How good is the incoming…

How good is the incoming hockey recruiting class? Which players could be difference makers next year? Will we have to go to the portal again for a goalie?

Did you see his commitment…

Did you see his commitment post!? It shows stacks of cash and money raining down! Yikes.

My hot take is that it was…

My hot take is that it was Michigan's response to the knuckleheads who thought stealing signs was why Michigan became dominant. Here's what we are going to do and you can't stop it!

A Gopher friend of mine…

A Gopher friend of mine mentioned that Fantilli told Anaheim not to draft him. I can't find anything about that. Has anyone else heard this?

...and hurdled a fool!

11-1!  I hearby dub thee …

11-1!  I hearby dub thee "The Spinal Tap Game!"

I saw that! Ridiculous!

I like when it's called the Michigan,  it drives my friends in Minneapolis crazy and has to help with recruiting!

I couldn't help but read your comment with this Steve Earle song playing in my mind. F the CC!  You wrote a new line to his song!https://youtu.be/B2rygAhcgcI

The first two games I attend…

The first two games I attend were terrible disappointments.

The first game I saw Harbaugh broke his arm against MSU in a loss.

The next game I attended Michigan was 9-0, ranked #1, and lost to  Minnesota on a last second FG.

Plus the #13 overall pick,…

Plus the #13 overall pick, Nazar, who has been out all season. It's a shame these two teams aren't playing at full strength given the elite talent on both teams.

I moved to Minneapolis in …

I moved to Minneapolis in '99. It was a pizza desert; mostly the super thin crust cut in little squares.

I live 2 blocks from Parkway, it's  good, but there are, fortunately many better. Try Young Joni, Cossetta's in St Paul for NYC style, and Wrecktangle for Detroit style.

I would use it for NIL deals…

I would use it for NIL deals for Michigan football athletes to help  defeat OSU 42-27 as frequently as possible!

Seth, I greatly appreciate…

Seth, I greatly appreciate and enjoy the podcasts. Thanks for all your hard work that you and the entire MgoBlog staff put in. The quality of the blog is incredible! We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy this blog!

Go Blue!

On the back we could add 42…

My favorites were bullying…

My favorites were bullying OSU in the tunnel at half time and the scoreboard as time ran out. I believe  it read 42-27.

We should  have them for at…

We should  have them for at least one year. After that, all bets are off.

This would be the time to change the name of the Edmund Pettus bridge, which is named in honor of an early KKK leader, to the John Lewis bridge.

Hailey Victoria!

Hailey Victoria for the girl; or, Hale for the boy, Victoria for the girl!

I'm all for legal ways for…

I'm all for legal ways for these kids to get money, I just hope that the program never stoops to SEC levels of paying piles-of-money for recruits. I'm currently reading a biography of Churchill and Orwell. I am struck by Orwell's commitment to the truth, regardless of whether it contradicts his political views. Perusing comments on 11 W's site these past couple of weeks was a striking counter example to all Orwell held dearly. I would hope I, and the Michigan fan base, would not react in a similar manner if a similar scandal hit Michigan.

 "Every major recruit is…

"Every major recruit is getting paid under the table."

Brian, does this include our major recruits? I've always believed that Michigan football has not done this. Please tell me there is no gambling at the casino!

I hope not. He has so much…

I hope not. He has so much potential! Hopefully for him and the team, we get to see him dominate before his time is up!

Klaus is a moron who knows only what he reads in the NY Post

Dylan

Surprised how few Dylan comments so far. As great as his earlier work is, Time out of Mind, Love & Theft, and Modern Times may stand up as his best work. Now, If he would just quit releasing Christmas albums and covering Frank Sinatra and record another classic or two while he still can, the world would be grateful!

Keef, Charlie, et al

Those 3 albums have to be the top of this list. Add Beggars Banquet for the run of four and it really is a staggering collection of great songs that define rock n' roll.

The Replacements run of Hootenany, Let it Be, and Tim would also be near the top of my list.

Tim Carroll

Don't miss the legendary Tim Carroll. He's a great song writer and guitarist who always puts on a great show. He plays the 5 Spot in E. Nashville every Friday, I believe from 6-9PM.

He started in a punk band in Indiana, then moved to NYC where he led the amazing Blue Cheiftains in pioneering what many would call alt-country. He then moved to Nashville to pursue and was signed to a major deal by Sire before they collapsed and couldn't release his big label debut. He works tirelessly and deserves every fan he gets. Highly respected in Nashville.

Here's an early country classic of his that's been covered by John Prine, among others.

Gordie Howe's last goal

At age 52,with an assist from his son, he blasted a backhander past the goalie from well past the face-off circle. Wow!

Check out the highlight on the link below.

Poor Damn Billy Sims

That Metrodome turf cost Billy Sims his career. He was unbelievable. Shame he didn't get a longer career.

Two-Four?

How many beers in a Two-Four?

.....None for you, eh!

He attends Cretin Derham

He attends Cretin Derham Hall, a well known Catholic school here in Minnesota. They have produced some impressive athletes including Paul Molitor, Joe Mauer, Chris Weinke, Seantrell Henderson, Steve Walsh, and Michael Floyd.

A terrible decision

This will make it all the more enjoyable to beat them in a bowl game soon!

Benton Harbor?

I grew up spending my summers near Traverse City.  There are some amazing places, the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Petoskey, Charlevoix, et al....But I recently took a trip from Minneapolis to New Hampshire.  Our family stopped in Benton Harbor and we were really impressed with the beaches there.  The sand was very fine and the water was warm!    The entire Lake Michigan coast is fantastic!

Yes!

Far too few Napolean D. references on the blog!
