Did Erick All announce he was coming back to UM?

I saw this briefly mentioned in another thread but I don’t know how to interpret it. Could just mean he will be back better than ever in the NFL. But it could mean he is planning on being back here. What is your take on this? Having Loveland and All next year would be a pair of lethal targets for JJ.

This board should have a pinned daily FAQ for stuff like this instead of actual posts. Pretty common on Reddit.
November 28th, 2022 at 8:44 PM ^
I think there should be one for recruiting/transfer portal stuff in the final month. For sure.
November 28th, 2022 at 8:41 PM ^
Man, Cade looked pretty sweet in that video tbh. Forgot how well he was throwing towards the end of the year. Whoever picks him up in the portal is getting a good one, assuming he is healthy and can get his confidence back.
Regarding All, yes please.

Portal? What? What are you trying to say?
November 28th, 2022 at 9:19 PM ^
That's just the new name for the Tunnel after the B1G sanctions...officially it's the Lloyd Carr Portal

That's gonna piss Izzo off.

The sun rising in the east will piss that short little troll off.

The sun rising in the east will piss that short little troll off.
The dreaded double post! Well, fuck it, might as well go with it then...The sun setting in the west will piss that short little troll off as well.

I think the mgoblog podcast mentioned he is likely coming back.
November 28th, 2022 at 8:51 PM ^
They mentioned on the podcast that he's likely back and it would make sense that given how little he played this year he'd try to give it a go next year. I know he has a kid so that might change his opinion but with NIL and the contours of the offense going forward it feels more likely than not that he's going to be back next year.

No politics but perhaps relevant.
Jim Harbaugh would raise the baby of any Michigan player, staff member dealing with unplanned pregnancy

No politics but Politics
November 28th, 2022 at 9:07 PM ^
All is taking care of his son. This is irrelevant.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:39 PM ^
Yeah, I have no idea why people are assuming anything about All's desire to be a parent here.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:07 PM ^
Why would All and his SO want Harbaugh to raise their baby?
November 28th, 2022 at 9:22 PM ^
It is a sad truth that many people either cannot, or will not raise their own children. I’m not making a comment on the “why “only the fact that it’s true in our society as we all know.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:31 PM ^
I know this is true. I'm just not sure why we have thrown All into this. It's insulting, IMO.
November 29th, 2022 at 6:11 AM ^
i wasn't commenting on all, merely the carnage that bad and/or no parenting causes which was implied in the comment(s) above.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:36 PM ^
Why is this relevant to this topic? It isn't.
November 29th, 2022 at 7:36 AM ^
look a few posts above mine from last night. that's why.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
He can raise mine. They're always getting on my nerves.
November 29th, 2022 at 12:36 AM ^
I would also be very appreciative if he could raise my son to be the best special teams coach in CFB …
November 29th, 2022 at 6:41 AM ^
Gives me the idea for a story about an orphanage that serves as a coaching pipeline. The Big House Rules.
"Goodnight you princes of Michigan, you Champions of the West."
November 29th, 2022 at 4:38 AM ^
Reminds me of a great oldie-but-goodie joke on the subject:
"My wife and I decided that we don't want children. We will be telling them tonight."
November 28th, 2022 at 9:39 PM ^
So their children can outcoach Ryan Days children in the future, obviously.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:09 PM ^
Harbaughs kid is already out coaching day
November 28th, 2022 at 10:13 PM ^
Might as well go ahead and have Harbaugh legitimate Day since we all know he's his daddy.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:26 PM ^
Harbaugh is going to rethink his offer if he has to raise dyed pube face
November 29th, 2022 at 8:06 AM ^
I wish Harbaugh would take care of my son.
He's 22 and wearing out my couch and xbox.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
That's not political. It's what he believes. Everyone should be so lucky as to have a rich, good human being take care of their kids, if they are unable to.
He's super rich, has a bunch of rich friends/ relatives and wants to take care of babies.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:37 PM ^
I'll refrain from getting too deep into how my personal views and Harbaugh's worldview on the matter of pregnancies differ but there's no evidence that All and his significant other don't plan, nor are incapable, of raising their child. My point was simply that All might consider giving it a go at the NFL level given the fact he was already receiving draft prognostications before his injury.
November 28th, 2022 at 11:23 PM ^
Tom Beaver is saying his sources are saying there’s a 65% that Jim Harbaugh helps take care of All’s baby.
November 29th, 2022 at 5:33 AM ^
How many crystal balls does All's baby have to Michigan?
November 28th, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
Whatever he chooses I just hope he stays healthy. You usually don’t just have one back surgery, let alone surgery for your spine.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:05 PM ^
I don't know, but I would love to have him back. Crazy to think the team has been able to go 12-0 without him (and several other key players). In any event, it's worth clicking on E.All's "gram" at the link above and listening to some Dope Boys (I think) while watching his highlight reel.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:35 PM ^
Would also love to have him back but Colston Loveland might out snap/reception/yardage/TDs him too.
But, even 2nd TE banana next year might be far better for his draft stock than (presumably) not being able to even do the combine and pro days this year.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
Michigan has plays where they have four tight ends on the field. The top 2 tight ends have had basically equivalent usage (at least the last two years). Colson Loveland and Erick All together is a deadly combination as 1A/1B
And for what it's worth I dont think Loveland will beat out All as the star tight end. He'll be really fucking good tho
November 28th, 2022 at 9:55 PM ^
Agreed. Michigan has been TE U for quite a long time. Think back to relatively recent names like Devin Funchess (a "TE") or Jake Butt, or even Eubanks/McKeon/Gentry. Or dig a little deeper for names like Massaquoi/Riemersma/Shea/Tuman/McGee...point is, if we did have a fully weaponized Erick All and a rising Colston Loveland, it might be the best duo we've ever had at the same time. I'm confident they'd get all the playing time and targets they could handle in this Harbaughffense.

Hate to say but Iowa has probably been more TE U than anybody.
November 29th, 2022 at 7:22 AM ^
Erick All blows all of those guys out of the water. In the years that I have been watching Michigan, I can't remember a guy who was so frequently the lynchpin of successful running plays as Erick All was last year. In the OSU game it reached insane levels -- It seemed like every single running play all day followed #83 and he was abusing some poor linebacker from OSU. Add on top of that he is a great receiver (once he got over his 2020 drop issues). He is the best tight end that I have seen at Michigan by a wide margin.
November 29th, 2022 at 9:43 AM ^
Best TE by a wide margin? I love All but that's a ridiculous take considering what Jake Butt accomplished at M.
Only thing that stopped him from being a great NFL TE was the ACLs.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
Yes, Colston is going to be great. But All is a very good receiver and a tremendous blocker. Don't forget the blocking.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:05 PM ^
I'm really wanting that cheeseburger in his Instagram photos.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:09 PM ^
It doesn’t surprise me. After having back surgery I think a year of solid production will help his draft stock. Just doing some quick googling he almost seems undraftable. Not my words or my opinion.
he comes back and has solid year with no issues related to his back and I think it catapults him on draft boards.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:35 PM ^
He is back next year...he got the surgery when he did so he could be rehab in the offseason and be ready for 2023. Paired with Loveland we will have the best TE duo of the past 15 years.
As for All, it sounds like he's got a nice NIL package helping him stay another year.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:50 PM ^
He’s back.
Looking to come back for a similar magical season
Man, those Cade to All throws are f’ing awesome. Cade is going to make history somewhere else.

Is Schoonmaker done after this year? He’s a COVID junior.
