Home vs UM
Home vs Purdue
Potentially, there is a decent chance NW loses all three games, which would leave them 9-9 in the B10, losers of its last four games, and 20-11 overall. And they've been a solid lock for the tourney for a while. Michigan is 9-9 against top 100 RPI teams, NW is 8-9 currently, with two losses to Illinois.
Looking at NW's resume, it would seems like we would need only two more wins if we wanted to feel safe, for comparison's sake.

But if Butt can't participate, could someone advocate for Thomas to take his place? Or would that throw off the number of participants per position?

Gotta do what's best for him. And if he becomes the guy that helps take down Clemson or FSU, even better.

Says the Rams are going after Pete Carroll. So, just to restate the point, no one knows nothing about nothing.

That would be me.

And turned the ball over to Atlanta on the 3 yard line. The astute color guy says, "That is not the start they needed for the Rams." Where do they find these guys?
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Agreed||
Harbaugh's not one to forget. Lord knows, he might not forgive either. We'll just have to find out next year. For now, this is just another game that he needs to prepare for and win.

The CFP chose the teams that had the four best records in P5 conferences (sorry WMU). This is regardless of which teams were played and beaten. Although I understand that logic, it brings up the point that, if this is how the Final Four will be chosen, why even have mid-season rankings that change, or even a committee to begin with? At the end of the day, the record is all that matters, so going foward, they should just choose the four best records at the end of the year and rank them accordingly. If there are matching records, then you can seed by strength of conference.

Who says he's not? Since he's been AD, how much have we really heard from him? Shouldn't a good AD work behind the scenes instead of being front and center all the time, like a certain former AD? I'm sure Warde is doing the best he can to help Michigan, but he doesn't need to hold a rally or parade to do so.

To get two teams in the playoff failed? Serves him right. The blog's current mantra couldn't be more apropos

Stopped you from remembering how to throw a football.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||So on that last shot by Irvin||
There's two explanations.
Either, Beilein called that play, an iso for Irvin where he dribbles around and burns the shot clock. If that's the case, shame on JB. Or..
Irvin went into business for himself for the umpteenth time in his career, which, if so, shame on him.
It's been stated ad nauseum during the last few years, Irvin and Walton are incapable of displaying leadership on this team, and their actions back up that claim. Neither is having an "aneurysm" any time soon, and the team will suffer under their guidance.

We get a group of people and chain ourselves to the outside of the Big Ten office building. Seems that's what any rational person in this situation would do.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||How many Fr and So are projected for Michigan next year||
OSU had 10 freshman or sophomores in its starting 22 this year and they were a blocked FG away from going 12-0. They didn't look like they had trouble rebuilding.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||One other issue||
Is that OSU is presumingly going to make the playoff having to play one less game. So, if the committee is hell bent on putting OSU in, they should take into account that Washington, Alabama and Clemson had to play one more game to earn the right to get in. If all three win, the only fair thing to do would be to put OSU fourth and force them to play Alabama in the semi.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||So if you look at it from a head to head standpoint||
Your Big 10 hierarchy would be:
OSU 2-1 (Beat Mich and Wisc, lost to PSU)
Michigan 2-1 (Beat Wisc and PSU, lost to OSU)
PSU 1-1 (beat OSU, lost to Mich)
Wisconsin 0-2 (lost to OSU and Mich)
So technically, the third and fourth best teams in the conference are going to play for the title. By this logic, Michigan should be ranked ahead of Wisc and PSU at this time. Even if PSU beats Wisc, it ends up 2-1, but have lost to Michigan in the head-to-head matchup. Wisconsin would only have one quality win against the other three, if it wins the title game.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||You don't need to know anyone||
If you want, just directly email that info to the national media college football writers like Forde and the like. If they feel it newsworthy, they'll jump on it. Email it to Mike Greenberg or Graham Watson at Yahoo, see what they have to say.
I'm not trying to make the seemingly sour grapes situation worse, I'm just suggesting this so things could change in the future. I want integrity just like any other fan.
|13 weeks 2 days ago||The reason for that||
Is that Michigan has a direct path to the playoff if we beat OSU. That's boring. OSU's path is more complicated and can be discussed.
