Well, to be fair - it was like a fourth and two.  The variance came from where they were on the field - not the play itself.

You also neglect to mention the Lions fumbling when they were driving - also took points off the board for them.

I think, overall, it was a pretty evenly matched game with one or two more plays that swung in the Lions' favor. You play that game ten times, and one team probably wins 5 or maybe 6 times, but not more.  That in and of itself is a big step forward for the Lions....

This right here is being understated. The narrative seems to be that of the Lions fighting the notion that this win isn’t as legit because of Kelce being out.

Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in NFL history and is only overshadowed because he’s coached in the era of Bill Belicheck. The bro is known for building his teams on mobile QBs and mostly no name backs, tight ends and receivers.

Campbell showed some serious stones against one of the best to ever coach the game, along with the best QB in the league and an offensive line who cheating all game.

I'm really enjoying the win, but still in complete fucking disbelief that the RT was *objectively* doing the tango for 2 seconds before the snap, 2 yards behind the LOS, on every single pass play all game, and didn't get called for it until the last drive of the game for KC

I think that is the most surprising thing. They swallowed their whistle on obvious calls all night and then called them correctly on the last drive.  Usually the last drive is when The Lions get screwed on a call, so it was surprising that they actually made correct calls on the last drive for KC. It doesn't excuse all the obvious missed false starts, but it was surprising to NOT see The Lions get some crazy weird rules call on a critical last drive of a game for a loss.

The non-call/call that really stood out to me was the tripping called on the Lions…the series right after Donovan Smith tried to trip Hutchinson after getting knocked on his ass. It wasn’t as obvious but it was clear the KC tackles were doing everything they could, most of it illegal, to slow Hutchinson down. It was the first game for the refs too so maybe they will improve but it very much seemed like there a decision to swallow the whistle when Mahomes was in the game.

Branch, Campbell, Gibbs, & LaPorta what a rookie game-1 on the road in that environment vs defending Champs.

CJ is a difference maker. TY Philly.

Also, I get that they had their TE out which they mentioned 30× but no mentioned of Jameson..okay.
