That is incredibly not true. The list of rookie WR to top 1000 yards is not a long one. They have to learn massive playbooks, how to run precise routes, and how to deal with being jammed constantly. Even the best guys generally take a year or two to truly come into their own.

I would rather have them trade down in the first and focus on defense in the early rounds (unless Ebron is still available). WR is the hardest position to scout in the NFL. I think they would be better off taking Gallon and an outside guy in the later rounds. That would let them take someone like HaHa or CJ Mosely in the first and there should be talented CBs or a S left in the second. We just watched the Seahawks dismantle the best offense in years, I hope the Lions saw it too.

Since when is Pipkins a two sport athlete, let alone the time traveling?

What about when he turned the tides of the rivalary and those jerseys were selling like hot cakes, even in Ohio?

I can't help but feel that if they succeed in unionizing the end result will the athletes being exploited by a new group of people. The second the union is legalized they will be inundated by droves of lawyers, agents, consultants, etc all trying to maximize their own revenues.
I also forsee this thread turning political shortly.

I would say that it was a little of everything. The depth chart and experience level was obviously less than ideal. This problem was exacerbated by Borges not having a base run play and sticking with it so the young O-Line could focus on learning one thing.
I think if they had stuck with a base run package they could have become competent enough to force the defense to respect it, which in turn takes pressure off Gardner, which allows deeper routes, which prevents the shorter routes from constantly being jumped, which opens up the run game, which....
You'd think that Hoke and Mattison would have seen this coming.

Do we still have time to send them back? What is the return policy at the AAC? I suppose if worse comes to worse we can always regift them.

Wasn't this only his first or second year? Trading Trent Richardson seemed like a pretty savvy move to me, not to mention moving on from Brandon Weeden. I'm a Lions fan though, so what do I know?

I may or may not have switched a cap or two myself. Buying a premium keg there must have been a total crap shoot.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||Pieces||
Without looking up the full list, I do know the the Yanks have been pinching pennies lately. They have let several decent pieces walk lately, such as Swisher, instead of resigning them. It would make more sense if they were sticking to a plan, like say, getting under the tax or getting younger. They just seem like a ship with no rudder.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||Why?||
Why have they been letting FA's like Cano walk so they can get under the tax line, and then take on a big contract which makes it impossible to get under said tax line? This would make a lot more sense if they had been spending money the last two years.

2014 can't get here soon enough.

The problem is Monroe is a turnstile on defense, and Smith is horribly inefficient on the perimeter. They would be better off moving Monroe for a 2/3 who can knock down threes and play great defense.

Go forth and upvote!

That wouldn't even be fair. Borges would telegraph all of his punches - Mattison would know exactly what was coming. Things would get ugly quick

The issue was that he had arc on his short throws. Guys were open; the ball was on target often, but it took too long to get there. At least in my memory.

Its like he knows he will never be fired. Or that he is going to get canned after the game Saturday. Either way he is clearly thumbing his nose at everyone.
|20 weeks 6 days ago||Waiters||
The problem is that they didn't want to admit that they botched the Waiters pick so they passed on Oladipo.

If guns don't kill people, but people kill people; does that mean that toasters don't toast toast, but toast toasts toast?
|25 weeks 8 hours ago||Students||
If people don't like the way college students act then why don't they stay off campus? It doesn't make sense to begrudge those kids their brief window of time to have fun and be wildly innapropriate. If you were a model citizen during undergrad, then sorry you missed out. The opressive weight of the real world will start crushing their souls soon enough - let them have fun while they can.

They've shown that they are going to blow at least one game every year with asinine, stubborn play calling. What I want to see is a dynamic, opportunistic game plan next year. I want it to last all year too without the customary loss due to stubbornly insisting on being smash mouth.
|26 weeks 1 day ago||But they aren't trying something new.||
The issue is that the coaches aren't actually trying something new.
Something new would be passing out of formations with 3-5 eligible receivers to set up the run by forcing the defense to unload the box.
Something new would be implementing packaged plays combining a run or a quick pass option into one play.
Something new would be substituting a traditional run game with underneath routes or screens to Norfleet/Fitz/whomever can make a guy miss.
Replacing one guy on a shaky O-line and running power into 9 guys still in the box is NOT something new.

You could have answered all of these questions easily via Google. Just saying.

Mine was pretty bad. The mail person crammed it into my box all crumpled up next to the Ann Arbor Observer, which is too big to allow the lid to close. Soaking wet and beat up. Sad face.

I would just like to point out that Sullinger had a nice little triple-double tonight. That is all.
