I had the opportunity to meet Percy when I interviewed him for a large project I was doing on minorities in the coaching ranks of college football. He met with me on several occasions for over an hour each time and naturally our conversations would turn towards the game. Percy loved Michigan football. The one thing that I will always be in debt to him for was when he took off his '97 title ring and let me try it on. |

If I were King...assuming 23 spots available I see 21 we have to set aside for positions. QB: 1 - Have to take one OL: 5 - Whether you include Williams or not TE: 2 - Whether you include Williams or not WR: 2 - Depth chart scares me DT: 2 DE: 3 LB: 4 - Full CB: 1 S: 1 That leaves two scholarships for the best talent regardless of position. Don't think I'd look any further at LB though. Personally I would like to see them spent on another DB, or if possible, a stud RB. |

it was the frozen 4, step it up rookie. We had 3 UM grads huddled around my slingbox til 5am here in Prague. Had the UM flag hangin out the window for allllll the czech to marvel at. |

use the term walmart wolverine. Even as an alum some of the biggest UM fans I know did not attend the school. A byproduct of a pretty badass thing is that people are going to like it. The more the merrier. I'm not saying you're being anything other than lighthearted, I just hate the term. As far as the atmosphere, it sounded pretty loud to me. Students are on spring break as well so that would speak for the lack of jumping around assuming the general population could buy tickets down there as they usually can for voided season ticket games. |
