The "easy win" crowd has not watched UM football this year.  The only easy wins we had were in September.

KState lost to ND State (LOL)  but lost to Texas by 10, Ok State by 4, Baylor by 10, and Oklahoma by 10.  Throw out the ND State game (aka throw away the UM game vs Akron) and those are pretty decent losses.

If UM played Baylor would we lose by 10? OK state by 4?  Depends which UM shows up - if it was the ND or OSU Michigan yes.  If it was the Nebraska, Iowa, NW UM not even close.

This looks like a pick em game or KSU favored by 1-2.  Due to brand name the money will come in to michigan I am sure whatever the line is but this is no easy win.

This better serve as motivation for the players and staff next season. Laughable with the expectations they had and have every year.

in this game at all..Was planning on Going to Gator Bowl if we went but have No interest in this game what so ever...seems like a fitting end to a disastorous season...Team 134 will go down as one of the bigger disappointments ...I really feel like we have regressed for 2 years in a row and am no longer optomistic about Brady Hoke...

So gettng selected in a different bowl game would have changed this opinion?  I get that you aren't a fan of the bowl game Michigan got put in, but this is still the 7-5 team we saw all year.  Whatever bowl game we arbitrarily get put into shouldn't change how you view the season.  Also, you may have wanted the Gator bowl, but Michigan being what it is usually gets selected over other comparable win-loss teams and hence why we got selected ahead of Nebraska.  It may have given us a less than 'sexy' match-up for this bowl pick, but this type of bowl slotting is also what helped Michigan secure the Sugar bowl bid a few years ago.  Take the good with the bad.

I'm excited! I know it's not the best bowl but it means that I can actually go and support the team in person. The last big game I went to was the Alabama game and I'm thinking that this one will have a much better outcome

Two other games stand out to me.

8-4 Notre Dame going from the Championship game to playing 6-6 Rutgers in New York in the winter. Suck on that Domers.

Oregon vs Texas -   have fun Gerg

Shows you that this bowl game can be a launching pad to better things. Now, if we can only leave Al and Darrell out in the desert was a loooooooooooon walk after the game.

Horrible argument...how do you pull one year out of all the years we've been in bowls.

Why not pull whatever bowl we were in after the 96-97 season? That springboarded us to a national championship.

Very selective data.

2008? It was Lloyd Carr's last game and we got a new coach with a completely new system and lost our entire team from the year before.

Next year we return 90% of our team, have a solid recruiting class and the same coach will return. How in ANY way does that compare to 2008?

Well, MSU played in the 2012 Outback bowl, 2012 BWW Bowl, and are now going to the 2014 Rose Bowl.  We played in the 2013 Outback bowl, now playing in the 2013 BWW bowl, and so clearly we should book our tickets to Pasadena next year.

Great. I'm looking forward to staying up until 1:30am to watch Michigan take it to the wire and probably lose in a game in which they have 5 or 6 dozen chances to win handily, and then my kids will get me up at 6:30 like they do every morning. Can't wait.
