OSU investigation to end in 14 days
not sure if that suggests one way or another.

Try to be coherent when at one of the blogs of your biggest rival.
Start with this: can you spell Ohio?
August 6th, 2018 at 12:38 AM ^
Damn Marv, you got your name wrong. It should read "Simple Marv" because you, clearly, are limited in your read of this situation. Take your blinders off, homer.
The "real victim" here is Courtney Smith the ex-wife of your former wide receivers coach, Zach Smith. She was abused by Zach Smith. That is a victim you clown.
As to your apologism for Meyer, if he knew that Zach Smith abused his wife in 2009, again in 2015 and kept him on staff without repercussion or action (renewing his contract twice) then he needs to be fired. That's on Meyer.
This isn't about firing someone based on allegations. Courtney Smith was, evidently, abused. Meyer knew in 2009, in 2015 and he kept him on staff. No repercussions. Meyer, like Smith, needs to go.
"if Urban truly reported this to the higher upa...then there nothing Urban has left to do"
Keep showing your moral cowardice, Buckeyes. Just please keep talking. I'm actually glad the entire country is getting to witness the maggots burrowing underneath your program.
almost as disgusting and repulsive as PSU fans...
"Nothing he could do"? Didn't Smith just get fired by Urban a week ago, based on the EXACT same evidence that Urban Liar lied about 9 times to the media?! Urban could have fired him in 2015, but chose to protect him...that's GD disgusting.
hope the media and NCAA tear that program a new one
Think about the kids, no one is saying to shut the whole football program. Is it too much to ask to not have a coach who is not a lying sleazeball run your program? The B1G has enough blemishes on its reputation do we need more? Obviously you think so.
Yo Marv. Just curious , do you think Moeller should have been canned? He over drank one night and had alchoal poisioning.
I have a lot to say on this, but I don’t speak mouth breather so you wouldn’t understand. I will use google translate, however, in an attempt to share my thoughts in your primitive dialect.
1) Meyer derp Aaron Hernandez.
2) Meyer derp circle of trust
3) Meyer derp UF criminal-athletes
4) Meyer derp coed affair
5) Meyer derp “heart problems”
6) Meyer derp “family time”
7) Meyer derp go OSU
8) Meyer derp win championship, derp Meyer = God derp
9) Meyer protect bad man again derp, man beat wife derp
10) Meyer derp trouble, derp mouth breather derp no like truth derp
Didn’t read any further than “the kids are the real victims”. What the fuck? A woman was beaten, repeatedly, and everyone around her failed to do the right thing. Go to hell, you sick and twisted mother fucker.
Do us all a favor and stop breathing!
Glad to know there's a Buckeye here who can help point our moral compasses in the right direction.
Why was Smith fired once the allegations went public in 2018 but not 3 years earlier in 2015?
Why even come in a Uof〽️ Blog and talk nonsense. If the roles were reversed you stupid fans in Ohio would be acting like fools. This is the borttom line, the Liar knew back in 2009 that Smith had some issues with his wife, it doesn’t matter if he beat her back in 2009. Why would want anyone on your coaching staff like that.
The Liars Core Values are below if we need to refresh your memory.
What a joke, the Liar so called core values “Decisions Honesty Treat Women with respect” “NO Drugs Stealing Weapons”
This is why everybody hates UM fans

You've never been out of Ohio, have you?
August 6th, 2018 at 12:11 PM ^
Yes, it sucks that Michigan fans expect a coach to not cover up crimes, instead of just putting their heads in the sand and going "BUT MUH FOOTBAW."
"If Urban reported it to the higher ups then there was nothing else he could do"... He could have fired him you fucking ignoramus.
Throw on your scarlett colored sunglasses and stare at the glow coming from urban's ass a little longer.
August 6th, 2018 at 12:40 PM ^
If Urban had lost a lot of football games, and reported it up to the higher ups and said there was nothing else he could do would that be acceptable?
It is not illegal to lose football games.

You aren't smart
August 6th, 2018 at 10:29 AM ^
The ole “it’s about the kids” trick. Used all the time by higher ups in education when teachers are taking the pipe in negation or having to do something that is BS. Sorry won’t fall for that display.

This shouldn’t be a complicated matter. Ms. Smith reported X number of incidents. Meyer learned of Y number of those. Meyer reported what, if anything, he reported. McMurphy has what he has. Fourteen days should be enough time to gather all the facts if we assume cooperation within the AD.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
We’ve come to terms and will announce it in two weeks. Urban will be on the sidelines for B1g play and his wife resigns from the school of nursing.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:11 PM ^
That's an awfully long time to find a file.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
14 days to negotiate a buy-out and conjure up a “heart problem”?
Works for me.
The media has already reached their verdict on the matter... Like UMBig11 (twice) stated - Meyer is done.
I love UMBig11 as much as anyone else on here, but it’s not like he has insider access to Ohio State on this matter. He only knows what Michigan would do given a similar scenario and maybe a couple of details surrounding the story. Sure, umbig probably has a little more info on which to base his Opinion, but in the end he can’t be expected to speak with knowledge of the inner workings of another program.
I value umbig opinion and take it in high regard...just only slightly more than any of us on this particular matter.
that said, I do believe it’s possible for him to hear from counterparts in another program (OSU in this case of course). But I’m betting they’re being tight lipped around there right now.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:19 PM ^
Well on the plus side this confirms that Ohio State is exactly who we thought they were. Wins in football > integrity.
How does it remotely suggest that? The only place rivaling 11W for irrationality on the Urban saga is MGoBored.
August 6th, 2018 at 12:31 PM ^
Welp we could start with Meyer's own tweet from 2016 stating that he doesn't give a crap about reporting shit.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:20 PM ^
This is a return of Meyer's bluff on Friday. They don't want to pay him, can find a lot of dirt in 2 weeks, and have to find out whether assistants need to go too. Is Gene Smith out as well.
Meyer will be fired.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:30 PM ^
That's my thinking too. They've determined Urban's fate now they have to clean up the football department and figure out who knew what and who kept quiet about it.
Lol you guys are so desperate for him to be fired its comical. But I don't blame you
August 6th, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
Not this Michigan fan. I want you to keep him. Please do it will show the nation a ton in the process.
I want him to stay too. I'd rather beat them with Meyer on the sidelines, and besides his presence will always serve as a big shiny medallion for the program that they have zero integrity or interest in anything other than winning football games. Of course, "Buckeye Nation" really doesn't give two shits about that last part and never has, but now a lot more people will take note.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:22 PM ^
The statement actually says "within 14 days," suggesting it could be at any point in the next two weeks.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:27 PM ^
AKA enough time for it to filter out of the news cycle and they quietly reinstate him.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:41 PM ^
There's no filtering out. Maybe several years ago it might have. Not any more.
Way too many MeToo victims out there, who will not stay quiet if another abuser is protected.
August 5th, 2018 at 11:36 PM ^
He will be reinstated and OSU will go all in on supporting their football team. Maybe Urban will go as far as pulling a Franklin and after a big win discuss how this will help the “healing process.”
At the end we will beat them on their field in what unfortunately matters most to them.
August 6th, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
I don't know. According to Wikipedia, Mary Jo White, head of this commission, also was on the panel that gave Zeke Elliott a 6 game suspension last year. Hm.
I just don't know which way this is leaning. I guess it's still slightly more probable that they fire him. They could want to get this over with for a lot of reasons other than getting Urban back on the field before the season. But... I don't know.
August 6th, 2018 at 12:30 AM ^
“No, are you kidding me? Let me be very clear. I’m just hoping the coach doesn’t dismiss me.”
August 6th, 2018 at 12:50 AM ^
That was the old president, Gordon Gee (Whiz).
The current guy may actually have a spine.
When you're 'caught off guard' by a question and your first instinct is to lie your ass off.........you might be urban meyer.
Ugh, this means Urbz will be back in 2 weeks!
14 days may be long enough to give the appearance of a serious investigation and gets him back for the second half of camp.
To the last point, there is nothing logical about being an abused spouse. I do not know enough about her character before he abuse happens, but years of abuse SERIOUYSLY mess with your mind and compass. With that said, her inconvenience of not picking up the kids does not give him the green light to break a restraining/distance legal order. As a teacher, if a parent hasn’t come to pick up their kid, I have to stay and surpervise the child until the parent does, no matter what inconvenience it causes me.
So they’re keeping him.
These next 14 days seem like a wait and see period. Let the media circus die down, and then as long as no other new information comes out, let him back. Maybe he gets a 3-4 game suspension, but he’ll be back by the time it matters.
I sort of disagree with the people who think this means he stays. In my view, if they want to keep him, they need to do an extremely deep dive on the evidence and cover all their bases. Because it’s impossible to prove a negative (ie, that he never transgressed), they would need to pull a ton of evidence just to be sure. If, on the other hand, they have found some impropriety, any impropriety, they have what they need and can be done now, subject to checking contracts, etc. That’s how I’m thinking about it anyways.
Looks like the liar in charge will keep his job. The longer this drags on the better his chances of him staying imo. Very sad indeed!
This is whole thing is getting so freaking weird
can you even get a transcript in 14 days from a place like OSU? what are they possibly going to determine in 14 days? of course 4 of those days people won't be around to help the "investigators"
