OSU had gotten so used to beating RR, Hoke and early Harbaugh that they can't wrap there minds around the fact the no longer have it easy. They now think a win against Michigan is their birthright.
Had an OSU fan tell me there is no way Michigan's defense would be great without cheating. He cited that Michigan's recruiting classes are ranked 20th and that doesn't jibe with a great defense. Besides being factual wrong (Michigan's recruiting classes have been around 10th), it also ignores coaching, player development... I asked him, so does Hutchinson cheat now? Cause he is still performing way above his recruiting ranking.

Try agreeing with them. Maybe even leaning into it (without being obvious). Now they are holding this bag of "of course we will win" the entire season. The day of the game just let it smolder then fester like an open wound. A good ole "Wow I did not see that coming" is the chefs kiss.

OP needs to put the whole quote in there as well as the context. Maurice is actually on our side and against the ncaa. But again in a great sign of censorship the op did not choose to include that remark. Sign of the times. He sure got a lot of upvotes though. And just like the national media stories this is a great example of just the wrong track of thought process. I mean if you really read through and look at his Twitter posts he actually comes out totally in favor of us and against the ncaa.

Eh, is that his fault… or just that he came from a not-great academic environment as a kid, and being an outstanding athlete, he was coddled and protected so he never, ever had reason to do well in class, and went to a university where players dont have to play school and only lasted what two years there?

Not sure if he actually passed any classes or not, but I seem to recall that a teaching assistant at OSU told the NYT that he hadn't even attended any classes and was getting "preferential treatment" from the professors.
And, needless to say, the ensuing OSU investigation found nothing wrong.
