ND vs Navy starts it off 2:30 PM!!! Playing in Dublin at Aviva Stadium. USC vsSan José State @ 8pm would be the only other ranked team playing in week 0. Last game of the night 9pm LTU vs FIU.

ND and USC roll to start their season. About 10 hours worth of football today, nothing too exciting, but I’ll be watching and hoping for a few nail biters!

college football is back!!

Not the best slate but could be worse. Go navy and San Jose. ND losing and then knocking off OSU in a few weeks would be the greatest thing ever.

Perhaps I should clarify my comment.

I look forward to about 164 hours from now - when I pull into the tailgate area at 6:05 am for Michigan’s home opener.   I am looking forward to this season with great anticipation.   The character of this year’s Wolverines Squad seems very, very high.

What I respectfully disagree with - is the OOC games scheduled this season.  The quality of the OOC games is poor.  There maybe a total of four OOC games this season which are of interest to me.  FSU v LSU, Texas @ Bama, OSU @ ND - after that… hmmm.

FWIW - I hope Navy wins today.

Bring on the season.  Go Blue!

If you don't have Dish Network and have figured out how to stream Pac 12 Network please post your tips here. I know they don't offer a la carte streaming and I like my YTTV so have no plans to switch providers. Any brilliant ideas in MGoBlogland?

Ha! Back in the day when I lived in Ann Arbor (70's to mid-80's) I heard stories about friends and family who had a guy who jiggered them free all-inclusive cable. I never looked into it and wouldn't consider it at this point in my life but...intrigued nonetheless. If for no other reason than curiosity.

This just in, USC's defense is still terrible.  Just saw a single play in which they left the RB wide open on a wheel route AND committed defensive holding on the same play.  They got pressure on the QB almost immediately so he didn't see the open wheel route but the penalty bailed out the offense.

Also the fact that SJSU is moving the ball and keeping things interesting obviously says a lot.
