I mean, doesn’t he fit perfectly here? It’s the right spot in the draft, and he would add instant pass rush to the interior DL next to A’Shawn Robinson. I was really disappointed when that article came out a couple days ago with “sources” saying that the Lions “weren’t big fans of his game.” I mean wut? Otherwise...best player available.

04/17/2018 - 12:10pm ...

They might as well just get rid of them instead of gradually making it irrelevant.

04/10/2018 - 1:17pm ...

This post uses sound logic and evidence to make a clear, ironclad case in favor of Shea Patterson to be immediately eligible. It makes perfect sense.

So, how long before the NCAA denies it?

01/24/2018 - 10:21am Yeah...

That has to be a mistake. Probably doesn’t know those lists are public, and needs a social media primer. Otherwise, I mean, it’s got to violate some kind of rule right?

01/19/2018 - 6:04pm Founders.

Beer for beer, Founders wins my taste buds. Backwoods Bastard is exceptional. I’m a little behind the times though, having lived out of state for 5 years or so. All I can get is Founders and the occasional New Holland Dragon’s Milk. Fortunately for me though, California has no shortage of phenomenal breweries, and I’m a long day trip from Russian River BC. Mmmmmmm Pliny The Elder.

01/01/2018 - 9:11am Yeah.

Those are good points. But I guess recent history has me skeptical that they’ll find anyone better. Plus, if they find a guy who wants to force the team into a complete stylistic overhaul, as opposed to making some tweaks to a team that has some pieces to work with, they’re in for another brutal stretch of 5 win seasons. I’m not so sure it’s worth it.

01/01/2018 - 8:34am IDK

I kinda think he should’ve gotten another year? Dude had a pretty good record, went to the playoffs twice. Meh, it’s the Lions and it’s about as good as it ever gets with them. Meanwhile, the Lions are going to be competing with a lot of other teams for a coach, and I’m not exactly thrilled at the prospect of being yet another team that fails miserably playing Bill Belichick Coaching Tree Roulette. That loss to the Bengals was brutal though, and the run game was miserable even for a pass-oriented team. So whatever I guess.

I mean, I'm not sure what that means as far as Peter's future, but there is zero chance that was an accident. Yikes.

08/05/2017 - 7:54am ...

If we're going outside of Michigan players for comparisons, the player that comes to mind for me is Amari Cooper.

"For some context, this is still before Mitch McGary committed. Levert and Albrecht wouldn't commit until the following March. Brady Hoke hadn't coached a game as the head coach of Michigan yet."

09/26/2016 - 12:28pm ...

35 running plays in a row, for like infinity ypc if I remember right.

08/31/2016 - 2:03am That may be true...

But even then, Higdon the most talented RB on the team? Ehhh...

08/31/2016 - 12:24am ...

Cool nugs. But, I have a really hard time believing that Karan Higdon is the strongest back on the team. De'Veon Smith is built like a brick shithouse and has about 20-30 lbs on him.

08/30/2016 - 6:47pm i dont know you guys

I think I'm going to go with Rolovich on this.  Just hear me oupppfffhhhHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

08/11/2016 - 12:38pm Hmm.

I think by "starting at safety" Partridge meant "beginning his career at safety." Pretty sure MNB misinterpreted that quote.

07/31/2016 - 6:25pm ...

Looks like Draymond is really taking that finals loss...

07/06/2016 - 12:42am Humboldt Crabs.

I live in Eureka, CA, which is very near the Humboldt Crabs...the longest continually operating collegiate summer league baseball team in the nation. No major league affiliations, and they keep their roster stocked with college guys who are off for the summer. It's cheap, it's weird, and the stadium is always packed. Also, they have a nightmare-inducing mascot.  What's not to like?

06/10/2016 - 8:57pm An underrated park...

Guadalupe Mountains NP in southwest Texas. McKittrick Canyon in the first week of November has some of the most unique and beautiful scenery I've ever seen...like a slice of Vermont in the desert. Not the biggest park ever, and prepare to do some desert hiking with no water sources. Worth it, though.

05/12/2016 - 7:21pm Meh...sort of.

I didn't follow the diet plan to the letter, but I did set a calorie cap and tried to make sure a reasonable percentage of those calories came from protein.  If you aren't trying to GET SWOLL, BRO, you don't need to eat 10 chicken breasts every day to get the protein you need. Food is incredibly important in the whole process, though, so don't slack off on that aspect.  You can work out until you're blue in the face, but you probably won't lose the weight you want if you eat like shit.

05/10/2016 - 11:51pm P90x

If you follow through on the whole thing, you'll definitely see results. Not because there is anything special about the stuff they do, but because you'll be doing an intense workout an hour and a half a day, 6 days a week. Lots of routines will have the same effect if you do put that much time and consistent effort into it. The problem with it, and any video routine, is that they don't really set you up for long term success once they end. That kind of intensity is hard to maintain. Case in point, I lost like 25 lbs doing p90x, and promptly gained it all back within 6 months because I had no plan for what to do afterward. I've since been more consistent with working out, but that is my cautionary tale. So, if you can avoid that problem, go for it. It'll kick your ass but you'll be in better shape at the end of it.

04/14/2016 - 11:32pm Welp.

The man certainly knows his audience.

04/11/2016 - 5:59pm Yeah...

The more I read it, the more I think that's probably true.

04/11/2016 - 5:33pm ...

I mean, I could be wrong here, but are we sure this is directed at Harbaugh and not the NCAA itself? Or something else? That is so vague I honestly have no idea what the hell he is referring to.

02/05/2016 - 11:49pm ...

Kentucky moved to California?

02/04/2016 - 10:05pm So strange.

When you're 18 years old, "when you were growing up" is like, 5...maybe 10 years prior.  That length of time feels like a century when you're that young.  Now I feel like I've had farts go on longer than 5 years.

02/04/2016 - 6:43pm Man.

We are one Willie Henry away from having a full-blown Scrooge McDuck vault of defensive lineman.

01/31/2016 - 5:21pm me irl
01/22/2016 - 12:13pm Hey.

Don't saddle me with that kind of guilt.  It's just an expression.

01/12/2016 - 11:04pm WOOOOOOOOOOO.

That should boost the ol' tourney resume.

12/06/2015 - 4:02pm ...

This seems like a pretty even matchup, both in terms of overall strength of the teams and style of play.  I approve.

12/02/2015 - 2:17pm Greg Mattison.

When it was announced that Greg Mattison was retained by Harbaugh, I had assumed that it was mostly because he still had one year remaining on his contract, and that there was a high likelihood that he would retire at the end of this season.  Am I correct here, or does he still have more time on the contract?

11/28/2015 - 6:58am Wake up y'all, it's gameday.

I am rounding out the tail end of a night shift on the west coast and will be staying up to watch the game after work. The Game requires certain sacrifices. Now get your asses out of bed, east coasters, it's fucking game day.

11/26/2015 - 6:19am ...

You may be thinking of Mike Vrabel.

11/23/2015 - 8:42pm Still worth it.

Still worth it.

11/22/2015 - 10:39pm Dammit.

Yours was even animated, too.  I am defeated.

11/22/2015 - 10:38pm Obligatory

11/19/2015 - 6:45pm Sore loser for sure.

Especially early in the year, and when Michigan is good enough to have high level bowl or championship aspirations. I sulked haaaaard after this year's MSU game.

11/11/2015 - 10:21am ...

Fuck you, cancer.

11/09/2015 - 12:30am ...

That was an awesome win, and the Reggie/Drummond combo is going to be lethal all year.  Marcus Morris and KCP have been pleasnt surprises, too.  The bench is brutally thin with the loss of Meeks and Jennings, though, and they'll need someone to step up and provide useful minutes once in a while.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons make a move later in the year if it looks like Jennings' recovery is moving more slowly than anticipated.  Hell, they might make a move anyway considering that there really isn't a viable 5 on the bench that can spell Drummond.  38.4 minutes per game will catch up to the big fella by the end of the year.

11/01/2015 - 12:18am ...

I won't lie to you all, when Speight went in, and stayed in, after Rudock's injury, I thought we were done.  I am kind of ashamed, actually.  Glad he proved me wrong, even though I probably didn't deserve it.  Most impressive to me was his pocket awareness.  I don't know if I ever saw his head pivot more than 10 degrees to either side while he was in the pocket, but nonetheless he seemed like he had that inate sense of when things were closing in around him.  Not bad, kid.

10/19/2015 - 7:42pm oh snap.

poor, poor Minnesota.  Show no mercy.

a.k.a.... The New Math.

09/30/2015 - 11:37pm I disagree.

I really believe that Lewis is the best player on defense, based on what we've seen so far.  Peppers' athleticism does allow the defense to do some extra things, but he has shown weaknesses in certain areas.  Lewis has been lights out from start to finish.

09/30/2015 - 5:47pm Jourdan Lewis

Man.  What does that guy have to do to get people outside of Ann Arbor to notice him?  He is the best player on the defense and the only person anyone talks about is Peppers, who, for all of his Peppers-ness, still has a ways to go before being the definitive GOAT.  Maybe Peppers is just an elaborate decoy to hide Lewis from opponents and NFL scouts?
