Yes! We can root for Chaos…

Yes! We can root for Chaos scenarios now. I think the 7-way tie is dead, but a 4 or 5 way sounds good to me.

(Came here to post the same thing)

I know it won't happen, but…

I know it won't happen, but I wish we could collectively step back from blaming Ryan Day for the PR hit job, etc.

I agree it was almost definitely OSU led, and it would be hilarious if Day were behind it all,  but there are tons of boosters, coaches, and bloggers that are much more likely to be at the root of all this. I imagine Day has coaching and recruiting taking up most of his time, plus I don't see him as a mastermind of a smear campaign as effective as this has proven to be.

If Harbaugh had no idea what Stalions was up to (I believe this), then Day could easily know nothing, too. Football coaches aren't the omniscient gods everyone makes them out to be. At least I hope not, those are so weird ass dudes.

If true, how is this any…

If true, how is this any different than Stallions hiring unaffiliated "scouts"? The teams involved would have also "hired" in person scouts (other teams) with the payment being their own info instead of cash.

Yeah, I think you linked to…

Yeah, I think you linked to the wrong article. A new take on the lack of link in the post mistake.

I read the article, and it…

I read the article, and it seems to say it wasn't actually the board who leaked Tracy's name, in direct contrast with this post's title.

"Someone associated with the board" was the alleged leaker. The possibilities seem to be the school president, the AD, or an employee at OIE (unlikely).

FWIW, this is isn't a…

FWIW, this is isn't a definitive list of who's going to be in the team. There was an earlier, quickly deleted, version of the tweet that left out "wish list" and the making calls emoji. I think that's where some of incorrect certainty comes from.

Seems likely there will be a M team, but it's still very much unknown who will be on it.

Yes

Yes

Am I the only one who read…

Am I the only one who read the title and thought this post was about Barry Larkin getting to 2000 hits? Gonna guess yes.

Looks like he got there 22 years ago, so close enough to be a defensible thought, but Dec 21 was probably not the day he got the hit.

(The internet says it was August 21, so only four months off :/ )

Probably a couple checked…

Probably a couple checked bags and a carry on. Can get expensive fast.

I believe Harbaugh said on…

I believe Harbaugh said on one of the post game shows that Schoon is going pro.

Agreed. You can see him…

Agreed. You can see him restrained/pulled away up the tunnel by a couple teammates in the second video.

I lean toward passing…

I lean toward passing because both the QB and WR/TE/RB get credit for the yards in the box score. At a glance it 'feels' like more yards, since they're kinda double counted.

I know this not a good reason, but we're talking vibes here (I assume the question supposes the same final score either way).

However, if simple box scores included a UFR +/- CHART, my calculus would change.

I was also going to post the…

I was also going to post the opposite. For me, being able to easily slow down the clip to .5 or .25 speed makes a big difference in my ability to see what's going.

So that would put Penn St at…

So that would put Penn St at noon (UMD, Iowa, Indiana, Penn St) which means MSU is a night game? I don't know the contract details, but I thought two night games/yr is the general rule now.

Agreed. Came here to say the…

Agreed. Came here to say the same.

Thanks for sharing the laugh…

Thanks for sharing the laugh Seth.

The speed is great, but I…

The speed is great, but I don't think they've figured out the creation of space yet. Maybe this year with Edwards running routes out of the backfield, the full promise will be realized.

I don't live in MI, so B for me. More home games with cheap tickets is good for families with kids who are just becoming fans, though.

I just hope there's a…

I just hope there's a learning curve and OSU's defensive recruiting suffers for a couple years. (Yeah right. Wishful thinking. Anyone competent will win 95% of their games.)

Lol. Time to up my channel…

Lol. Time to up my channel surfing game during the hours of impending commercials.

Also, with the new TV rights…

Also, with the new TV rights deal, the athletic dept has the $ to make it happen. Games would be perfect filler for Peacock or Paramount +

It takes time to grow…

It takes time to grow support for new teams. The women's NCAA basketball tourny has seen ratings increase it's been promoted more. MLS wasn't a big deal when it started and now it's a thriving league with great attendence and teams building their own stadiums.

I'm nervous about him…

I'm nervous about him returning punta again, but he is good at it and the receiver depth chart is pretty talented, so hopefully it'll all work out for him.

Hopefully an expanded…

Hopefully an expanded playoff will help fix this. Maybe? It would be nice if there were some margin for error, ala basketball.

Every year its the same…

Every year its the same. Maybe more signage at big beaches describing how to swim out would help. Probably not.

The #1 vote for Texas is the best part of this.

Good to know. Glad it doesn…

Good to know. Glad it doesn't really matter. SP+ comes out this weekend, which I'll be much more interested in.

This is awesome. Just have…

This is awesome. Just have point out that teams can't sponsor athletes in their own sports (no UM baseball or softball players).

Don't forget to set aside…

Don't forget to set aside some time to puke a bunch (and hopefully rehydrate??) If you're on the Husker O-line.😉

I guess the world is very…

Of course, travel now is much easier in than it was decades ago, so who knows. Just curious how big societal changes have affected recruiting.

I guess the world is very…

I guess the world is very different than it was pre-2020, but it's still wild this is his first time meeting the team in person.

Too bad there won't be game…

Too bad there won't be game footage but at least the video of Yo-yo meeting everyone today was great.

Iowa vs MSU at the same…

Iowa vs MSU at the same number should be fun. Both overachieving teams from last year who got there in very different ways.

Does this destroy their DL…

Does this destroy their DL depth? There have to be several players in that group angling for a position switch. Smart move for anyone not a 4/5 star who doesn't have serious NFL aspirations.

Not perfect, but it's…

Not perfect, but it's getting better.

Does anyone know if SP+ team…

Does anyone know if SP+ team stat profiles or post game win expectancy % are available anywhere? I've only seen them referenced or tweeted out by Bill C on rare occasions since he moved to ESPN. (Good for him, bad for us.)

Thanks Ecky for putting these together every week.

I want to say "who cares?",…

I want to say "who cares?", but clearly a lot of y'all really, really do.

1. Alex doesn't make the Mich part of the chart, so please actually read his FFFF. They're good!

2. It literally doesn't matter who is cyan/starred. Heck, maybe Cade reads MGoBlog (lol) and is pissed, so he'll work harder (He's definitely not self-motivated. Nope. He needs that Sparty Disrepkt to reach his full potential.)

3. I personally don't think the Cyan is justified, but I also know almost nothing about football schematics, so I'm probably wrong. Seth is great and knows WAY more about this than us plebs do. Entertaining an opinion that's contrary to your own won't actually hurt you and might even make you smarter. (Unless we're talking politics, of course. Then, primal reactionary rage is always a necessary and sufficient response.)

I love that this is still up…

I love that this is still up with a over a hundred comments. The board would be unusable if this were common, but the novelty of this unicorn ass is very special.

It's so nice to have…

It's so nice to have coaching that's willing to go down swinging for once. Sure, not all the decisions work out, but in the aggregate it allows M's generally superior talent to make a difference.

Go Blue!

Go Blue!

They pulled a Fullcast…

They pulled a Fullcast abrupt ending on us!

Respect.

Seth - if you see this,…

Seth - if you see this, Dickinson's block rate on the graphic is actually his steal rate.

I was shocked it was so much lower than Garza's for a sec.

I used to listen when I was

I used to listen when I was driving around for work all the time and it was so much better than Cowherd, Mike and Mike, or the local hooligans. To each his own. I appreciated Le Batard's humor over Cowherd's smart-guy routine.

Makes sense. My situation was

Makes sense. My situation was unique because there were giant mansions w/ really long driveways on the perifery of my neighborhood that gave out king size candy bars, etc. No cutting between yards there, as there were generally fences and other obstacles between houses.

Hockey Player...

One Halloween I dressed up as a hockey so I could wear roller blades and go crazy fast. Worked great for the mansions w/ long driveways and hitting twice as many houses as anyone else, but not so great on wood porches after it started raining. The extra candy made up for the wipeouts, though.

Thanks for the heads up. Le Batard is great. One of the better things at ESPN.

This is an amazing idea.

Good job! I hope to see this idea used in the future when the competition level steps up and Jabrill is fully weaponized.
