Its been real Timmy, it's been real.
I'll always have Tim in that small group of guys that brought Michigan basketball back. Best of luck THJ!
A great example of a Michigan Man.
Good luck in the NBA.
We've loved having you here. And you're way up there in the all-time career points for Michigan players. Here's hoping you make the first round.
I just hope McGary and GRIII stay. I wish THJ my best- as he was one of the key players that helped turn this team around. I hope he stays connected to the program, gets drafted, and does well in the pros. Thanks Tim!
You will be missed. 2 of 4 down. Will we lose more... I hope not...
Go Blue!
He and Burke are the first guys in years who could say that...I wish him the best but wish he'd stayed.
Excellent point. That's awesome!
best of luck to him. i think he could have improved his stock next year as the alpha dog, but such is life. heres to hoping GR3 and McGary stay.
Good for him, while it obviously sucks to lose players early it's great to see Michigan producing NBA talent. I hope Beilein and Co. use that hard on the recruiting trail. Timmy is one of the original players who were the building blocks that have elevated our program, I will miss him next year!
Well, if it helps....The kids and I ran into Spike at the Spring game and I asked if he was going pro. His response? "God, No." Good Luck to Tim!
Kate Upton at the Spring game or did he go stag? If I was him, I would have gone solo. Kate's cute and all but if you're Spike, you need to play the field a little before being tied down in a boring relationship with a supermodel.
He was in section 41 with Caris and GRIII.
I will miss yelling at you not to shoot and then celebrating when you make it.
Good Luck, Timmy Jr.
But I has sad.
and Auburn Hills....
The Hardaway 3 point barrage on OSU:
He straight up flew on that 1st dunk. Eye level with the rim dude!
NBA likes that!
I mean, the whole good luck thing and thanks for the memories, and I really mean it and every thing, I really do, but I am not ready for this team to be history yet. I am afraid that was a domino that could not fall.
I'm going to miss scouring post game photo albums for pictures of you screaming. Go get it in the Association.
Is that GR3 and McGary would be drafted far ahead of Hardaway. Don't even want to think about that prospect.... Good Luck to Tim wherever he winds up.
GR3 being higher is kind of a head scratcher to me. He still hasn't shown that he can create for himself and others or play defense, both of which Hardaway can do. Mcgary I can kind of understand even if I would have probably laughed at the idea of him going pro a month ago. They draft big guys crazy high for no reason all the time.
I agree with your point regarding his defensive play. Offensively, however, I think a guy like GR3 really only has trouble creating at the college level because of the more cramped floor dimensions as opposed to those in the NBA.
If you bothered to use your eyes and brain, you would have seen that this was posted on the board at 12:55 PM.
Doesn't matter. A separate thread did not need to be made. Just post in the other thread that Tim announced it.
With 5 seniors graduating, last years attrition, and Burke and Hardaway leaving, should I be worried about depth? Especially with McGary and Robinson being unknowns at this point and only 3 guys coming in.
Worst case scenario has only 5 guys who played any meaningful minutes last year. Hold me John Beilien and tell me it will be okay.
I wouldn't worry too much about depth right now. If McGary and Robinson both leave (which I don't think they will), UM still would have a solid 8 man rotation (Walton, Spike, LeVert, Stauskas, Irvin, Morgan, Horford, and Donnal/Bielfeldt). Most high-major programs do not have much more than a 7 or 8 man rotation, so I don't think depth should be a concern right now.
One of the WORST part of college basketball is the fact that the NBA lures kids into thinking of $$$ vs. working on their games. I hope I am wrong ... but to me he (like Morris and Manny) could have used another year of college ball.
Goi Blue!
For his sake I hope this turns out to be a good decision and he has a long, succes
sful run in the NBA.I'll certainly miss seeing him in a Michigan uniform.
Go TIMMMMAAAAAY!
Best of Luck at the next level.
young man! Hope you find a team at the next level!
Represented the university with class and heart
Best wishes for his future career
Thanks, Tim!
any way we can offer tim hardway's hat a scholarship? by my math, he still has 4 years of eligibility left...
I question the Hat's defensive abilities.
Have you seen the way he stick's to his man? It's like he's glued on
2nd round pick to Miami..
