This will be the thread for snowflakes about the overall coaching performance.

I am not confident that this team, these coaches know how to , or will ever make good  half time adjustments . If things are going well in the first half they just assume those things will continue. They seem to think the other team will continue to do the same things they did that were unsuccessful .

This will lead to bad things eventually

This might be the worst take I’ve seen on this board that I can remember. And that’s saying something. Nebraska played a pretty good football game, they just once again punched themselves in the balls at the end. When they weren’t doing that, they were very good and very explosive offensively. Winning on the road in prime time with a team that’s throwing the kitchen sink at you is not ever going to be easy. At gut check time, this team responded. If you’re a Michigan fan you should be proud and happy for the guys that actually played the game and fought their ass off to beat a talented albeit sloppy team on their home field.

Penn State struggled to beat the "bad" Wisconsin team we pummeled.  At home MSU looked inept against the Nebraska team we just beat.  I'm not sure what you point to after six games to declare those automatic losses, I'd say all 3 teams are in the same bucket as having a chance to win the Big Ten East with some impressive wins and a few questions that will be answered when they play each other and OSU.  And for the record Sparty worries me more at this point than PSU, there's a chance their offense is bordering on elite with the WR group they have and Walker at RB.

The favorite fantasy around here amongst the BPONE crowd seems to be that our idiot coaches don’t know how to make half-time adjustments.  Adjustments and changes are made on both O and D during the game in real time and after each drive.  Teaching occurs after each drive and sometimes after each play if a guy comes out.  Ya think our O coaches saw somethings in the 2nd half that allowed us to score and win?  Ya think maybe our D coaches saw the poor eye discipline our linebackers had in the 2nd half and coached them up and pointed out what they did wrong?  ?

How about we stop projecting the future beyond the next game and remember that we have pretty good players and a young coaching staff that are only going to get better?

Exactly about adjustments being made in between possessions…such as exposing the middle of the field with TE’s which in turn opened up Corum and Haskins later…..and the biggest one was taking away a couple screens after the big one on Nebraska’s first offensive drive. Middle screen sniffed out by Ojabo and then one to the edge later that Gemon Green took away on that big 3rd down on Nebraska’s last drive.

same with coming from behind twice in the fourth quarter.  i'll admit it, before the season i had them at 6 or 7 wins.  Cade said it best- other michigan teams lose that game.  This team is different.  I don't think they're playoff different, but they're different and I was wrong.  Great win...made even greater after the reaction shot of their ass coach after they turned it over on downs to end the game

Character-building win.  Nebraska is better than their record but when the chips were down, we found a way to win and made a damn play.  Probably not gonna destroy the Death Star this year but we found a way to jury rig a proton torpedo out of Jawa fodder and that’s a good place to start.

The long scores were a problem but we knew this wasn’t a steel curtain defense and we were gonna get got by a good offence.  But we took a punch in the mouth and got back up when previous teams did not.

I realized this after the Rutgers game. Despite fans (not just Michigan fans, but all fans) clamoring for head coaches to make wholesale changes when things aren't going right - that's never going to happen.
Coaches are creatures of habit and they are going to run what they know into the ground, no matter what. If it works, great. If it doesn't, then you lose. But slight deviations are all anyone is ever going to get, if even that.

Yes, the offense looks uninspired at times. The redundancy of running the ball just to set up a FG, like at the end of the game. But this is what Harbaugh knows and damned if he's going to change it for anyone or anything.

If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Lucky for us, it's worked six times already, regardless of how maddening it is. Maybe one day, it won't work out. But for now, it's what we have to live with and it's proving successful.

Have to disagree with you on the last field goal.  This is exactly what any coach worth his salt does in that situation, including Urban Meyer, Nick Saban etc.  You are tied - you are already in good field goal range, and there is limited time left on the clock.  You minimize the chances for turnovers and you play fore the filed goal.  This isn’t a video game.  He did the right thing there.  Also, heading into both Wisconsin and Nebraska we have been passing more.  In fact in both games we passed on the first play of the game.  The coaches are constantly scheming how to beat the other team with the team and players and skills they have.

My only complaint was not getting the ball in the center of the field on third down on the winning drive. But, it was not a terrible call because a first down or touchdown would have been sweet. We made the field goal regardless, so no problem.

good job. Win the game.

Moody has a draw on every one of his kicks, so it's good he was on the left.

It was, however, a terrible play call. If you are going to run, run forward with your best players and get a few more yards. Don't go backwards for five yards.

FYI- this is a reply to the post above you- not sure why it didn't post where it was supposed to.
