Sets up nicely for a basketball/hockey doubleheader (4:35 puck drop).

While I know that Saturday is one ticket, I have a feeling that more MSU fans would stay AFTER their game to boo us and be typical assholes but I have a good feeling that less will come before halftime of our game. But I have a good feeling that we'll play well regardless. Hail!
I think MSU fans will come in the second half to root for VCU, arriving early for their own game. More likely than them sticking around for 30 mins between games and then two hours for Mich-VCU, especially if they lose to Memphis.
Either way I trust we'll be ready to play whether it is with a home court advantage or a neutralized home court with MSU fans joining VCU in the second half.
Spartan fans are not going to leave any bar earlier than they have to, especially so early in the day. Michigan fans had better be more into it on Saturday than we were on Thursday. I was very underwhelmed by our cheering.

Aaaaaaaaand that's when I have an exam. Argh.
Hopefully 5 more.
I have an important soccer game that day at Noon (it's central so I can see maybe the first 15 minutes of the first half). Does anyone know where I can watch the game after the fact?
The official NCAA tourney website has an option to watch the game replays. Great, right? Except where you click "Replay" is right above the game score with the winning team highlighted, so you can't find it unless you want to know who won. Any help?
You gotta have someone click that for you. If you don't have anyone else at your house to do it for you, you have to watch it at someone else's house.
Done.
For a minute there, it looked like you said "you gotta have someone dick that for you". Glad I re-read that. "Here buddy, dick this for me..."

Spoken like a true West Coaster.
Okinawa time. All nighter for hoops!!
that'll be a quick turnaround for me... work until 7am EDT.
better seize the opportunity and just start drinking extra early.
I work Friday night as well. Short few hours of sleep and then I think I'm going to the game. It'll be worth it!
For me, the problem this presents is a conflict with my son's belief that all Power Rangers Samurai episodes should be in high definition. The streak may have to end on Saturday through the use of careful negotiation....also, Chicken McNuggets.
An evening time slot works better around family time, but I can make this work as well (this weekend anyway).
My conflict would be Team Umizoomi. I mean Math is important but... I will use Hotwheels as leverage.
Oh and he demands HD? I use to have to turn a dial on my TV so I could get a clear picture in for Thundercats and it wasn't always a sure fire way. Fuzz and Thundercats were the norm and I loved it.
a nice congrats to Tommy Amaker. Always thought the guy was a class act.
Thought for sure we'd be the second game based on yesterday's schedule. I wonder what the rational is in putting Michigan/VCU first.
the 12:15 slot is better or worse for TV revenue? I would think, with Michigan having a solid West Coast following, that it would be better to have Michigan start at 3:00 versus 12:15.
Bingo.
The 12:15 Saturday game is the only one broadcast at that time. Games in SLC and San Jose obviously are not going to be played at 9:15 AM. That left a choice of UM-VCU, MSU-Memphis, Louisville-CSU, or Oregon-St. Louis. They went with the one they thought would draw the most interest and highest ratings.
lacrosse games at 11:30, 1 and 2:30 and then a 3 1/2 hour bus trip home. Saturday will be a large data use day.
I am looking to unload some tickets if anyone is looking. I'm hoping to get $100 each for a pair of upper level, row 4 tickets and I'd rather make sure they go to a Michigan fan rather than a Spartan. If you are interested and can pick them up in Ann Arbor, feel free to respond and I'll shoot you an email.
Why would we play the late game on Thursday and then the early game on Saturday? That seems backwards.
Ratingz, I'm sure. The Michigan-VCU game is going to be a huge draw and a great way to kick off Saturday.
are you watching Dave Brandon???!!!
They played later, so advantage us...right?
Oh, they're 18-22 year olds?
Nevermind.
Our guys played a lot of minutes too, but they should have enough time to recover. One things for sure, you better not have tired legs against VCU.
Sparty will be out in force, no big deal though. VCU was more than impressive last night, I love what they do on the basketball floor. I think Burke controlling the pace will be the key to victory, we'll be tempted to get into the helter skelter pace they want us in, but we have to control the break and take layups and dunks rather than 3 pointers off from it.
It's going to be a tough game, I know we like to run, but you have to run smart and not let things get out of control, that's what they want. VCU also plays all 12 guys with 11 of them averaging at least 7 minutes a game, they want to wear teams down that choose to run with them. Bottom line, if we play their pace, we will have a hard time keeping up in the 2nd half.

...or fewer turnovers, VCU loses (see http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/vcu-and-turnovers-how-beat-rams) As Michigan fans, we are conditioned to fear the worst. Things could certainly go sour against VCU but, on paper, I like the match up.

If you get laid on prom night, is that the trifecta?
