This one is a 2 year whiskey.
Many of his others are an "accelerated 6 months" which typically means using smaller barrels / casks compared to traditional models to mature the whiskey more quickly without sacrificing quality

Can you make please live in-state for football season and then move out every year for basketball?

The rest of us would really appreciate that.

Eli and Peyton both have a good sense of humor.  I was never a fan of them as players, but have grown to appreciate them in their post-playing career.

You are thinking too small.

If you being in school is related to Michigan beating OSU, then I think you should be in school for the next 20 years at least.

And congratulations on your doctorate.

Thanks for putting this together, this is great.  I really appreciate you doing this for all of us to enjoy.

Sports reporters (and in…

Sports reporters (and in fact many people) never let facts get in the way of a good narrative.  The 32 straight runs vs. Penn State colored their entire view of the whole season.

I'm 99% Michigan.

I decked out my basement bar with signed Michigan pictures (football and basketball), a signed Desmond Howard jersey, a helmet signed by Denard, etc.

As far any gems to share, I have a trading card signed by Cazzie Russell, an old picture signed by Al Wistert, and a mock basketball floor parquet tile signed by a bunch of the members of the 2012 - 2013 team right before the Championship game (e.g., Trey Burke, John Beilein, Tim Hardaway Jr., Caris LeVert, Glenn Robinson III, John Horford, etc.).

Yeah, I've been to a game and would love to go to another.  Lots of fun, even more so than your typical minor league team.

And I am a proud owner of a Savannah Bananas hat, which I wear quite often.

Maybe it's just me, but this whole thing is a bit weird.

Chugging beer off a catfish?

Encouraging your little kid to chug?  (Albeit water)

I don't know, maybe I've finally reached the "get off my lawn" age.

I totally agree with this -…

I totally agree with this - when I was part of the team in charge of campus recruiting for a Fortune 500, we bypassed all the Northeast and CA "elite" schools and instead focused on places like Michigan, Texas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, etc.

We did this, right or wrong, based on our belief (after years of seeing Harvard / Wharton students flame out or come in with absurd expectations) was that we could get equally smart, but harder working people coming from the upper tier state schools.

Welcome aboard CJ!  And…

Welcome aboard CJ!

And please note that our last CJ got 2 long touchdowns in the '22 season versus OSU, so hopefully you can do that too.

Totally agree, but the hurdle is awesome.

There is a small private…

There is a small private school down here in Atlanta (Oglethorpe College) that also has an interesting program called the Flagship 50.

Basically they say that if you meet certain academic criteria, then your tuition would be the in-state cost of the "flagship" school from every state (e.g., if you are from Michigan, then your tuition would be the UM in-state tuition because of course they designated UM the flagship program from the state of Michigan).

Despite not getting all the glamorous rankings, Oglethorpe is a very good school in a great part of Atlanta.  I highly recommend it for those looking for an affordable small college experience.

It has gotten truly insane…

It has gotten truly insane out there regarding college admissions.  I went to a very good liberal arts school for undergrad and I doubt I would be able to afford it today.

All this makes me truly grateful that we moved to Georgia when we did.  It is one of the few states that actually put their lottery money into college education for their high school students through scholarships that either pay all (e.g., the Zell-Miller scholarship) or most (e.g., the HOPE scholarship) of your tuition at an in-state school depending on your high school GPA.  This includes Georgia Tech, where my older son is attending at $0 tuition.  The other states around us are starting to take notice and are starting to match the GA scholarships as well.

I hope more and more states do this.  It has been great for the kids (i.e., pretty much every GA kid who does well in high school is guaranteed a spot at one of the state schools), the state (more kids staying local for school and then for work, which builds up the job applicant pool and GA economy), and the schools (e.g., UGA was a party school back when I was applying to college, now it is a very respectable school climbing the rankings, currently #47 compared to UM's #21 and Georgia Tech's #33).

The thing that annoyed me…

The thing that annoyed me the most about that play though was that we lined up to run the play, then there was a timeout called, and we came out and lined up to run the exact same play.

And we had run that same play earlier in the game.

Poor coaching on our part, OSU knew exactly what we were going to do and aligned themselves to stop it.

College football is rapidly…

College football is rapidly moving in a direction that I think they can't even control.  And it feels to me like it less and less has anything to do with the schools they supposedly represent.

I wonder what happens when they get too far away from their core and simply become another USFL (or whatever the hell they are calling it these days).

I guess it's smart of the Chargers to try and go all-in and latch onto the Michigan fanbase.  Especially since they really don't have a fanbase of their own right now.

It is definitely not high at all.  They lost a lot of their remaining support when they moved to LA.

I am still stunned by that pick. Not a Falconss fan but I live outside Atlanta. I’ve been to a few games over the years, no way I’m buying tickets to see Cousin Penix.

I tend to think the best guys out there to evaluate an NFL quarterback are current and former NFL quarterbacks.
