1 year 33 weeks ago	I find it interesting how in	I find it interesting how in these pressers, nobody can complement Countess without Coach Hoke giving credit to Raymon Taylor as well.  That's great that he's earning the confidence of the coaching staff, but it would appear that he's not yet better at playing nickel than Carvin is at playing safety.

1 year 35 weeks ago	It's crazy to think about how	It's crazy to think about how the overall game atmosphere has changed, even since I went to school in the early 90's.  I remember the incessant drone of the airplanes with their advertising banners throughout the entire game (mostly Deja Vu and other gentlemen's clubs).  Also, if the band wasn't playing, you either had fans with their cowbells, or silence.  IME, the current gameday atmosphere just reflects on how the athletic department is catering to the ADHD demographic. In a somewhat related note, it's interesting to observe how Notre Dame's stadium resembles UM's from 10 years ago, with the tiny pressbox and minimalist scoreboards...

1 year 40 weeks ago	Nope	While these violations are egregious if true, the NCAA won't call for the death penalty, even if worse crimes end up surfacing.  It's unfortunate, because I see these types of scandals increasing in frequency in the current climate of out-of-control boosters and win-at-all-costs coaches.  At the end of the day, these transgressors have no reason to believe that the NCAA will actually come back with any punishment that approaches the severity of the crime.  Until a program gets hammered again in the manner of an SMU, you'll see these scenarios continue to play out every season.

Lived in West Quad back during my freshman year in '94.  One day, when returning from class, a buddy and I noticed an empty Subway cup sitting on the floor of the stairwell to Adams House.  As we approached the stairwell, we noticed that the cup was not empty, but rather filled with what appeared to be human excrement. At that moment, Jon Ritchie peeks his head around the corner, sees us looking at the cup in disgust, and giggles like a schoolgirl before running off.  We later wondered how many fellow students had discovered this "present" he left for passersby.
