2012 Season Record Prediction Thread
As the name would suggest, this thread is for your season record predictions for 2012. Feel free to predict the record for other teams besides Michigan.
My predictions:
Michigan 11-1
Notre Dame 6-6 (or 7-5, I haven't decided yet)
MSU 8-4
Ohio 9-3
Yeah, I'll drink that Kool-Aid.

14-0, obvsly
August 30th, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
August 30th, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
14-0 is the best case senario, 14-0 is probably more realistic, and 14-0 is the worst case senario.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:39 PM ^
Utra-low variance. I like it.
August 30th, 2012 at 9:45 PM ^
We run the table and Denard wins the Heisman.

August 30th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
It will be Kiffin, and we will make him cry.
August 30th, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
I think we will be 11-2 going into the Bowl Game.
Win division, win BCG
August 30th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
Michigan 10-2
ND 6-6
MSU 10-2
Ohio State 9-3
August 30th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
14-0 for us, 1-11 for ND (beat MSU), 1-11 for OSU (beat MSU), and 0-12 for MSU
August 30th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
9-3.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:42 PM ^
Even when we try and lose to ND, they start throwing backwards passes and give us the game.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:12 PM ^
9-3 is our record. MSU will go 9-3. tOSU will go 10-2. ND will go 6-6 starting the season 0-4!
August 30th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
Did you see that game last year? They're too nice in Lincoln.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
Denard breaks all kinds of career records - my season record prediction for 2012.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
13 -1
August 30th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
Michigan 10-2/10-3 (loss in B1G to Wiscy)
ND 7-5
MSU 8-4
Ohio 9-3
August 30th, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
9-5
I have a bad feeling we lose at Notre Dame, and against Alabama. We are due to lose to Notre Dame at some point after the last 3 years. I think we drop two big 10 games along the way but win the tiebreaker and end up winning the Big Ten title after beating Wisconsin. We lose to USC in Rose Bowl. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up better than this, and would be surprised if we end up much worse.
The bottom line is the schedule is brutal. I think we will probably be better than last year but with a worse record. I am very confident we beat Sparty in Ann Arbor.

hope your not a season ticket holder
Go Blue!
August 30th, 2012 at 3:44 PM ^
I had this feeling as well until they lost Lynch and Lo Wood.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
Michigan: 9-3
MSU: 9-3
Ohio: 8-4
ND: 7-5
We take the tie-breaker over MSU and have a shot at the Rose in the B1G championship.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
9-3
Losses to Alabama, Notre Dame, and Nebraska.
Notre Dame 8-4
MSU 8-4
Ohio 10-2
Heisman: Barkley
BCS NC: USC vs Alabama
August 30th, 2012 at 4:08 PM ^
ND 8-4 is cray

I was just too lazy to write it out.
I'm looking for MSU to have a 4 loss season, including a loss to the Chips
August 31st, 2012 at 1:49 AM ^
So what are you majoring in at CMU?
August 30th, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
9-3. Bama, ND, and one of the two of Nebraska-OSU. 8-4 if we lose both, 10-2 if we can beat ND.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
I have Michigan going 10-3. Lose the bookends and lose to Nebraska in a weird game away from home. MSU also loses 2 in conference (one to us and one to Ohio) but we go to the B1G Championship game due to the tie breaker. Beat Wisconsin in a not-so-close game.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:56 PM ^
But none spelled it out as clearly as you have, so for anyone who has us winning the tie-breaker vs. MSU (possible, not questioning) who do you all have Nebraska losing to? Do they lose 3 times in conference, or is there some long 3 way tiebreaker you think we win if we're not beating Nebraska? I can see OSU and MSU which would set up a three way tie...do they blow one more?
(Came SO close to typing " which would set up a three way...do they blow one more?")
August 30th, 2012 at 4:13 PM ^
Nebraska will lose at least 3 B1G games.
2 almost certain losses: @MSU and @OSU
And at least 1 loss from: Wisconsin, UM, @N'Western, @Iowa
My predictions (I am only picking regular season):
UM 8-4 (losses: Bama, @ND, @Nebraska and @OSU) --- still make the B1G championship game
MSU 10-2 (losses: @Wisconsin and @Michigan)
Nebraska 8-4 (losses: Wisconsin, @MSU, @OSU and @Iowa)
Wisconsin 11-1 (loss: PSU...yes, you read that right)
OSU 10-2 (losses: @MSU and @Wisconsin)
August 30th, 2012 at 4:19 PM ^
I think Nebraska will be pretty similar as last year and lose 3...maybe 4 (!) conference games.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
I predict UM goes 9-3, with the losses coming against Alabama, Nebraska, and SUNO-Columbus. But I do think UM will qualify for the B1G title game and knock off Wisconsin to earn a Rose Bowl trip. I don't like our chances against either USC or Oregon though, so that would make for, overall, a deceptively respectable 10-4 record.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
Michhigan 11-1
BWC is on a mission.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
Win national championship game against Alabama.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^
That would be awesome, especially if we lose the home opener to them, but something tells me that would not happen because BCS rematches only happen in the POWERHOUSE SEC.
Wish I was /s...
August 30th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
I'm going to be the pessimist here and say 9-4.
Bama-L, AF-W, UMass-W, ND-W, Purdue-L (we always drop a game we shouldn't), Illinois-W, State-W, Nebraska-L, Minnesota-W, Northwestern-W, Iowa-W, Ohio State-L, Bowl Game-W
Nebraska actually wins the Legends Division and faces Wisky in the Big 10 Championship.
State finishes 8-4 losing to Boise, us, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.
Ohio finishes 10-2 with losses to State and Wisky
We go to the Capital One Bowl and beat Georgia.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
August 30th, 2012 at 3:57 PM ^
We haven't had a world of success in South Bend, and Nebraska is always a hard place to play. Unless you're Northwestern, apparently.

11-3. Go Blue!
August 30th, 2012 at 3:54 PM ^
I keep seesawing between 9-3 and 8-4. The schedule is just too hard and we're still too thin at some critical positions, namely OL and DL. One injury could mean doom.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:55 PM ^
out of the team and Denard anyway.
August 30th, 2012 at 3:57 PM ^
9 - 4
August 30th, 2012 at 3:57 PM ^
I see losses to Alabama, Nebraska, and MSU, and a loss to either ND or OSU simply because those are both away.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
Can't see a loss vs MSU. Last year MSU was better than this year, and that was when Borges was very early in assessing how to use Denard in the BiG. Cousins was a tremendous QB and is now gone. And we have them at home. And it's our most important game of the year.
We will win this game.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
Week 1 at Alabama: W (I cannot bring myself to predict a loss. I think it will be closer than ppl think regardless of outcome)
Week 2 v Air Force: W
Week 3 v UMass: W
Week 4 at ND: W (After which we are ranked in the top 5 nationally)
Week 5 at PUR: W
Week 6 vs ILL: W
Week 7 vs MSU: W (MSU is either undefeated or has 1 loss heading into this game. After this win we are a top 3 team nationally)
Week 8 at NEB: L (Let down game against a team who we embarrased last year in a tough road environment)
Week 9 at MIN: W
Week 10 vs NW: W
Week 11 vs Iowa: W
Week 12 at OSU: W (I am scared of this game but I cannot bring myself to predict a loss)
Nebraska loses to MSU and one or two other games (Ohio and/or WIS most likely) which sends us to the BIG championship game (I think?).
Michigan at. WIS: W.
We go to the Rose Bowl! Yay for optimism!
Other teams of note:
ND: 6-6
MSU: 9-3
Ohio: 9-3
August 30th, 2012 at 4:04 PM ^
If we go 12-1 with this schedule, we'd most likely be in the championship game.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
Even better, but if USC goes undefeated and an SEC team has one loss I wouldn't be shocked to see us left out.
