I skipped the obvious Miles, Shaw, Sumlin holy trinity that is very popular and went to the next group of more realistic ones.  Scanning the Big 5 conferences there aren't many ones who (a) have done something and (b) are realistically available.   Charlie Strong would have been very appealing if this was a year ago.  Without going to college assistants or the NFL route (ooh Schiano!) it is hard to find anyone after Graham who fits points (a) and (b) and are really appealing.  Dude who went to Wyoming might be interesting in a few years.  I guess Briles is popular but with a 10 year contract at $4M+, doubt he is going anywhere.

D.C. is actually someone I see Brandon being more interested than myself - he loves Duke.  Can't you hear the "They do it right" mantra already?

I say all this with the reality that either Harbaugh is like a 0.5% chance.

If we knock off MSU in EL or look like caged animals who lose by 3-4, I'll revoke the list immediately and bring out my pom poms.

So to me, that uniform is pretty "whatever." No love/hate for it, it just is what it is.

I wonder if Utah fans see it and scream "UNIFORMZZZZ!!!!" like we do at times.

I can speak to Utah fans' feelings on the all-white uniforms (I started teaching at the University of Utah this semester, so I have been able to observe Utah's fanbase up close on almost a daily basis):

I am sad to report that when Utah fans see these special, all-white uniforms, they do not scream "UNIFORMZZZ!!!"  Instead, they view the special, all-white uniforms as a reflection of team morale.  And as of this past week, that morale is very, very high among the fans.

I am given to understand (by sources I personally trust and know to have inside access) that Utah's football team is most excited to return to the Big House: that they remember their last visit, that they enjoyed that outing, and can't wait to pay us another visit.

I was sure hoping that Ray Taylor and Jarrod Wilson would be available for this game.  I think the D needs them more than the O needs Funchess.  But after none of them dressed for Miami (NTM), and after seeing Funchess hobbling around on the sidelines, I'm not very optimistic about their return for this one.

Tradition is fun but, all tradition had to start somewhere. I never understand the hate for the special uniforms. Imagine 100 years ago if everyone got mad when football switched to jerseys instead of sweaters or the first time we touched the banner coming out for a game, if the fans had said we need to pet Fritz Crisler cat before every game.... imagine how hard it would be recruiting if we had to rub a cats corpse before every game!

You think it's easy being a douche like Dantonio!?!

You can't handle being that douche! Son, we live in a world that has steroid-shrunken balls. And those balls have to be guarded by men with clear gels and special creams. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Manballsblue? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Denard's neck and you curse Narduzzi. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Bulloch's bowl suspension, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at couch fires, you want me on those balls. You need me on those balls.

We use words like "acurate", "Staee", "whereas" ...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the fragrance of the very douchedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a needle and "audit" a class. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!
