Just because he received a crystal ball doesn't mean he's going to commit to Michigan. That being said, he won MVP at a WR Michigan camp and the coaches evaluated him live so clearly they must like him. It seems that Michigan really wants to get faster, shiftier guys for the slot and he along with George Johnson III fits that mold. I don't know how to evaluate film, but it doesn't seem like you can either (considering you're only looking at stars). Just let it play out and be happy with whomever Michigan gets. You don't have to complain all the time.
So they can't get fast shiftier guys that are rated highly? Mario Manningham was a fast shifty guy who was damn near a 5 star recruit. Steve Breaston was a 4 star. This is a return to Rich Rod skill position recruiting and you know it.
I think what we know, is that you are a blowhard.
Of course I'd much rather have higher rated prospects that multiple sites and schools have evaluated and confirmed are excellent. But I'm just a poster on this blog. I can't do jack about it. Nor can you. What I can do is support whoever is in our class and not make a big deal every single time someone crystal balls a lower rated prospect. I want on field results. Whether that comes with 5* recruits or 0* recruits.
My biggest question is, WHY DO PEOPLE RESPOND TO THIS CLOWN? He thrives off of the rhetoric, and people keep feeding the beast.
And why try to talk sense into him when you've already learned thats not possible? this is really fascinating.

The difference is Harbaugh has a reputation as being a great talent evaluator. Look at what he did with poor recruiting classes at Standford. He has earned the right to recruit the talent he thinks is going to win games. If he doesn't win games with his players than be critical. Otherwise you sounds like a mental case worrying about crap that hasn't happened yet. Let's celebrate the kids that want to come here.

Love how Big 10 fans always say the Pac-12 is inferior. In the last decade, the Pac-12 has a winning record against Big 10 teams. Last year, the conference went 5-2 against the Big 10. And let's not even discuss the Rose Bowl record. Get over yourself.

I know we blame the old coaches and win totals for our recruiting troubles but I think it’s fair to question the new recruiting staff that came in last year (Dudek and others). I can’t remember when they came in but it seemed to coincide with our recruiting troubles.
I hesistate to criticize since I’m not exactly sure what they do but could a poster with more knowledge shed some light on this?

They're basically in charge of setting up recruiting visits and making sure that everything goes smoothly on the day of the visit. As far as I know, most people are happy with Dudek and how he has set up Michigan visits. I'm not sure who else has come in. Sam Webb has said though that Michigan was harmed by the amount of turnover they had because a lot of the relationships fell through and it's taken a while to build it all up again. People like Gwen Bush and Tony Tuioti played a part in connecting with players and it seems the transition to the next people at that position didn't go super smooth.

Well we missed on those kids. They want to go to different schools. My parents and older sister all went to Michigan State, that didn't stop me from wanting to go to Michigan. The staff can only do so much to convince vain kids to come to our school. The biggest draw is on field success and nothing about that can change until September. I have faith that the staff put in full effort to get their first choices, but the best kids have lots of good options and we won't always be their first choice. The staff can't control everything.

SB you are just proving why you need to constantly recruit multiple 4 and 5 stars across classes. Kids won’t work out and kids will get hurt. The more you have the better off your program will be.
Totally, and you can add Nico Collins, DPJ, Oliver Martin, Tarik Black, Jason Avant, Steve Breaston, Adrian Arrington, Amara Darboh, and Mario Manningham as other 4 star WR's that we totally need more of.
I mean, when you have 3 star WR's like Gerald Robinson, Csonte York, Jaron Dukes, DaMario Jones, and Dj Williamson who needs 4 and 5 star WR's?!
