Both of these teams have pretty solid defenses, there were multiple turnovers and defensive touchdowns scored. Good offense just beats good defense.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:04 AM ^
The Rams had 2 defensive Touchdowns, 3 interceptions, caused 2 fumbles, and 3 sacks against one of the best QBs and Offenses in the NFL.
The Chiefs had 2 defensive touchdowns, 5 sacks, caused 3 fumbles, and 8 tackles for loss against one of the best QBs and Offenses in the NFL.
If you did not know the actual score, and just heard the teams combined for 8 sacks, 8 turnovers and 4 defensive touchdowns you would say damn...the defenses had a good day.
November 20th, 2018 at 5:36 AM ^
An Andy Reid team shitting the bed in a big game? Where have I seen that one before.....
November 20th, 2018 at 6:02 AM ^
I see the NFL made some changes with the officiating crew in this game. Jerome Boger (probably the worst ref in the league) was pulled. Only 3 guys from his crew worked the game. The referee for the game Clete Blakeman had two guys from his crew with him. The rest came from 2 other crews. So essentially the NFL put together an All-Star officiating crew for a premier game, that is now considered an instant classic. Yet we are stuck with John Fucking O'Neil and the OSU Fan Boyz.
November 20th, 2018 at 6:22 AM ^
Millennial football. Instant gratification. No defense whatsoever. This is what the NFL wants. Glorified flag football. Reminds me of the Richrod basketfootball game against Illinois.
November 20th, 2018 at 6:54 AM ^
Dumbest post in the thread bar none.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:22 AM ^
Congrats, you won Tired Cliché Bingo!
November 20th, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
Beautiful satire. That took time to squeeze that many cliches in one short post. This will be my new copypasta, thank you.
November 20th, 2018 at 7:05 AM ^
“Don’t look at Mahommes turnovers, look at his yards” that was a quote from some ESPN talking head during the game. Dude ended up with 3 picks and 2 lost fumbles with 6 TD’s...and his team lost...what a stud
November 20th, 2018 at 7:58 AM ^
Considering that there has to be a ton of people watching just for fantasy football reasons...the TOs don’t hurt as much as the TDs and yards help, so it makes sense in that regard.
