Jesus are you thick??? Are all things equal?? What sense is that? If that's the case and because something happened once it's predetermined to always happen they may as well just pack it up and go back to Ann Arbor. Man there never used to be takes like this before. Idiocy.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
The idiocy is thinking that these conditions are going to disproportionately benefit Michigan.
As if Harbaugh and Brown are the only ones scheming right now and Warner and Dantonio are going around snarling in their lockeroom and telling the team how much they should hate all things Michigan.
News flash; both staffs are taking the information they gained in the brief amount of football we have witnessed so far and are scheming around it. Dantonio’s earned the benefit of the doubt that he can use these conditions and circumstances to his gain as much as anyone else.

Don’t think it definitively helps one team or the other. Still 0-0. If either team was up 14-0, I think the down team would be at a severe disadvantage, but everyone’s back at square one more or less.
What I do think it’ll do is take some of the emotion out of the game. Things will settle down on both sides, some fans won’t come back to the game depending on how long the delay is, and that makes for a less raucous environment for UM to have to play in.
Again, not a definitive benefit for Michigan. But it doesn’t hurt them either.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:57 PM ^
I don't think so.
October 20th, 2018 at 12:58 PM ^
Absolutely! You’d have to think it helps us especially with running the football. We’ll win 17-14!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:00 PM ^
Everyone change your cleats! Put in 1-inch screw-ins!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:01 PM ^
Meh another 45 minutes of waiting.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:01 PM ^
So we get don Brown's magic halftime adjustment in the 1st quarter. Let's go. Go Blue.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:01 PM ^
Not sure who the delay helps, but rain helps Sparty.
M is really superior in most facets. MSU is the equal of M in just one facet: run D.
Rain makes this a game that will depend more on running the ball. Long passes will be ruled out if it is raining.
IOW rain makes for a slimmer M offensive playbook, which favors Sparty BC M has advantages in all areas except stopping the run.
If M has to win by running on Sparty it becomes a more equal match up
October 20th, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
Msu doesnt have a running game. They rely on throwing the ball. The weather doesnt help anyone
October 20th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
Won't be easy for MSU to run on Michigan either.
But rain when play resumes minimizes M's advantages in other areas and makes the entire game turn on an area where both teams are moe of less equals--run D.
For example, if there won't be much passing (by either team), then M being better at pass D than MSU's pass D is not much of an advantage.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:41 PM ^
Facts! Furthermore, given how MSU’s DE’s are crashing down so damn hard on Higdon w/o thinking Shea as a threat keeping the ball on zone read/rpo plays.. Shea might have huge numbers Rushing
October 20th, 2018 at 1:03 PM ^
So will Fox stay with this game for its entirety or will they move it to another channel when the 3:30 game comes on.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:06 PM ^
UM radio says 1:52 latest projection for game resumption.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:09 PM ^
It'll go to Fox Sports FS1
October 20th, 2018 at 1:06 PM ^
Let’s just complete the drive for a TD and all will be well!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
Bummed as everyone else was that a perfect arc block was there and Shea didn’t pull. The zone read is more of an art than people think but that one was designed to go to the house and I hope they come back to it.
Otherwise I’m actually fairly positive on what I’ve seen so far. I saw some doubles inside that actually moved their DTs - that got me excited. Running inside will open up the outside - if we can run some IZ ...the complexion of the game completely changes.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
I agree completely. Facts, indeed. Go Blue!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:10 PM ^
Glen Mason with his cooler full of brews in the Rutgers press box.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:10 PM ^
When we hit a slanting DPJ or TE on that read option over the middle of the field you heard it here first.
The safeties are WAAYYYY too aggressive on that and are sprinting at Shea nearly at the snap. It’s going to be wide open and hopefully this break helps us adjust to that
October 20th, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
I agree, a super long time out should help take some of the enthusiasm out of their team and crowd. They always play out of their minds and cover the spread against us. A break should help things settle back down and return to the mean a little.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:16 PM ^
Yes but what about either team's focus?
October 20th, 2018 at 1:17 PM ^
Put Rashan in an Uber, be can make it
October 20th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
The good thing with a delay is it gives Michigan's coaches time to adjust to the looks Sparty gave. Michigan has been very good at in-game adjustments this season on both sides of the ball but especially on defense.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:23 PM ^
Sparty didn't have a chance to show much.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
Goodness it's like we've never won a football game before. Don't worry, UM is the better team. The better team usually wins!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:22 PM ^
Sorry but the last 10 seasons have tainted my optimistic viewpoint on the better team winning in this game. But I do appreciate your optimism.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
LoL FoShowww FauxMo!! Well, I wouldn’t mind that outcome, of course. Cheers! Go Blue!!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:20 PM ^
Don Brown halftime adjustments happen earlier
October 20th, 2018 at 1:22 PM ^
Agree with FauxMo.
Two rounds of half time adjustments for Michigan.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:22 PM ^
It never fails with these cunts that weird shit happens. Maybe I should nap.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:23 PM ^
The larger point of all this being....
October 20th, 2018 at 1:27 PM ^
Just need to take care of business. Go Blue !!!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:28 PM ^
Sack twerky & keep felching Davis locked down.... Go Blue
October 20th, 2018 at 1:33 PM ^
Starting to look like warmed over shit here in GR. Sheesh.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:34 PM ^
Lightning delays helps us. Play is suspended while the worst of the rain falls. Weather will be much better when they resume compared to if they played through it
October 20th, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
Go play action to Nico on first play. Let’s get the rout on!
October 20th, 2018 at 1:44 PM ^
Patterson is doing a lot of running. Favors Michigan.
October 20th, 2018 at 1:47 PM ^
Seeing a little blue sky in Lansing now. I hope it survives all the Fox commercials
